knight4cent: I submitted my application for student visa 9th of may 2017 ,and I received a message yesterday which says. Dear applicant I have reviewed your application and document which you submitted in its support. I have a concern that you have not fufilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the immigration and refugee protection act. On the current application form, you indicate that you have never been refused any kind of visa, admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country.According to information in our records, you were refused a visa to the united state in 2015. I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information, I will afford you 15days from the date of this letter to make any representation in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence and clearly indicate your file number.if you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above ,your application will be addressed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal. My nairalanders honestly I was refused USA visa in 2015 ,but it seems I mistakenly tick no when filling the form. Pls what do you guys think of my chance of getting this visa based on this message.am so scared.pls I need ur opinion. Everybody dey claim mistake upandan. I don't think it's a mistake. These applications are filled with extreme care so I don't know how a detail as glaring as that would be a mistake. But, it's my own opinion though. |

GermanDreamer: This why this Canada thread moves faster like speed of light than every other thread on Nairaland, irrelevant topics that derail the pages and constant repeated questions. Nawa oo!!! you log-in everyday to virtually see same question everyday in different pages, garbage arguments and at the end nothing insightful to assimilate thus skimming through the pages. Ehhhh! Awon Anger Brokers! |

I have been on this thread for a while now and from my studies on all the approved and unapproved profiles, I have come to the conclusion that there is not actually hard-rule on how to apply for a study visa. Some people with the best of profiles have been rejected while some with weak profiles were approved. When you do the necessary things you are expected to do and submit your application, you just wait and pray to God. Some people may call it Luck but I call it Grace. So. lets just be praying that it turns out well for all of us! . Eat Sha Hen Hin Plaise! |

likeababygirl: Actually you still need a jacket. Not necessarily the very thick ones sha. This is needed especially if you have never been to a country with a colder temperatures. Weather is still around 15-25 degrees which is cold for a typical Nigerian. So a light jacket will do for now. Great. Thank you for your apt contribution. So, I'd definitely have to get at least a jacket before going? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by McOsheBaba(m): 9:31am On Jul 26, 2017 |
Yomalicious: If you are travelling this summer no need to buy from here. In Canada you can get really cheap jackets and warmers at outlet malls. Most times what they regard as thick here is a serious learner when you experience winter in canny.
My opinion doe Oh! Thank you plenty much, my dear! I don't want to carry plenty load on that day but I want to spend less. So, clothes are relatively cheaper in Canada then? |

While I await approval, I want to ask this question. The clothes to wear in Canada, would it be better to buy the clothes here in Nigeria or over there in Canada? Cost-wise and Convenience-Wise? |

I feel it's inappropriate. If you want someone to do your house chores, you should employ someone, if you want a companion, have a friend. There are sites for posting rent ads not here. Please. It is inappropriate to you but not to everyone. There are a ton of people who would be dying to get such opportunity. No everyone has a Silver Spoon in their mouth. The man is offering to indirectly pay about $250 for the house chore services. If you aren't interested, just ignore. |

My children drink Ribena on daily basis at school. I asked my wife two days ago about the health implication, she couldn't give any meaningful answer. I suggested we package fruits like Apple, banana, pineapple, but she said No. Well, na God hand my kids dey shaa. She said NO and you accepted just like that.
