Hi Guys,

It is pertinent to note that neither the questions nor the length of the interview but the answers that determines the success mail.

The reason for sharing was to leave the proverbial footprints on the sand for future applicants to see. I do not mean to stir uneasiness or fear in anybody.

That said, some applicants were invited for second interview some years back. I don't know if that's still the norm.

I have been eating, drinking and dreaming PwC for two days now and I wonder how them April 10 folks have been hanging on. Looking forward to another recruitment to keep me busy pending our mails by July.

Happy Sunday

I wish I had 5 questions like you guys.

The plenty questions might be me fucking up and them giving me chances to redeem myself.

Remember we all had different panels, the July mail will determine how convincing we were.

Bro, how did you survive this?

Bro, I'm seriously looking for that dude that said we only use 10% of our brains.

I was using every available grey matter. At the tail end of the interview, my efficiency reduced. I had a splitting headache thereadter

I also remember being asked

Tell me about a time you solved a problem using unconventional methods
Tell me about a time you got bad feedback and how you handled it
Have you applied to any other firms and how far have you gone (I mentioned all the ones I had applied for)
What will you do if your manager told you relay a very bad news to your client? I said I would, then asked how will I approach such a task.

See you guys in July. Time to recline to my sober place.

Check your email bro

Tell me a time you led a group were members had conflicting values.

Tell me a time you were in a group add you made an impact, what was the impact and how did it affect the group?

Tell me a time your integrity was tested

Tell me a time you did something against your will

Tell me a time you had to handle complex data

Tell me a time you were stuck and you had to ask for help. How did you go about it?

Tell me a time you were in a project and you needed to contact somebody superior?

As a leader, how have you developed yourself in the past one year.

You have a lot of strengths, what's your biggest strength?

What's your biggest achievement?

Tell me a time you asked for help and the person refused. How did you conclude the project?

How will you describe your work philosophy?

How has Engineering prepared you for PwC?

Why accounting?

What if Chevron comes calling?

I'll add more as soon as I remember them.

Wish you guys the best, this waiting period is more tasking than the preparation period. Personally, I had more confidence after the OPQ than this.

I need that ocean view office in my life.

Larochelle, mayor15, oversight, r4blessing,candyy and others. Please let's come and make this thread useful for the next set.

Like Chima and Eljay, I also had my interview yesterday.

It was a wrong day to have a bad morning, thus I got to Landmark 8am even when I woke up before 5.30.

Group Interview was lit, was in the same group with MsrChyma, r4blessing and some other monikas I can't remember and we were able to carry everybody along and made sure everybody made at least a point. Most importantly, we stuck to time. Chima presented for us and we spent 13mins for deliberation and presentation.

I was last to be interviewed, it was the most intense period I have had in a long time. At a point, I was wondering if I was coming in for an experienced position. That said, I was asked a lot, emphasis on a lot of behavioural questions.

We went back and forth, high school, university, service year, high school, final year project.

At the tail end, I was tired and couldn't give astute replies in my own point of view. My last question was, Why should I hire you? So I did a lot to redeem my last 3 replies.

In all, it was an interesting experience. Developed serious headache immediately Madam Toyin walked me out.

They deliberate on If you are to be hired for about 30 mins after your panel so I have no idea why people have been tight-lipped about their interview.

Wish everybody the best, I'll grade my interview a 6/10, I hope for the best.

Sharing interview questions do not make or Mar your chances. It is surprising how hoarding has become the norm, the only time you can get useful info is when you go back 3 or 4 years.

Moreso, knowing the questions for an interview doesn't translate to success.

Wish you guys the best

The truth is, you can only get the best if you give every candidate a fair chance to prove just how valuable they can be.

This is life, it isn't fair.

Multinationals and the Big4 coys in particular are looking for candidates; who are good time managers, can multi task, organised to mention but a few.

Having 70% of your CGPA doesn't mean you are more intelligent than people who weren't able to meet that mark, it just means you have exhibited such skills at one time or the other during the course of your study.

That said, let me pitch my tent here. EY nigerias aptitude test for the past 4 years has been filled with different irregularities. Let's hope this year's own is error free.

Regret mail received. Just a tip for the next batch; I selected that I don't like being in the company of people aka introverted and I'm not all that organised and I'm not a conformist ie I don't change myself to suit an environment. I guess that's where the problem was for mine. For those heading to the interview, I wish you well. Perhaps I was destined to be an old professor grin grin

I chose i love being with people, i like to lead, i love statistics always no matter how good the other options were, I also chose not being organised and not being able to change as least so many times and i have not gotten any mail yet.

There is no solution to that OPQ, i guess being consistent is the key no matter what the options are.

See you at the top bro dear, Who knows we might have to go through you to audit your firm in the future.
