Career / What's The Worst Job You Had As A Student? – Open Thread by mcvize(m): 6:36pm On Sep 04, 2014
it's a tough time to look for work, so it's hard to be too fussy as a student. Any opportunity to earn is one to be grabbed with both hands. my lil sister was once required to choreograph a dance routine as part of an interview for a bar job – and the job turned out to be awful too.

What's the worst job you've ever done? Do you have an unusual story of earning money as a broke student? How about part-time work that seemed great on paper but ended up being far from it? Or was there a job you thought you'd hate that actually turned out to be much better than expected? Share you experiences in the comments section below.as we help provide more tips on our signature below
Romance / 'I Had A Huge Crush On Genevieve, I Never Dated Rita Dominic' - Banky W>>> by mcvize(m): 11:20am On Sep 01, 2014
Banky admitted that he had a huge on Genevieve and tried to pursue her but it didn't work out,

"I tried but Genevieve is Genevieve. I had a big crush on her at one point but now we are really cool friends" he said

Banky also revealed he had a huge crush on singer Niyola when he first came back to Nigeria to pursue his music career but didn't go after her because she was in an on/off relationship and when she became single, he'd already signed her to his record label and had assumed a big brother role in her life. The crush died he said.

Asked if he is under any pressure to get married, Banky W said;

"I think that there is a certain pressure that society brings and probably even more so the Nigerian society. So like your parents, once you graduate they start asking when you are going to get married so you can get me grand children...so its just the mentality but I think its probably an unhealthy obsession with weddings and probably not as great an obsession with healthy marriages and for me its like who you get married to or when you get married is one of the major decisions that you can make. So its wiser that you do it when you are sure that you are ready and you have found the person that you want to do it with and so on and so forth rather than succumb to whatever pressure or whatever it is because nobody is going to live that life with you. Nobody is going to wake up with the person for the rest of your life. So I dont believe in that and I think my parents know me well enough to not....they know I don't respond to such things. So do I look forward to getting married? Absolutely but when the person and the time is right. I have friend who I went to school with who got married and are now divorced and I don't want that to be my story so I would rather wait, find the person, make myself right, make the person right and so on and so forth and do it right one time rather than try and fail and be married for 72 days" he said

Banky W revealed that he will be taking 2 and a half months off the music scene to pursue a course in directing/film-making in New York in September. get more by LIKING US HERE /1nkcxYt

Business / Have You Tried This Simple Business Technique As Student Yet? by mcvize(m): 6:57pm On Aug 31, 2014
Just another calm day with a normal weather due to the fact that it has been raining all morning which makes the rest of the day cool.

I find myself relaxing and thinking of the mighty gadget my friend posses/ own while as a student in campus and I often here him complain ”my pocket dry die ” hmm, well Sam you have to find a way out. After sometimes I find myself whispering silently! Now am smiling?
Anxious? You want to know what happened next.

A lot of student in campus today I tell you possess or own the best trending mobile phone, laptops, iPod etc please don’t hate me now am not against owning expensive gadget. But if your thinking towards my direction you will probably guest the next step we took with my little friend (name withheld) I practically head this gadget cry out loud “put us to work” did I here you add “we are tired of been used for browsing and charting purpose alone”? Not the voice but only in my sub conscious. So what was the first thing simple, I screw through his social media I found out that he is on almighty face book. Twitter, inter-gram and he seems to have quite numbers of followers, interaction this is potential market I thought (yupee).

Secondly I saw a large crowed in his department and others in the campus and we realized so many students are in need of typing the go as far as mini market or outside the campus to get their typing job done despite that they get it on the high price of N120 per page shoo-ow? We went ahead to tap into this market hunt from class to class collecting their seminars and other type of print out assignment we proceed to do it and delivered in time after few weeks my friend was able to buy modern and printer. With his dell he now run mini business center in his room.

This is the analysis he gave me one day when I ask

5 project including assignment per week with the

Average of 250 page=70*25=17500

You can multiply it by 4 which is the number of weeks in a month you can do rest of the math’s yourself.

Education / Student’s Tips To Saving Money On Campus by mcvize(m): 8:21pm On Jul 29, 2014
Contact your roommate now
Many of you have probably already done this. If you haven’t, find
your roommate on Facebook now. Drop that person a friend request.
What you’ll want to find out from that person is what shareable
items to bring. Items like a television, a microwave, and a
mini-fridge are items that you can share in a dorm room without
any real problems. Plus, doing so will save one (or both) of you
some cash if you don’t already have the items. If you do, now’s
your chance to return the item.
Start looking into campus organizations, particularly
those related to your major and interests
I would strive to make a list of at least five organizations that you
might be interested in joining. Most organizations on campus
will have meetings or some sort of activity during the first week or
so of classes, which will give you an opportunity to find out more about them.
If I were doing this again, I’d make a list of ten of them and try to
stick with at least five of them.
Why do this? There are several reasons why campus organizations
not only help you to save money, but can help you to earn money
over the long run.
For starters, it gives you a great chance to meet and hang out with
other people who are genuinely into the same things you are. If the
topic of the group interests you, then you know that other people in
the group are going to be interested, too, making it easy to get to know them.
Second, they’re great resume boosters, particularly if you get involved
in leadership in the club. I am firmly convinced that my participation
in and leadership in a couple of organizations late in my college
career helped me to get my first post-college job.
Third, they’re often huge money savers for poor students, as most
clubs have a budget of some kind that’s often used on food. Many
organizations have movie nights and other gatherings where the
club’s budget pays for a meal.
The more organizations you try out, the more free meals you’ll
get and the more likely you are to find organizations that really click with you.
Find a job connected to your major and shine with it
If you’re serious about really making your mark on campus, try to find
a job connected with the academic department of your major. These jobs
typically pay minimum wage or sometimes less (if they’re work study jobs),
but they offer a great chance to interact with professors and other professionals
in your department. That’s where the value is.
If you can get such a job, use it as much as you can to help out professors and
others in your department. Look for every chance to interact with and serve in
a positive way. Some won’t notice, but quite a few will.
I did this myself and it led to a sequence of jobs that not only put cash in my
pocket, they also resulted in a lot of free meals, a free computer, at least
two free textbooks, and a very nice resume.
Stay in
It’s tempting to want to go out, but every time you set foot in a business
establishment, you’re pretty much begging to spend money. You’re far
better off hanging out at someone’s dorm room or apartment.
Instead of eating out, make your own simple meals or make meals together
with friends. If you simply must order food, even that’s usually cheaper
than going to a restaurant.
If you’re going to drink, it’s far cheaper (and less likely to end disastrously)
if you’re drinking in someone’s apartment rather than out and about.
You’re in a relatively safer environment and it’s far less expensive.
The things you can do while staying in are far cheaper, too, and they’re
still quite fun. Have a movie night. Turn on some music. Play a board
game or a video game. If you can’t come up with something to do that’s
fun, you’re not trying very hard.
campus is perhaps the best time in your life to figure out who you
are and what you want to be doing. That process doesn’t have to
involve spending money – in fact, outside of the tuition and other
direct fees, most aspects of college make it as easy as possible to do
that self-discovery without spending cash. Take advantage of it.

14 Things You Need To Teach Your Child(ren) At Early Stage.

1. Warn your girl child NEVER to sit on anyone's lap no matter the situation including Uncles.
2. Avoid getting dressed infront of your child once he/she is 2years old. Learn to excuse them or yourself.
3. Never allow any adult refer to your child as 'my wife' or 'my husband'.
4. Whenever your child goes out to play with friends, make sure you look for a way to find out what kind of play they do,because young people now sexually abuse themselves.
5. Never force your child to visit any adult he/she is not comfortable with, and also be observant when your child is too fond of a particular adult.
6. Once a very lively child suddenly becomes withdrawn, you may need to patiently ask alot of questions from your child.
7. Carefully educate your grown ups about the right value of sex if you don't want the society to teach them the wrong values.
8. It is always advisable that you go through any new materials like cartoon you just bought for them before they start seeing it themselves.
9. Ensure you activate parental controls on your cable networks and advice your friends to do likewise before your child(ren) visit them.
10. Teach your 3 years old how to wash their private part properly and warn them never to allow anyone touch those areas and that includes you!
11. Blacklists some materials/associates you think could threaten the sanity of your child(this includes movies, monies and even friends and families).
12. Let your child understands the value of standing out of the crowd.
13. Once your child complains about a particular person, don't keep quiet about it.
14. Watch your child(ren) when they are about to sleep or sleeping to

check whether they are playing with their private part or not. STOP them from doing this,it may encourage self-service.

Romance / Seven Common Relationship Mistakes And How To Avoid Them! by mcvize(m): 1:31pm On Jul 04, 2014
<<<7 Common Relationship Mistakes And How To Avoid Them!>>>

Navigating relationships can sometimes seem like walking through a battlefield. You try to make it through safely, but often run the risk of stepping on a landmine that could cause significant damage – to both yourself and your partner. So, consider the following possible relationship mistakes and some thoughts on how to avoid them.
Ads by Media WatchAd Options

1. Never Rely on Your Partner to “Complete” You

The number one mistake people make in relationships is losing their identity. Without two separate “I’s,” there can be no “we.” A strong, well-developed identity in both parties is a key component to a secure relationship.

2. Don’t Discuss Your “Skeletons” Too Soon

The first few months of relationships are crucial; this is the time you are establishing a firm foundation for the partnership to thrive. You don’t want to make the mistake of prematurely revealing deeply personal information. That level of intimacy should be saved for when the “we” is more securely rooted.

3. Don’t Focus Too Heavily on the Negatives

Not everything your partner says or does will sit well with you. The key to maintaining a happy, healthy relationship is not harping on those shortcomings. See your partner as a whole person, recognizing the things you find endearing, as well as the things you see as negative.

4. Never Assume the Worst

Moments will arise when your judgment about your partner will be put to the test. Don’t be too quick to jump to conclusions. Like you, your partner is imperfect and deserves the benefit of the doubt.

5. Don’t Rain on Your Partner’s Parade

It is impossible for your “I” and your partner’s “I” to be perfectly compatible all the time. You may not like some of the differences in attitudes and interests that exist between you and your partner. Keep in mind, however, that a stable partnership is based on each person’s ability to be supportive of those differences, even when it takes them out of their comfort zone.

6. Remember to Communicate

Silence is not always safe. Don’t assume you and your partner see things in the same way, or that your partner can read your mind. Take ownership of what is yours and communicate it honestly and directly. Where differences exist, use good conflict resolution skills to resolve them.

7. Don’t Allow Your Past to Dictate Your Future

History has a way of repeating itself unless one mindfully makes changes. Take an honest look at your previous relationship mistakes so that you can avoid repeating them. This means confronting your fears and dependencies, and not looking to your partner to take responsibility for what is yours.

Keep in mind that building a strong “we” is a work in progress that is rich with discoveries and always filled with challenges. Following the above roadmap will help you to avoid some of the bumps in the road and disarm the behaviors that can undermine your relationship.

5 Reason Why you should do business while in Campus

Many parents object to the idea of their children doing business in school because they don’t understand the benefits of doing such. Now let me outline some of the benefits you are going to derive by successfully engaging in one or more of the businesses outlined in this site, after you will now decide whether to engage in it or not.

biz1

01-CASH: Believe it or not, life is good with money. With money, you are able to acquire basic needs of a student that will help you come out better in your academics. Likewise, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, so you also need to do one or two social activities like going to bar, chasing women, partying etc. all this requires money of which you know very well that your parents cant give you. Luxurious life is also sweet.

Those who normally criticize luxurious life are the poor ones. With cash, you can afford to dress exotically, use costly gadgets and even cruise on a car to the admiration of girls and to the envy of guys. So doing business as a student will guarantee you additional cash for miscellaneous expenses. Come to think of it, is it bad if you buy your own car as a student like other big boys do on campus? Definitely NO. I am doing it and so you can if you want to.

02-RESPECT: Take it or leave it, but it remains true, that students admire and respect their fellow students who legally make money on their own, rather than from their parents. You will only command such respect and admiration if you engage in a successful money making venture. Think of standing up in class to speak when everywhere is noisy, and everybody calms down to hear you; you are their idol, they want to hear words of wisdom from you. Imagine the pride and fulfillment you will have by this.

With good money, people will want to associate with you whether you are ugly or shot, to either learn or eat from you. I told you that as shy as I am, campus politicians come to make me their friend so that I can help sponsor their political bids. That is the power of money.

03-EXPERIENCE: These days, most employers require that job seekers have some years of experience in a particular field before employing them. Why? Because they are loosing faith in our theory-oriented school system. With this situation, young graduates find it difficult to get such work because they just left school and have not worked anywhere before. Woe!! But not so for a student entrepreneur like you are going to be. Why? Because as you are doing business while still a student, you are acquiring experience needed by any employer to employ you. Let’s assume you started a business related to your talent or course in year one. By the time you are graduating in your fourth year, you already have four-year working experience, making you qualified to get job with ease while your mates are still busy scrambling for work. To understand this well, go and ask graduates without job and you will be shocked to discover why they were disqualified from jobs (if they will be candid to you o!!)

04-SAY GOOD-BYE TO UNEMPLOYMENT : If you build a successful business like I am doing, while still a student, why should you go about looking for job when you graduate? So for us entrepreneurs, nothing like unemployment after school. Personally, I don’t even want to be employed, rather I will be employing others. Trust!

05-GROWTH POTENTIAL: You never can tell, depending on your business plan, your business might grow into a multi-national business. It only depends on your passion and vision for the business. Most of the big businesses you see started like you; as a student. It was by pursuing their vision that they were able to grow into real big business. Example includes Microsoft, Facebook, Dell etc. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a step. Make that bold step by starting one or more of the business listed in this book, and you are on your way to greatness.

So my good friend, are you still telling me that it is not good to do business as a student? If you feel you don’t want to enjoy these benefits, I advise that you stop here and close the book, because you will never gain any other thing out of it. I won’t beg or try convincing you to enjoy good life. But when the intimidation from the would-be big boys who go ahead to start a business and earning money, come your way, don’t feel bad.

anytime i start working with someone new to internet marketing and sometime even when i work with an old timer, their fist question is always what do i do first; i usually tell them to decide who their going to serve.i.e choose a niche then i tell them to start building a list then focus around solving one of their biggest problem that falls on the need to ,find people who
1)want what you want
2)can afford what you have
3) are wiling to pay for what you have
however when i thing about what the newbie should do first i think that peharbs it should be copy writing, learning to use words to influence the behavior of others by helping them to realize that what you want them to do is what they really want to do
what will you tell a newbie to focus on first.

This is a Simple strategy of making money selling
FREE Facebook pages To Local business owners.
Local business owners are those kinds of businesses we find around us.
The hair salon, restaurant and bars, club houses, Dentist and surgeons,
Cake bakers, jewelry sellers etc.
The first thing you need to do is go to online directories and look for
Different businesses that have a website.
So for example, let's say I type in cake shops on v connect.com
Which is a business directory for (Nigerians)?
I can see the following businesses have websites.
Now, click on the, website' below each business listings
And that would land you on their website and look around
To see whether these businesses have a Facebook page
Anywhere on their site.
If they don't have a Facebook page anywhere on their
Website or anywhere you can find on Facebook then this
Is a potential lead.
Now that we have discovered a potential client, what's
Next?
Well one option is to contact these business owners or
Email them with your FREE Facebook fan page offer.
Fortunately for us, we can find their emails on either their
V connect profile page or on their website. read more http://xtracity..com/
