Lols... Guess this things work differently. A loyal Moses Simon or a stubborn/disloyal Vinicius Junior. Both are left wingers and in their prime age
AirBere:
Competence is even more expensive. If you're a football enthusiast, who would you rather in your team.

Reason is: loyalty is very rare and expensive.

Well, I don't reside in Ekiti, but I visit the state frequently for short trips, just like I do with many other states in Nigeria (and that is the basis for my comparison). There is the pervious thread on NL that compared each states vat vs allocations too.
EvilMerodack:
Relocate to places where things arent expensive

You are an adult. You should be bold enough to leave places you arent comfortable staying

RomanceRe: Since I Bought A Car, I Find It Hard Dating A Man Without Car:Nigerian Lady Says by McLizbae:
In my days, I can't just run after a complete stranger too. If I have seen and admired a lady in my territory, I must take sometime to actually know her from afar as much as possible before proceeding to even make her feel am interested in her. I don't believe in love at first sight too.

However nowadays, where it is normal to engage a complete stranger, if she packaged herself to clearly give me a perception that she outclass me, fine, I will rather move even farther from her. Na those types go dey dangerous pass!
njelrapheal:
how would you know a lady that outclasses you without engaging them in a convo. Or are you referring to perception and packaging?

RomanceRe: Since I Bought A Car, I Find It Hard Dating A Man Without Car:Nigerian Lady Says by McLizbae:
I don't think that is abnormal or the lady is abnormal. As a man, one of the fine ways to provide a necessary comfort to your lady is to drive her in your car if you have one. But siting beside her when she drives you in her own car is somehow not dignifying. It is like living with her in the house she rented/built. Just not dignifying for a natural African man.

I think it's okay for a woman to potentially dignity her future man by setting standards, and setting them at her level or above hers.

advanceDNA:
so what will happen after marriage and the guy loses his job and doesn't have a car anymore....?? She should leave again naaa....and go marry her standard..... Y'all just base standard on temporary superficial nonsens£... that's why marriages don't last more than 2 minutes these days
At least there will be a record of good times for the guy with a car that turn broke in marriage and lose his car. What if the guy that is not successful enough to buy a car for himself when single, never become successful enough to buy one even in the marriage also?

A single lady that grinds and get herself a car because she feels it is a necessity or desired luxury, should never be advised or coerce to date or marry a guy that is lower than that class, else the marriage will also not last.

For guys mentioning and asking about men setting same standards: Yes! Various men do set their own standards! It is just unfortunate that the standards that most men set do not go beyond body shapes and sizes. Some men even set financial/career standards for their women to remain below theirs, to sustain their lordship, security, and leadership. There have been stories of men who made remarkable moves to make sure that there women never gets to financial/career levels that are higher than theirs. All these happen here in our typical society, and here we are being all hypocritical.

Men should also set high and reasonable standards for their type of ladies! The result will be great for our society, as our ladies will be more focused on doing something productive to attract men, and not just investing on boobs, bums, makeups, and artificial hairs.

Seriously, I don't know how guys beat it and walk up to a girl that obviously outclass them, for chyking. I was never fit for such. Always in my class.

FamilyRe: Nigerian Women Are The Very Best For Mankind by McLizbae(op):
Poverty being the reason for unstable relationship and irresponsibility growth in the society, is just a plausible idea.
On a larger scale, I believe the issue is a culture that is being incorporated by wild exposure and wokeness. This issue is not strapped to any class of people in Nigeria (as it is all over the world), and it is not uncommon among both the elite and the less privileged society. I can even augue that this issue is rising with the misuse of the freedom of rights and models of privileges.
IbeOkehie:
Of course that's true but more important is TRENDS. Anyone 40 to 50 years old can tell that the mating market has deteriorated badly in the last 10 years or so.

In Nigeria the major reason is the increasing levels of POVERTY and the DESPERATION to avoid falling into and remaining in poverty.

In the US & UK it's the increasingly SOCIALIST policies that have destroyed the family. For example in the UK, 33% of children in the sub-Saharan, Black African community are born to single unmarried mothers. In 1950 over 75% of Black American children were born/living with two married parents, today less than 25% are in that structure.

Nigerians in particular are so hard hit that EVERY RELATIONSHIP in life....with siblings, career, business, marriage, religion, social clubs politics....EVERYTHING is now about how to leverage that relationship to extract free MONEY. I'll cite this as an example - in the USA today, it's common for Nigerians to form Committee of Friends to support funerals and related expenses for bereaved persons. Most of the time the money becomes the subject of controversy and fraud. Same thing with money contributed by Nigeria alumni associations.

The primary mode of existence for Black Africans since Contact with Europeans/Arabs has been xeno-parasitism coupled to an unceasing DECEPTION & EXPLOITATION of their fellow Black Africans, taking without providing anything in return. That's what the Slave Trade was all about.

It's not about marital relationships, it's about EVERYTHING, everything in Nigeria has been poisoned by the desperation of poverty.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Having 7 kids is not an ideal thing to do especially a man like you that's still struggling. You should stop breeding like rodent!

As regards the girl that's pregnant, send her back to her parents and let them take care of her. She's not your responsibility.

Foreign AffairsRe: Iran Will Never Be Allowed To Have A Nuclear Weapon - G7 Leaders by McLizbae:
You still don't get it. Iran cannot be a threat to any world powers or their allies. Just like Iraq and Libya, Iran can also join in the countries with unending internal crisis If they so wish. But breeding international terrorist groups and keeping weapon of mass distrustion will never be allowed.

When the world powers are done with Iran (spear-headed by Israel), next will be Pakistan (spare-headed by india).

As for Nigeria, we are not ready for anything serious yet.
madridguy:
You guys cannot contribute to international events objectively rather than being emotional.
So are you saying there's no peace in Iran right now? Try and emancipate yourself from mental slavery...

The same card was played with Saddam Husseini of Iraq, has Iraq been peaceful since Saddam was killed? If you're still a baby during Saddam era are you also a kid in 2011 when Ghaddaffi was killed with same excuse?

Ever since the fall of Ghadaffi Nigeria and other countries in Sahel region have never sleep with our two eyes closed.

Or you think whatever that happens there won't reach here? You go learn with time.
