March is about to repeat itself in July. Bargain hunters unleash your chest! This is interesting...
Market not likely going to visit March lows.......before reversing

Bros, is fidelity at 1.70 ok for short termer . Pls advice .
Lower 1.60 region (1.58-1.65 range) is much better.

Just my opinion. It may or may not get there. You can start cherry picking from 1.68/1.70 based on your investment objective.

I get your point, but I filled like 3 of this form a few weeks ago so my memory is pretty fresh. Moreover, they had to call me on phone to guide me on how to fill the form properly after the first one I sent was not up to par.
Alright. Thanks.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f):
@ojesymsym i think it's always better to allow them fill it for you.
They mostly tell clients to sign the transferor's side only. The number of shares he may believe he has might be more than what he has, in case of hidden bonus issues that are yet to reflect in his portfolio.
I also don't think it's the transferee's section he should sign.

On this Neimeth, I think people should just look out for opportunities elsewhere.......it will just range at certain points, then go to rest for the year......EXCEPT there's something driving the price.
No be only Neimeth waka come.
Just my opinion anyway. wink

Pls is DANSUGAR a good buy for 11.70
It's a good buy but you can get at better (cheaper) bargain cos of the general situation of the market for now.
Alternatively:
You can be picking it small small, so that you'll be buying in tranches if it's going lower. You may be dropping your bids at support (lower prices).
No one can time Mr. Market but the skepticism remains that the Q2 results might not be that fantastic, hence the cautious trading.
This is just my opinion, I may be wrong.

GET READY FOR TRANSCORP HOTEL PLUMMETING HAPPY DAYS AHEAD AS THEY HAVE ANNOUNCED RIGHT ISSUE PRICE

MTN ON THE INCREASE NEXT WEEK, one crazy director bought shares worth 109.5 million
Be careful of transcorp hotels. It's highly illiquid.
The fact that they're going for right issue is even another reason to be cautious in dealing with them.
If you have insider or privileged info, you're very sure of it and ready to go a very long term, then you can go for it.

As for MTN, how many units does the 109.5M translate to?
Watch and allow general market direction guide your investment decision.

Abeg your input are welcome to gurus in the house
Thanks in advance
If a part of you says cash out, then do so.
Sometimes you can't beat instincts, you just follow your mind.
If it goes further up, then you should learn not to regret. Just work against regrets.

Bjrokenhear003:
my point is that why will two of the directors buy the shares at 138 and 139(1million each) totally 138 and 139 million if they know the shares will fall below 120, will anybody want to loose at least 18-19 million
Those big guys don't think or look like we think/look o.
They must have seen value beyond what we can see, then buy at premium price.
To those guys, time is on their side, they can wait it out for the price to appreciate and deliver more profits to them.
Also, with the recent rule that insiders must go thru NSE for their dealings, some of them just have to buy at their time and at prevailing prices.
See the case of UACN, some deep pockets bought at N10 or thereabout........maybe I'll try and get the right price and qty for you later.

Please ma if I buy nahco today will I still qualify for the dividend?
If today is their last qualification date, though you'll still qualify but I'll advice you don't buy it again.
Wait for markdown, monitor the price movement then key into it at bottom for price appreciation.
That's my own.

Thanks mercy.
I am keeping some cash hoping to buy stocks at the beginning of bull. I am thinking of picking gtb and access (i already bought zenith and uba at march low price) but the low price dangcem is attractive but need to understand what buyback means .
I will wait for honourable onegentleguy.
Yes. Wait for dangcem to fall. They will still crash the price to buy it back at lowest possible price. Then move the bus thereafter.
I don't think there's anything wrong with its fundamentals, Alhaji and his guys just needed to pick it at cheapest price on the floor ni.
The first year low was 116 around march.....let's see how they'll do it this time around. How low it will go.
I can see 115.20 on the table......think it will be good to start picking small small from the year low.......
This is just my opinion. smiley

Mcy56, how does buyback work with dangcem...i don google am but still didnt understand. Sorry to border you.
Sir Onegentleguy pls help out here.
I don't know much about dangcem buyback.

.....but share buyback is beneficial once completed/concluded.
The share price will go up thereafter.....but will still fall before then, like dangcem is currently fallen cos the aim is to pick at lower price as possible on the floor.

3.6M+ traded so far......N10 as at now....
What could be the reason for this massive dumping? huh
Anyway, those inside the bus would do well to exercise patience and try to average down should they still have extra funds........my opinion.

Fbnh moved up to 5.45.........lets see if it can sustain this upward momentum.....

Guinness at 14.50! shocked sad

Zenith doing strong head. Some people are waiting for it at sub-15. grin

Guess there's the need to keep eye on Mr. Market for reversal whenever the sideways trading as well as panic/dumping subsides......
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 1:03pm On Jun 30, 2020
Banking sector withstood fall in price for the past few trading days.....
Seems they are yielding to the persistent sell pressure........with GTB taking the lead now.

Billtommy, I wasn't expecting you to re-enter the market the time you did, guess you'll have to average down .....
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f):
Redstar performed some magic today....back to the upward region.
Some smart ones must have made over 10% in a single day alone. smiley

BTW, market is tanking today.
Could this be linked to the approaching end of Q2 or it's just doing so in preparation for reversal? huh
Only Mr. Market and Mr. Time can give answer to this.

@ Chibuking81 pls try and go thru Cardinal stone's analysis on UACN carefully.
They gave the worst scenario, which is still not worst as the case may be.
Now, try and look at it from the best case scenario too.

It happened the same time UBA spun off United Capital, APR and Afriland.

CBN told banks to face their core banking business, those who want to have non banking businesses should opt for holdco.

First Bank, Stanbic IBTC and FCMB opted for the holding company structure
Thanks for the insight sir.
