I will try to answer your questions to the best of my knowledge. The money market is skewed toward treasury bills at the moment. Less investments in commercial papers and BAs. The Treasury bills market is sub divided into the primary and secondary market and the commercial banks have successfully monopolised the primary markets hence you cannot buy directly from the government hence you can only get bills in the secondary market from commercial banks at their stated rates.

These rate as at today stands between 7.5- 10% depending on the tenor but before you commit into bills you might want to consider time value of money and hence the current inflation rates. The only solace in bills now IMO is the fact that it is a risk free assets and you are sure you will get your principal and interest as at when due. It is also very marketable and very realizable hence you can pre liquidate.

For lending, Banks generally have a Prime lending rate that is determined by NIBOR but that is for their best customers, they then place customers into risk buckets and add extra percentages depending on the risk level. So rates are not fixed except it is a cbn intervention fund.

Hello Guys,

Induction was fun. I felt like a stranger tho, I didn't see any familiar face, I was lumped with people who completed their process 3 - 6 weeks ago.

More so, I made enquiries for the lot of you guys and spoke to two HR personnel. One said there would be another Induction while the other wasn't ready to release privy information.

That said, I made my own deductions from what I could gather today. A typical training school consists of 13 classes (30 per class) and since we were 210 today (150 Nigerians + 60 Internationals) we can only fill 7 classes. It is safe to say that to maximise the training school funds, 6 more classes would be needed.

So Guys, do not fret. I hope to see those lovely faces come next week.

Your training bond surety can be anybody even a madman, so far he can provide a 6 month statement with a 2m closing balance and can shave clean for a passport photograph.

Your bond of fidelity sureties on the other hand need not have 2 million, they just have to be either:
(i) a Level 16 civil servant or higher OR
(ii) a Manager of a financial institution, blue chip company or bank.

I believe I took out time to explain my experience of the business games and even went further to state that a successful candidate's experience in 2015 or so, was similar to mine and the other 63 people. It is certain you didn't get the point of posting a glassdoor remark; as this was to further reiterate that the business games format, is still the same. Also, as people are really reluctant to release information, you could bank on the information there, which is applicable to Nigeria's BG type.

Again, if you missed my previous post, I stated that you had to alter two or three parameters to improve profitability, i-social and market share. It was only a competition between teams and not competition between team members within their respective groups.

Simple strategy was to study the trend and do some price sensitivity or elasticity evaluation, drawing up correlation dynamics between different parameters and finding an equilibrium point.

Strongest team members were moved around.

Food was great, buffet meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Hotel room was comfy, the hotel bar had good beer variety. Our assessors even covered a two-hour drinking session for us, at the end.
