Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Tope Alabi has narrated how she lives a simple life despite being a celebrity and almost became a nun due to parental pressure.

The ‘eru ogo’ singer told saturday beat:

“When I was about seven years old, my parents told me God was going to use me but I didn’t believe them, they actually thought I was going to be a Sister because I was born into a Catholic family.

“I told them I didn’t want to be a Sister even though I loved Catholicism. They were worried that I didn’t want to go to the convent. My mother always insisted that I would work for God. Interestingly, I got my style of singing from my mother. Sometimes, when I sing, I listen to her voice in me,”

On living a private life despite her celebrity status, she said:

“I still go to the market to buy groceries; I don’t like the idea of living the life of a celebrity. Sometimes when I want to go out, I take public transport. There was a day I boarded the BRT bus in Lagos to get to the popular Balogun market; I could hear the passengers whispering to one another.

“They were arguing if I was the one or not. They were saying Tope Alabi is not a poor person so there is no way she will be on a public bus. When I was about to alight from the bus, I revealed my identity to the driver, and this made many of the passengers to also get down from the bus to take pictures with me.

“Sometimes, it is necessary to have a taste of what it feels like to be an ordinary woman on the street. Many celebrities do not live their real life and are not free to do whatever they like; that is why I don’t restrict myself. When someone is not free to do what they feel like doing, like every other person on the street, it causes depression which can even lead to death.

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has revealed that he has kissed over 200 actresses on movie sets, and this shouldn’t come as a surprise to many.

Jim once confessed that he had kissed not less than 200 actresses while on different movie sets said he has a habit of kissing women openly, including his sisters.

He narrated a situation where he had to kiss three European ladies who accompanied his girl friend to the airport to welcome him, during one of his foreign trips, adding that he doesn’t see anything wrong with it.

He also painted another scenario, where he had to kiss four actresses in the presence of their boy friends.

Jim said;

“I have once kissed them on set, and so, when I walked into the room where two of them were with their boy friends, I kissed them one after the other and their boy friends were mad at me. I have also kissed over 200 actresses on set and nobody is talking about it.”

Newly engaged, pregnant celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji has finally responded to Kemi Olunloyo’s claims that her pregnancy is fake and just a publicity stunt.

After News broke out last week that celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji is pregnant, Journalist Kemi Olunloyo opined that the pregnancy is fake and just a prosthetic baby bump.

Responding to the allegations, Linda shared photos of her bare bump minutes ago with this long caption below:-

Most of the people who know me will tell you that I have a heart of gold and maybe that’s why God never stops blessing me.

This woman (you know who…lol) has been trolling me for years and calling me all sorts of unprintable names which I have never responded to.

But when she cried out for help last year, despite the abuses I’ve gotten from her, I sent money to her account. I harbor no hate for anyone, no matter what.

And I swear I would have sent more money to her if people around me hadn’t stopped me. I just felt pity for her that she was languishing in prison and no one to help her.

And not only did I send money (which I did privately and she made public), I called a few people I know to see what they could do to help bring her out of prison. No matter what, she is a woman, and I am all about women supporting women.

She wrote that I am wearing a prosthetic baby bump…lol. Like I could get away with that in Nigeria? And some folks actually believe it…lol. If I couldn’t have a child, I would proudly adopt. Proudly. I love children so much. But fortunately, God blessed me with a womb to carry my own child.

I was just hiding the baby bump until I got to my second trimester before letting you amazing people know. I could have continued hiding it to be honest but I just couldn’t keep calm…lol. I’ve had the easiest pregnancy with no swelling and no issues and I thank God.

Lastly, here’s something I want to say to everyone. I remember when I bought my house in Banana Island in 2015, many didn’t believe it. In fact one tweet said ‘If you believe that Linda Ikeji owns a home in Banana Island, I seriously doubt your higher institution certificate’.
