Thanks for this info. Infact thanks for the many Infos you have been giving us so selflessly. Lasaco is attractive as a jijo candidate. I will do due diligence and do the needful. Thanks again.
The bolded is very important sir.........DD. Make una no talk say na Mcy talk am. grin
Lasaco is one of the few good insurance stocks on the exchange but dont know why it's not sentimentally favoured.
Just wondering why Cornerstone is trading above its share price and that of Aiico, maybe due to insider or merger info sha.

Let's hope it breaks the barrier, if not you plan your exit carefully/timely.

OBAGADAFFI:
Thanks
Was reading Interswitch reported
$15m in profits after tax in 2016, $19.2m in 2017 $23.3m in 2018.
Maybe somebody else should cross check too.
......but there are quite a number of companies not listed and are doing fine, some pay dividend to their shareholders as well.

Lasaco Assurance has been consistent with dividend payment for the past few years now.
A stock selling for 25k as at now paid 5k to shareholders for YE 2018.
Plan for Private Placement to 'strategic/selected investors' at 1.20k per share is ongoing.
Watching this one. Time will tell. smiley

What's is the fair price of lasaco? grin
Oga mi, this is not my area o, even myself is seeking to know the fair price.
The insurance sector is faced with recapitalisation now. Just felt some of them may be rewarding in the short - medium term with good entry price. My opinion may be very very wrong though.

You are still buying Lasaco. Why do you buy a stock huh Are you an FA or a TA person huh grin.
Chai! You caught me red-handed here again. grin
Na quick profit dragged me there o. lipsrsealed
Im neither FA or TA person but SA (both Sentimental and Spiritual). grin
Anyway, I checked their financials it was okay.
Also read they're doing a special/private placement of 1.20k per share, so I just thought they may move up the share price to make it look attractive in the meantime.........but with all these advices from the veterans here, I think I needed to redefine my objectives, do more readings so I can become better. smiley

You shouldn't stop commenting. You can read up strategies on how to navigate the market from people's post.
Be careful on those kobo kobo stocks. Except if you are not committing big funds to it, exiting will seem so difficult for you when it is time.
Try and sit in a well-cushioned bus such that when the bus breaks down, you just adjust your seat and sleep inside watching TV and eating snacks. Unlike Molue where if it breaks down, you can't even adjust seat. No snacks, nothing!
There are times that N10 stock is cheaper than 20kobo stock. grin This is a paradox of stock investing. You are so concerned about the "price" without first seeking "value attached to price" .
Alright Sir. Thank you. I'm blessed this weekend.
Will extract this advice and other ones into Excel so I can have easy access to it and be reading from time to time. I really needed that constant reminder. grin

Need advice please, gambled and bought lasaco at 28k last week and the price has dropped to 23k. I am thinking of loading more on Monday. I need the house opinion. Thanks
My opinion might be a bit different.
Lasaco was almost on full bid on Friday before that "impatient" guy like me grin. came to drop his Kaya towards the tail end. I wish I'd benefitted from the bonanza too, cos I picked small units at 27k not long before he came. If I see 23k I will buy more.
Lasaco is not doing bad at all, in fact, I just have the feelings that a repeat of what happened in cornerstone could happen here...........PLS NOTE that this is purely my opinion and I may be very wrong. Follow your instinct.

In SMN there was this guy that comes and say he only bought 2,000 units. His name is afolabi. He became the SI unit of quantity of stock. That is why you hear people on this thread say: "let me go and buy my afolabi units"

Afterwards, I started reading books, developing strategies, mastering my emotions (fear and greed) and watching behaviour of the market. It was then I discovered the bingo and the potbellied man! I am that bingo. Very patient!

Most of the guys you see here were all on SMN and they know the rules and understand controlling emotions. I want same for you.
Couldn't comment on the above earlier.
Thanks for taking your time to explain these terms sir....... Afolabi units. It's been mentioned here severally but didn't know the meaning or where it was originated from until now. Also the bingo and Potbelly man. smiley
Good to know quite a lot from SMN are on this thread too. No wonder we have lots of great guys here.
Think I'll limit my comments henceforth and be learning instead, although my comments are most times directed to my fellow newbies.
Once again, thanks sir. You're a blessing to this thread. cool

Chai! My boss Oracle did not understand my parables. Pls don't be offended sir. You're just coincidentally caught up in the quote but your jokes, albeit, "truth of the matter" wasn't even in the picture at all.
It's only one person Im sure can decode my comment. It's well. smiley
@All, do have a wonderful weekend.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f):
Oga @RabbiDoracle I wasn't in any way referring to you or offended at all. Your jokes were just what they were, JOKES with learning points. Believed Loco was joking too. I replied jokingly that day........but on a second thought I felt I should just mention it cos not all are sane on this thread. My mention has nothing to do with your jokes at all. Thanks for your good words and advice sir. Well appreciated.
Good to know you had your rough/inexperienced times too. smiley

And you sold some units of chams today..........
No mind Oracle. He thinks you are not making it.......
I just feel like replying on this, I actually didn't sell the day you mentioned but a previous day because I know what someone else might be looking for, so she/he can use to insult/attack me.
I knowingly didn't mention it, but the thing is, I sold qty that's more than the qty traded for that day you referred to.
Truth is, I'm not in competition with anyone here, I just do my things.

NB: Not in any way referring to Oga Oracle. He wouldn't descend so low to think of such things.

I taya for this Zee , thinkin of reducing my stake ...b4 my strategy was my profit must be same or more than the div expecting ..Got in at 17.70 my profit not up to the div expecting..other zee account na 19.80 @ small loss
I go see how next week will be like .. Maybe I fit pump more to fcmb /fidel
I personally don't really like Zee from beginning. If they declare dividends, price starts falling instead of appreciating, it takes much time for it to move when others are moving and all that.
The recent massive dumping by the unknown big guys was worrisome. No one knows the motive behind it so far. He may be seeing what we cannot see, and as someone rightly said, Zee no be anybody's papa coy, its not a stock for short term play.
Anyway, not trying to create panic, we're just sharing opinions here. Whosoever cant endure to eat the fruit of Zee's land knows what to do. smiley

Gurus in the house. Please I need your advice.
Which one is better for JIJO between Caverton and Cornerstone
Thanks for your support.
Cc: OGG, Mpeace, Mcy56, Rebekah, CP
From Mcy's point of view, None Sir......but you may go for Caverton for the medium term. Cornerstone already delivered over 200% price appreciation, may be risky to enter now, but the final decision is yours.
In my opinion, ETI is yet to enjoy d rally and my ogas said it's good at current price, PZ according to them is trading at its 10yrs low, it may rally small......
Let me leave the rest for my ogas to answer, I'm just trying ni. grin
