NETWORK MARKETING IS THE SIMPLEST PART TO PROSPERITY IN HISTORY OF CAPITALISM. It's a pity those that started Network Marketing in this country started on a wrong footing and using a wrong model. Network Marketing has been misconstrued to be buying and selling of supplements and drugs- which was what the pioneers did in Nigeria and failed woefully.. The truth is network marketing is a referral system, which is ideal for someone looking for a part time job that will give a passive income. I currently built a network marketing business, that presently gives me a monthly income more than my present job is paying me, without me selling a single item. The model is meant for busy work place professionals who are too busy to be doing buying and selling model. Just as someone has said earlier, if you are interested in considering that angle, call me : 08065733884.(BBPIN: 23BE19CA ) A good plan B income should not interfere with your plan A. Remember, all the business that has been suggested so far needs you to be present to do it (they are not a system) , Network marketing on the other hand requires littler percent of plenty people's effort that counts to you in form of bonuses and incentives

Politics / David Cameron To Question Nigerian Leaders On Same-sex Marriage Bill by Mbeki: 7:25pm On Jun 19, 2013
Britain will engage Nigeria on the bill seeking to stop same-sex marriage, British Prime Minister David Cameron said yesterday.

He was speaking against the backdrop of the legislation already passed by the National Assembly prescribing 14 years imprisonment for same sex marriage offenders. The bill is waiting for presidential assent to become law.

Cameron said yesterday “nothing should be off the table” when it comes to foreign aid and protecting equal rights. He spoke on a BBC programme.

Cameron told the BBC that he would be raising the issue with Nigeria’s leaders.

“With countries like Nigeria, where we have a very good relationship, a very strong relationship, nothing should be off the table”, the prime minister said.

“So when we meet with Nigerian politicians and Nigerian leaders, we should be very clear about those things that we agree about and very clear where we disagree.”

Mr Cameron said the UK has a “very good record on equal rights for lesbian and gay people”, adding: “we believe that’s right for every country in the world.”

“The matter of your sexuality is something that shouldn’t be a disadvantage to you [just as] your religion, or your race, or the way you should choose your life “

When asked if UK foreign aid should be docked from Nigeria, the prime minister said: “We will have to have some conversations with them, as I said nothing is off the table and we should have these conversations, but we also have some very important objectives with the Nigerians for instance to deal with the appalling rates of poverty in the north of Nigeria which [is] part of a problem that affects not just Nigeria but the rest of the world.”

The PM added: “But as I said, nothing [is] off the table; always prepared to have these conversations, and my view very strongly is that we should have proper equality for lesbian and gay people and that should apply everywhere in the world.”

This one will be called Google Loon!
Computers / Google To Use Balloons To Provide Free Internet Access To Remote Or Poor Areas by Mbeki: 8:51am On Jun 18, 2013
Google recently announced Project Loon, a plan to provide free Internet access to disaster-stricken, rural, or poor areas using giant helium balloons that beam Wi-Fi signals to the ground below. Eventually, as the balloons move across the stratosphere, consumers in participating countries along the 40th parallel in the Southern Hemisphere could access the service. Project Loon aims to provide much cheaper worldwide Internet connections, says Google's Mike Cassidy. "We think we can help and start having a discussion on how to get 5 billion people in remote areas" connected to the Internet, he says. The thin plastic balloons use a mix of highly sophisticated and basic methods to deliver Internet connections of at least 3G cellular speeds. The balloons are equipped with antennas, radios, solar power panels, and navigation equipment that can communicate with specialized antennas on rooftops below. As long as one of the balloons is within a 24-mile radius, users should be able to access the network, according to Google. The company, which needs permission from local governments to access public airwaves, will first test the balloons in New Zealand. "There is an enormous problem of affordability of broadband access in much of the developing world," notes consultant Gene Kimmelman.

Computers / The Us Prism Project- Are Our Information Safe by Mbeki: 4:00pm On Jun 11, 2013
PRISM is a secret government program...

As much as PRISM might sound like a comic book antagonist of S.H.I.E.L.D., it's the codename for a very real US government program. According to leaked documents, it went into effect in 2007, and has only gained momentum since. Its stated purpose is to monitor potentially valuable foreign communications that might pass through US servers, but it appears that in practice its scope was far greater.
PRISM information, according to the Post, accounts for nearly 1 in 7 intelligence reports. That's staggering.

...that gives the NSA unprecedented access to the servers of major tech companies...

Microsoft. Yahoo. Google. Facebook. PalTalk. AOL. Skype. YouTube. Apple. If you've interacted with any of those companies in the last six years, that information is vulnerable under PRISM. But how?

The initial reports from last night suggested that the process works as follows: The companies mentioned above (and who knows how many others) receive a directive from the attorney general and the director of national intelligence. They hand over access to their servers—and the tremendous wealth of data and communiques that passes through them every day—to the FBI’s Data Intercept Technology Unit, which in turn relays it to the NSA.
What's most troubling about PRISM isn't that it collects data. It's the type of data it collects. According to the Washington Post report, that includes:

…audio and video chats, photographs, e-mails, documents, and connection logs… [Skype] can be monitored for audio when one end of the call is a conventional telephone, and for any combination of “audio, video, chat, and file transfers” when Skype users connect by computer alone. Google’s offerings include Gmail, voice and video chat, Google Drive files, photo libraries, and live surveillance of search terms.
Did you get all that? Similar depth of access applies to Facebook, Microsoft, and the rest. Just to be clear: this covers practically anything you've ever done online, up to and including Google searches as you type them.

Phones / Bad Apple: What's Happening To Steve's Company? by Mbeki: 5:01pm On Apr 22, 2013
Chinese "app store" lets Chinese Apple fans download pirated apps. Chinese site 7659.com has turned Apple’s own bulk enterprise licensing technology against it to make pirated apps available for free. You don't even need to jailbreak to use them. VentureBeat takes a closer look.

The site, which is only available within China unless you spoof your location via a proxy server, offers a wide selection of iPhone and iPad apps. In just a few moments, I found Final Fantasy V, a $16 iPad game; Badland, a newish $4 app; Le Vamp, a $2 game for iPhone and iPad, and many others.

The rather inventive justification of the company behind the site, Kuaiyong, is that many Chinese Apple users find it difficult to manage iTunes.

In order for Chinese Apple fans to download applications securely, Kuaiyong developed its own method of giving users access to thousands of free apps without having to jailbreak their devices.

Our goal has always been about bringing Chinese Apple users with quick, convenient and pleasant IOS experience. Since the introduce of Kuaiyong, the proportion of jailbreak in China has declined dramatically from 60% to around 30%.
The problem for Apple of course, is that it is not earning any revenue from the pleasant iOS experience of all those Chinese users.

Nollywood actor Solomon Akiyesi brags

Oh really?

One would have thought that the actor would be ashamed of the mess he created on Saturday but apparently he is not – as a matter of fact he sees it as an upliftment to his movie career – what nonsense!

After the shocking drama which happened on Saturday and saw his marriage attempt being cancelled, Solomon ‘Supposedly’ called a producer friend who bares the same first name with him and boasted about now being very popular all over the Internet and on the print media.
He also bragged that his artiste fee will be increased as he is now a household name.

He was also supposedly quoted as bragging that he ”almost hammered if not for quick intervention” as concerns Uloma who is quite financially stable.
Celebrities / Cristiano Ronaldo Died Is Dead by Mbeki: 6:47am On Mar 25, 2013
THIS STORY IS STILL DEVELOPING...

(Local Team News 9) Cristiano Ronaldo died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident - March 25, 2013
Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that Cristiano Ronaldo lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly.

The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident.

Witnesses have stated that Cristiano Ronaldo's car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll.

Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether he was driving under the influence, however initial findings indicate that durgs or alcohol did not contribute in any way to this accident as it was more likely to been caused by road conditions.

Memorial services for Cristiano Ronaldo have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.

Additional details and information will be forthcoming as they become available.

Politics / El-rufai’s New Book: Whoever Wins, I’ll Run Aso Rock From My Farm – Obasanjo by Mbeki: 8:59am On Jan 11, 2013
Revelations have emerged on how former president Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo vowed that 2007 and 2011 would be a “transition period”, and how he would continued to spearhead the affairs of the nation from his Ota Farm, in Ogun State irrespective of the fact that there would be a ‘sitting president.’

All these and more were revealed in a recently published memoir by an Obasanjo confidant and former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai.
The book entitled, “The Accidental Public Servant” x rayed the good, bad and the ugly of the Obasanjo’s regimes.

The book reveals that though OBJ as he’s fondly called had personally ensured that the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua succeeded him in 2007, he nevertheless planned to administer the country from his Ota Farm. He described the 2007-2011 period as a transition because all his point’s men, including the “economic team” would continue to dominate the scene.

El-Rufai recalls the former president telling him thus: “Well, nothing will change, you know. I will be in Ota but we will be running things. Everything will remain the same, you know. You will remain in the government, the economic team will remain. Nothing will change. Only I will move to Ota and Yar’Adua will be here but we will be running things.”

When el-Rufai informed Obasanjo that he intended taking at least two years’ break from government business, the former president responded: “OK, well I just thought I should call you and explain to you that the next four years is just a transition period. The real change in government will happen in 2011. Not now.”

The book, which will be launched at 10:30am on February 7, at the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja exposed that the former president begged his deputy on “bended knees,” for his political survival.

In the 627-page book, El-Rufai said on page 151, “The stakes were high enough for Obasanjo to swallow his considerable pride and go to Atiku on bended knees.

“Obasanjo had no problem going down on his knees to beg for what he thought was impossible to obtain any other way.”

This rare and calculated display of humility came around 2003 when Obasanjo feared he could lose the People’s Democratic Party’s re-nomination bid, if he did not make peace with Atiku.

“The political bricksmanship got so bad that Obasanjo had to visit Atiku’s residence unannounced to plead for Atiku’s support.

The book also faults the leadership recruitment processes, noting that it is at the root of the nation’s problems, as it sacrifices merit. He said that the choice of the late Yar’Adua and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as president and vice-president by Obasanjo was “the final nail in the coffin of any meritocracy or track record of governance in Nigeria.

“President Obasanjo chose Umaru Yar’Adua whose ill-health, among other challenges, was known already constituted a serious impediment to the possibility of any inspired and energetic leadership. The view of many well-informed Nigerians is that Yar’Adua and his deputy, Goodluck Jonathan, emerged for no other discernable reasons than being ‘weak’ governors sympathetic to the ‘Third Term’ project and therefore handpicked as payback.

“The subsequent electoral imposition of Goodluck Jonathan as president in 2011 via military occupation and rigging has been unhelpful in raising leadership quality. Jonathan went into a presidential contest without a campaign manifesto, boasting of no experience, merit and any track record of previous performance other than wearing no shoes to school and his ‘good luck’.

It's amazing how women are wired, just by listening to a particular bass of voice, they remember everything said!
Romance / Why Deep-voiced Men Get All The Ladies by Mbeki: 3:53pm On Jan 07, 2013
Evolution has thrown women under the bus once again, it seems. Maybe it should change its name to evil-ution.

Apparently women remember objects that are presented to them more accurately when they are introduced by a deep male voice, as opposed to a higher-pitched male voice. The study, conducted by David Smith and colleagues from the U.K.'s University of Aberdeen, and published online in Springer's journal, Memory & Cognition, shows for the first time that a low masculine voice is important both in terms of "mate choice and the accuracy of women's memory."

Said Smith: "Our findings demonstrate that women's memory is enhanced with lower pitch male voices, compared with the less attractive raised pitch male voices. Our two experiments indicate for the first time that signals from the opposite-sex that are important for mate choice also affect the accuracy of women's memory."

Less attractive? David Smith must not have listened to Justin Timberlake's second solo album. At least not all the way through.

Dr. Kevin Allan, who supervised the research, said, "We think this is evidence that evolution has shaped women's ability to remember information associated with desirable men. Good memory for specific encounters with desirable men allows women to compare and evaluate men according to how they might behave in different relationship contexts, for example a long-term committed relationship versus a short-term uncommitted relationship. This would help women to pick a suitable partner, and that's a particularly important ability to have because the costs of poor mate-choice decisions can be severe."

But wait a sec... another study, from March 2011, has found that when choosing a partner, women believe that the lower a man's voice, the more likely he will cheat. Deep male voices indicate higher testosterone levels, which are "tied to adulterous behavior," according to the researchers (the same goes for higher female voices, except with estrogen levels). So, we like lower voices but we also think men with lower voices will cheat? Nature, you are one cruel momma.

What do you think about this study? Do you find men with lower voices more attractive?

Politics / How Okonjo-Iweala's Mother Escaped From Kidnappers - Police by Mbeki: 7:27pm On Dec 14, 2012
Police Give Conflicting Details Regarding Okonjo-Iweala's Mother's Escape From Kidnappers

The official story given by police to explain the release of kidnapped Prof. Kamene Okonjo, mother of Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, is raising doubt about the real circumstances surrounding her escape.

At a press conference, Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ikechukwu Aduba, said the Queen Mother was freed by her abductors after five days in confinement and taken home by motorcycle from Kwale, 50 kilometers away. The young man who dropped off Mrs. Okonjo has been arrested and is being questioned, police said.

What remains confusing is the mode of transportation of Professor Okonjo on a motorbike from the scene of freedom to her home if actually the police stormed the kidnappers hideout and rescued her as being claimed.

With the case "resolved," it remains unclear whether those arrested in recent days in connection with the kidnapping would be released or charged.

The Queen Mother of Ogwashi-Uku was kidnapped last Sunday at aboaut 1:47 p.m. by 10 armed kidnappers at her husband’s palace.

Unofficial sources told our reporter that the Queen Mother managed to free herself unassisted, but an updated police version of the story alleges that police stormed the kidnappers’ den in Asaba, the state capital, where they killed one suspect, Nwaze Nwosa aka Bolaji, arrested another gang member and shot four members of the gang who escaped with bullet wounds.

It is unclear what role the storming of a location in Asaba had to do with the kidnap victim regaining her freedom in Kwale. Also unknown is whether a ransom was paid to facilitate her release.

Earlier, the Police Command blamed "insiders" for orchestrating the Queen Mother’s abduction, and they unmasked the identity of 25 suspected kidnappers, armed robbers and pipeline vandals that have been terrorizing the oil rich state.

Briefing journalists at the command headquarters in Asaba today, CP Aduba said the sensitive nature of Queen Mother Okonjo’s kidnap made the command beam its searchlight on any obvious errors or lapses either on the part of the palace guards or the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ogwashi-Uku. He said the release of the victim involved the combined efforts of the crack team of policemen deployed by the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar, and the proactiveness of men of the Special Anti-Crime Squad (SARS).

According to him, “the Delta State Police supported by a crack team from IGP’s Special Task Force on Terrorism, Abuja, consciously and professionally with due caution collated intelligence on the activities of the hoodlums and struck their hideouts in Asaba.” He said the manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang was on and that the command would not rest until they were arrested.

He displayed the items recovered from their hideouts to include an ash-coloured Golf 3 car with registration number DELTA ASB 697 AA, which he said had been used to transport the Queen Mother out of the palace; and a white Toyota bus, labeled God’s Delight Church International, with registration number ANAMBRA KPP 64 XA.

A Police source in the state told SaharaReporters that the dead leader of the kidnap gang had been on the most wanted list for his alleged involvement in a series of kidnapping and violent crimes in the state. He also stated that the Delta state police command once arrested him and charged him with various crimes, but he was released without trial and kidnappings continue unabated in the state.

Mrs Okonjo is a retired professor of sociology at the University of Nigeria in Nsukka.
Her husband, Obi Chukwuka Okonjo Agbogidi, a retired professor of economics, is the traditional ruler of the Ogwashi-Uku kingdom in Delta State.

14 June 2012
H.E. Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan(GCFR)
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
State House, Abuja
Your Excellency,
MALYASIAN GARDEN MASS HOUSING PROJECT, SARAJI DISTRICT, ABUJA

As mentioned during the farewell call on you on 7 June 2012, my only regret during my tenure as High Commissioner in Abuja is regarding the Malaysian Garden project. Your Excellency has kindly requested me to write to you on the matter
2.
The US$600 million mass housing project was in response to former olusegun Obasanjo's initiative to welcome Malaysian investors to Nigeria including real estate development. it is envisaged to provide 14,085 housing units including medium, and low income groups in Abuja. This would greatly address housing supply in the city and add value to the Federal Capital.
3.
It is sad that the project is still uncolpleted after six(6) years despite the best efforts of the global Formwork Nigeria Ltd, the developer of the Malyasian Nigeria joint venture. The developer was taken to court by the then FCT Minister, Mr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar, having accounts frozen and being investigated by the EFCC and numerous bureaucratic obstacles. The building plan approval wa only given after 5 years during the time of former Minister Adamu Aliero. As of today, the engineering drawings namely for roads, sewage, electrical, storm, water etc, submitted since 2004 have yet to be approved. it is pending for 8 years now, Excellency

"4.Despite those challenges, none posed so much hardship to the developer than the present difficulties created by the current Minister, Senatir Bala Mohammed. The Minister on 21 February 2011, had threatened to take back the land (land originally given by past ministers for the Malaysian assisted mass housing project) unless the developer agrees to give as much as 400 hectares to him which is 80% of the total area of land of the project which will effectively kill the mass housing project. He also asked the Nigeria Igbo partner to be changed which the Malaysian side would not agree. The minister even hinted the possibility of using EFCC and the Police against the Developer if his demands are not met. All efforts to find amicable solution failed.Senator Bala Mohammed has refused to approve all the engineering drawings or even register the housing project. This puts the developers in a dilemma. The developer cannot proceed with the project at all. If the developer hands over 1800 units which are nearing completion, the buyers will not be able to occupy or sell the houses due to lack of certificate of Occupancy.
Excellency,
5. I really believe the Minister is not doing all those actions to protect Nigeria's interests, but he is driven more because od selfish interests. In this regard, I appeal to you sir, in the best interest od good brotherly bilateral relations between Malaysia and Nigeria to ask the Minister to urgently approve the engineering drawings and cease harrasing the developer si that the project can proceed.
6.
I enclose a copy of Chief G.N Ebom's letter to you datd 13 June 2012 and my letter to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo dated 15 March 2011, detailing the problems faced by the developer in executing the project, for your information. You may also check with former Minister Prof. Dora Akunyili and Chief Emeka Anyaoku, who are aware of the role of Senator Bala Mohammed, in trying to scuttle the project which may deter other Malyasian ventures in Nigeria.
7.
As I leave ABuja, I wish to put on record my desire to continue working as a friend of Nigeria. I am happy to assist Nigerian Ambassador in Romania to promote this great country which is like my second home to me.

Please accept , Excellency, the assusrances of my highest consideration.

Politics / Finally, Suntai’s Aides Flown Abroad To Germany For Treatment by Mbeki: 10:47am On Oct 30, 2012
The transfer of the three aides to Germany came as the state government declared that there was no power vacuum in the state.
Mr. Bello declared that the deputy governor, Alhaji Sani Abubakar was holding forte for the governor while he recuperates.
The three aides involved in the air crash are Dasat Iliya, the Aide de Camp, ADC; Timo Dangana, Chief Security Officer, CSO, to the governor; and Joel Dan, Chief Detail. They had earlier been transferred to the National Hospital, weekend.
According to Bello: “The three aides are in the National Hospital and are all showing great signs of improvement. In fact, one of them was even walking around and others were talking with family members.
“They are in very, very stable condition. There were only four persons in the plane and there were three aides and they are all doing fine.
“The governor is fine and all the reports we are getting show that he is doing fine. It is only that we were not taking chances and that is why he was moved to Germany. It is the same for all the other aides. They were moved to Germany as well. There is no preferential treatment as some were trying to insinuate
