What's happening in UBA? Close to N1 billion already traded in just 5 minutes?
For those asking what to buy, keep eye on UBA, Access and FBNH price movement and watch out for pullback in these stocks, that's if there'll be any major one self.
The type of crossings ongoing in these stocks are just too massive!!

For now, market is trading sideways. Thanks obagadaffi. smiley

WEEKLY MARKET REVIEW
Equity Market: The Local Bourse Records 0.7% WoW Gains…as Oil & Gas Index rose 1.7% WoW

Trading performance during the week was mixed, as the market recorded two (2) days of bearish run due to selling pressures in some top tickers like ZENITH and GUARANTY. The price appreciation in AIRTELAFRI (+19.63% WoW) doused the impact of the selloffs as the broader index rose 0.7% WoW to close at 35,137.99pts bringing the YtD return to +30.9%. Similarly, market capitalisation improved by NGN137.5bn WoW to settle at NGN18.37trn.

Contrastingly, activity level dampened as the average volume and value of exchanged units dipped 7.8% and 1.4% respectively to 334.99 million and NGN5.08bn. TRIPPLEG (+20.0%) topped the weekly gainers’ chart while NNFM (-18.70%) led the pack of weekly losers.

Across the NSE sectorial front, on a WoW basis, the Oil & Gas sector (+1.7%) topped the gainers’ chart as the Insurance sector marked up closely (+1.6%). The Banking (-3.1%), Consumer Goods (-2.8%) and Industrial Goods (-2.2%) sectors all closed in the losers’ region.

With the low yield environment in the fixed income space and investors' corresponding stance of exercising caution, the local bourse recorded gains in this week’s trading session as investors took positions on fundamentally sound counters. However, with the introduction of the Special Bills by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the current performance of the equities market might be impacted depending on how attractive the rate at which this bill is issued. Nonetheless, as fingers remains crossed till further direction from the Apex bank, we expect the market to continue to record positive gains.

Something is confusing me, some coys here are not doing well in terms of earning but are doing well in the market.
Wonders of NSE my bro/sis. cheesy
That's why sometimes I wonder how some of our oldbies used to rubbish all stocks that are not fundamentally very okay.
All they wanted to see people discussing are big caps. Once you're commenting on sound medium/big caps no wahala .....but once you start mentioning small/low/not too sound ones, you'll see vexing. grin

Insurance?? Chai! You don offend some be that. grin

That was how they rubbished CCNN. The stock even sold down to around N9 that time. Instead of us to dissect and see inherent values like it used to be before. Nayyy.
Today, the same CCNN transformed to BUA and is well sitting above N50.....

That's where we needed to give it to OGG in this platform. He's really trying in the aspect of detailed analysis.

My ogas make Una no vex o. Na example I just dey give. grin lipsrsealed

You are right some how,you may not have physical offices but your products/service are top and not in ghost mood.Let me give you a typical example during the 2008 crash. Each time I drive pass rojeny resort you will see that forest has taken over the place but when I go to nse,I still see people biding for thr shares.Another was standard alliance insurance. My wife did everything possible to make me pickup one of thr packages. And I refused because I knew it was matter of time, they will come crashing . Even when she was no longer thr, clients whr calling and threatening her for the company to have decieved them after expiration of the contribution for 3 yrs ,5 yrs and could not access thr money
Not saying you were not right but just trying to let you view it from other angle too.
You also mentioned that it has to do with your products or services, very correct!

@biafran4life
Sometimes these things don't work like that o......though it may be a pointer.

You'll have to ask:
If no one patronizes them, where do they make their money/profits from?
Why are they still in existence with staff members and can still afford to pay them monthly salaries ?
Where do banks makes their huge profits from? Are you telling me it's from customers' small small deposits?
How many customers keep plenty cash in their accounts again.....when we have various interest yielding instruments that pays better than bank interests?

It's more than just using physical sites to judge these things.
I won't want to give you example of one or 2 coys that you can hardly see the names or office anywhere self......but are making loads of cash in profit.

Anyway, that's my way of seeing things from my amateur's perspective.
Anybody may come with counter argument but don't attack me based on this post. grin

Please is it advisable to enter eti @5.35?
Hold on for now.
The result is yet to circulate round. Panic dumpers are still coming.
Keep monitoring/watching out for the bottom.

If you must buy, you may start to position from Monday's day-low price .......

Remember this is strictly my opinion. DD advised.

**Updated**: Some entities/Bargainers are packing it at 5.35 like earlier observed.........but still keep eye on the price mvmt or you follow your mind.

You enter road,it run enter bush.

Lol. Mr. Market must be confusing the chartists by now too. grin

Seems whosoever is waiting for bottom bargain will wait tire, especially in sound stocks.
See Zenith, went down low yesterday, up today again.
Bad bad news can't even have much hold on Mr. Market around this time.
One of the reasons why I told one guy asking when to buy Access/Zenith, to just close eye and buy some at current price, then averaging down or averaging up may follow thereafter.

OBAGADAFFI:
Mr Market no send anybody o.

Hold your cash tight and look for better bargains.
The thing is: Where are the 'better bargains'?
If market looks like prices are falling, it quickly jumps back again.

FBNH for instance, went down to 6.80 based on ETI news but quickly reverses up to 7.10 in no time again.

We keep observing Mr. Market anyway......

Btw, where is FCMB Q3 result? Or I'm I the one that missed it? huh

......but quite a lot of bargainers are picking......or is it because they're yet to see the result?
I don't expect any Nsempa to have picked above 4.50 before the rally.......with the way it was emphasized here then.
Anyway, we will be watching out for bottom in this one again.

UBA: Red will fear those 20M and 10M single bids in 8.10.

Hhmmm. Oga Selly after how many days/week(s)?
Chai!! No one can satisfy human beings. grin

Anyway, if you pay much attention to the movements, maybe you will look beyond that.
I think the red we are seeing on the floor, in banking sector expecially has to do with some analysts negative view and report of the special FX bill.
Seems some cant really figure out what it means for the economy and the banking sector, hence various analysis on it.
Tomorrow we hear a different thing again.

Eitherway the market respond, its still Mr. Market and it will present opportunities or provide capital gains. It's just for us to benefit from it.
Reason its very important for individuals to know why they're in the market and what they buy into.
What I know is that we are in the last quater and there'll be various activities.
Whosoever is in sound fundamental stocks should not panic unnecessarily.
It is well. smiley
