Better go and hire a company instead of finding the impossible on Nairaland. |

Go for it. You have better chance coming from a STEM background. You might need to enroll in a proper training school to get hands-on training in networking. I have been a developer for a while. Now am looking into DevOps and Cybersecurity. Completed Ethical hacker course and currently going through CompTIA Security+ training. Hope to get an internship after the certification exam but have not made up my mind when to sit for it. Cheers. |
Good job bro! ![]() |
And sadly you have a Zero-day vulnerability in your project. Where do you guys learn your coding from? No regard for secure coding practices at all. Sigh*

You mean you aspire to be a cracker? A criminal? Good luck with that. |
I don't think you have the finances, training and experience to set up a web business. Don 't waste money you do not have. Intensify your job search or get new skills that will better your chances. |
How is this a technology topic? |
As a Security engineer working for a company, stay within your job description or project scope/ boundaries. Know that if you create a tool, it could be used for any purpose. Let good reason guide you. There are already more than enough free tools to do most pentest tasks. As a researcher, know which lines to cross and not to. Look around you and learn from others experience. |
Thats great am also studying for Sec+ too. Lets rub minds. hank.mcqwerty007@gmail.com |

Michael390:You have no business selling website design. You need to get professional training and grow your skills with practice. No one will pay you 2k to set up this sample site you have up here. |
jasogbe:You do not need a website yet to sell your business online. You need a marketing plan. Without a plan/guide, you will end up building a beautiful site to show off and no sales. Do not waste your money. Most businesses have done this and shut down these websites after a year because they did not seek business advice. Call me if you need a marketing plan. Cheers. ![]() |
Michael390:Can I see your own website? |
Social is the new trend. |

Use it to buy a link ![]() |
Raalsalghul:I would not really say that. Data science is still fresh. Someone said we do not do Data science in Nigeria, at least not in the real sense of it. We do data analysis instead. I think you might have a shot at data analysis as a career. Data is being generated every second by every move we make online and offline. We will need people to analyze them and make sense of them to make decisions. |
Yeah, we don't really trust folks that are selling something after a 2-day old account. Pls contribute to the platform first and let's see what you know about web design. |
Let's not derail the thread. Programmers can still make a decent income in this country. Be prepared to do the hard work for the first five years of beginning your career to get ahead. There are so many technologies and frameworks required by programmers including DevOps, software testing, and machine learning experience. Calm down and start from the basics. Hop on any MOOCs others like LinkedIn learning, Edx, Alison, etc, and get a few diploma courses done. Build a few portfolio projects, then seek an internship or free volunteer work. Your project portfolio will get you hired mostly. There is money in programming but passion always comes first and the desire to help people or solve a problem. Putting money before anything will get you confused. Remember that knowledge, skills, and experience leads to success and money that you are looking for. As a programmer, 1. You can get a full-time/or part-time job/Contract/remote work. Some smart guys combine two jobs, the other being remote but would not advise you do that as a beginner 2. Work as a freelancer (e.g Upwork, freelancer, Nairaland) 3. Build software products to sell to companies 4. Sell your completed projects on open market software platforms like codecanyon. 5. You can setup your own software development /IT consulting in future 6. Start a One-man Website design agency. 7. Build the next Facebook, IG or Twitter, even Nairaland. ![]() Cheers. |
Kraik:You remind me of that weird guy from the bible scriptures. What's his name again? Yeah, John the Baptist. Please stop this already. |
You can use Excel ![]() |
Op, you are not ready for this- trust me. |
DriggityDre:You can go to the farm and not have the cutlass and hoe at least, you can use your hands to make ridges and pull out weeds from the ground. That does not make you very efficient and very productive. A career farmer would look at you and think you are not okay. Programming is not something you learn on your tiny device. I can assume the cost of your device could assemble a cloned PC or Used Low-end laptop in Ikeja Computer Village. My advice is, if you are serious: Get a PC. Go for programming classes. Practice. Practice. Practice. And programming is more than websites and blogs. That's web programming. |
Why would you want to learn programming on your phone? |
