TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by mclarry(m): 10:48pm On Oct 17, 2016
Greetings to all, a great job well done by seniors and other who contribute to making our pathways to dreams turn into realities.

I need an advise pls(prior to vetasses):

1. I have a BSc in accounting(4yr course) - not in a relevant field and equivalent to (AQF) Diploma
2. I have 10 years post qualification experience in facilities management.

Will it be worthwhile(towards a positive outcome) to apply for migration assessment as a facilities manager?

Your candid feedback will help my decision as one has to be careful not to waste time and resources. I am starting now to plan for next year.

Many thanks in anticipation.

AgricultureRe: About Your Garri Processing Factory. by mclarry(m): 9:21am On Apr 23, 2016
Hi OP, this was the thread that led to doing business with you. With phone calls, sms and emails, I got a timely factory sketch and a week after, a cost estimate.

I will still be in contact as I progress. I need all the assistance and info as a startup.

Keep up the professional work!
AgricultureRe: Frequently Asked Question About The Garri Processing Plant by mclarry(m): 9:17am On Apr 23, 2016
SLIDEwaxie, you did a great job! The sketch for the garri factory came just in time[within 2 days]. Your response time to calls, emails and other enquiries is commendable. You are professional, keep it up.

I found the "be your own manager" very comprehensive and will be useful especially for startup entrepreneurs.

Finally, I'm looking at the factory building estimate you sent and will contact on need basis as I progress.

Cheers!

Hi all. What is the unique test result reference number for PTE, is it the test taker ID or the registration ID?

Thanks for your earliest response.

Thanks a lot Bellong!

You don't need a resume certified. You don't even need any documents certified if you are uploading the original.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by mclarry(m): 11:38am On Aug 16, 2015
Hi everyone, for those who got assessed by vetassess, was it required to have your resume certified? Have been a bit confused about where exactly stated on their website.

Thanks!

I was not quoting you, neither was I the one in need of info at the time. Anyways, you sound guilty. "u either get an agent or forget it." one of ur usual rude lines. No one here knows everything. We are here to share!
ferdimako:
Everything u need is on this thread and online. If u don't want to dig them out as nobody wants to do it for u...u either get an agent or forget it. U can't force pple to help u. Can u?
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by mclarry(m): 7:23pm On Jul 28, 2015
Of late I have come to recognize your efforts in gaining knowledge and helping others. You always find a way to give answers(and not referrals) to the best of your ability. If you continue in this spirit, who knows, you may become the Bossgentlemaneric!
erictack203:
Hi,

So you should know, Schools try to frustrate efforts of self Oshc arrangements, ppl should avoid it, even if you will get it cheaper, try to patronise your School, insurance Company gives the University extra 700dollars for bringing a Students' Oshc, if you arrange yourself, they gets only the tuition deposit, remember they are out to make profit in their Business.

Discuss this with your School and have them correct the error, if not you and Pretoria go wear one trouser. Call your School and sort it out with them, they may have to send you a revised CoE.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by mclarry(m): 7:18pm On Jul 28, 2015
I disagree with you. The effort of your response is enough to answer the query or inquiry. I have observed same here too. It is selfish to always and quickly refer one to google for answers. If google truly had the answers, then there would be no need for forums. We all are here to help, share and learn from various experiences. We should strive to give direct answers to queries as they come, else we may remain silent and give those who are willing a chance.
bellong:
Bro, this is a childish rant. The fact that something is done somewhere does not mean it will be done in another place. The energy with which you typed this is more than enough to use Google search to resolve your question. Never noticed your initial question though, would have given you a generic response which is below.

Start from reading this site, you get all the info needed there... http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil

Have u heard of the saying "if e easy na set up"? reading thru this thread u should have seen how pple look for ways to get legit visas, find suburbs where accommodation can be cheaper or even shared accommodation as in most cases with students. The next on the line will be looking for a job, those with family look out for govt. assistance in any form they may be eligible. So open ur eyes... Australia is an EXPENSIVE country even for the British and Americans! If ur (so called) agent has a legit job for u, checking the CSOL of Australian states if that job is on it and u getting all required docs for it would be next. Then u will be looking forward to applying for a state nomination visa 190. Ultimately, u wouldn't need an agent if u had the patience to read thru this thread and ask questions where necessary. Victims of scammers are always those who look for short cuts or fast lanes to MONEY!

Congrats on the double! My advise.... Go for Australia for reasons not far from those given earlier. If comparing with another country, then Canada would beat that. If you can look beyond the sentiments of family and friends of Canada which really is not a yardstick for a successful life abroad. See the opportunities and possibilities for you and your immediate family as 1st priority. It won't be a bad idea if you become the 1st and only Australian contact for your immediate/extended family. That will spread the connections and options broader for your folks. This time, friends and family will gravitate to you and not the other way round.

All the same, God has blessed you and yours... Australia will spread it further and wider!!!
gogochocolate:
Femidako, you dey funny, it was still too early then to comment when i was not so sure then . I actually wanted Canada at first based on the fact that it was more popular for Nigerians and family ties. I had started Canada PR journey before Australia but as you may well know their process was very very slow spanning for years until they improved it this year this year. My plan was to move to Australia and stay till maybe three of four more years to determine if i really wanted to continue with the Canadian immigration. I had zeroed my mind that if i settled in Australia then the Canadian Dream ends forever. However, it looked like once i got the grant mail from Australia the Canadians began to process mine faster. I was shocked when i went for medicals for Canada and realized that their medical platform runs on Australia Emedical Platform. The point is i that they share data and Canada is always looking up to Australia to improve its immigration process.

Thanks so much Surveyor it has not been an easy one having Both PR come together at the same time.

Welcome back BossladyMo! You are one of our MVPs on this thread... Keep up the good work.

bossladymo1:
I derive pleasure from helping people. It's just the way I am, the way I am programmed. I am not some sadistic psycopath who derives pleasure from online attention. I am of the opinion that no one should be left in Nigeria, if they have the chance to gain a better life abroad....especially people with kids. Looking at my kids, I know that even if something happens and we can't afford to pay for their education...they have a government and systems in place to enable them continue their education as much as they can. So if I can help anyone else in any way I can, why not? I don't answer questions to show off. I say what I know. I was once a novice also. I remember my very first post on this thread. But I took my time to research thoroughly...like I said, I was not willing to spend a huge chunk of money on a process I knew nothing about.

So for someone to come and say there is more to me 'online niceness'....hmmm.....

I will let it die there.

Thanks to everyone who came to my defence.

Upload original docs, as long as they are coloured...no need to certify. Also upload your university transcripts alongside your certificate.

If you get everything done and submitted, you can expect your visas by late June to mid July.

Bossladymo, very comprehensive info from you. Shows not just how vast ur knowledge is about the subject matter but also communication and distribution. Keep up the good work and keep amassing blessings from God.

dexterinc2003:
Well detailed explanation!

Seems your case looks familiar,it all depends on your plans,how early do you want to move as masters program in aus resumes twice a year (march/july),which school you want,what is your financial status,the rest should be a piece of cake.
Let me just list the steps,since im assuming you are a busy person.
1.register with an agent that can help you with admission (pfl,bcie etc),many ppl dont like the fact that they have to pay,but i think its worth it.a school under svp MUST be chosen.
2.once you get the admission,pay part of ur tuition fees to get a CoE.
3.once your CoE is out,do your medicals ,notarise your documents,get immunised ,pay for your health cover (for you and your wife)and go apply for the visa...573svp.
4 wait till visa is granted....book tickets and travel with your wife,depending on what you filled on your visa forms.
5.dont forget to use IOM for your travel ticket booking.
6.share your story on this forum

KEY
CoE =confirmation of enrollment
Svp =streamlined visa processing
IOM =International organisation for migration
PFL =preparation for life
BCIE =check google....lol
