A40: This your present Barcelona without Xavi might not necessarily play tiki-taka next season so with Pedro's form going south (has been that way for 2 years now) and Sanchez's going north selling Sanchez just doesn't make sense from my viewpoint. A Messi-Suarez-Sanchez-Neymar lineup would have been quite brutal

Barcelona lives and breathes tiki-taka. No coach or player can change that; a slight modification can be tolerated but only for a short while. The fans and Catalan press would come at any single or collective individuals who does a redundancy on the status quo. That Xavi is out doesn't stop the flow of the game, someone else, another La Masia product who breathes tiki taka would take over from where he stopped, albeit with his own unique style. The teams stranglehold has always been in the middle, which is where the rhythm of each game is interpreted.

I have always maintained that, tiki taka is not the problem with Barca, but the players playing the tiki taka at the moment. Busquets in my opinion is a natural successor to Xavi. I've always said that! He may have been a shadow of himself this past season, but his importance to the club is second to none. I hope to see him sit tight in CMF while Mascherano/Song slug it out in the holding role.

As for Sanchez, dude can't be any better than he's been. He will always live under the shadow/influence of Messi. How else can one explain his goal scoring form when Messi was out injured and with Messi back in the team. 98% of his goals came with Messi away. With Messi back, his goal attempts were almost non-existent. What does that tell you? After 3 on/off seasons, there is little more to expect from him. He's a great though, but Barca is not his berth. We can only cash in on him. Suarez is far superior plus other young lads have to come through. And Pedro; he may not be as skillful, but aside Messi, no Barca player of the past seasons converts goal opportunities like him. Check the stats; they don't lie.

I read on Barcastuff that Tello might be sold to Roma in the coming days. That's good news for me. We better sell those guys with decent buy back clause- Cuenca, Afellay, Sergi Roberto et al
