emmanuelewumi:
How much did GTB sell the defunct GT Assurance now Axa Mansard and how much are they going to buy the pension business of Axa Mansard
Okay. Didn't know GTB actually sold it, thought it was allowed to stand alone as an entity with GTB owning substantial stake in it.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 11:15am On Jun 26, 2020
rebekah2011:
Gtbank will buy it las las
Axa Mansard is an arm of GTB, operating independently I think.
GTB might take it back just like you said.

I'd be busy tomorrow in a remote location, is it possible to place an order this night or tomorrow before the market opens?

@mcy56 and other Morgan Capital user, please.
I don't think you can place order outside trading hours.

Princkez:
what if it's back dated to 2019...what happens to those who bought in 2020
Qualification date and other necessary info should be announced after completing the unbundling......these things follow processes. I don't think it can be back dated.

My concern however is the period within which they'll conclude and rest the matter.
Let it not be longer than necessary. Let them make it sharp sharp thereafter and not tie people's monies down. smiley

Also, like I said, what I posted was just my understanding of how the scenario is going to play out, based on the documents uploaded and published in NSE website as well as getting some guides from the monikers mentioned above.
Correction is welcomed.

Well said. grin
Thanks bros.

The question is: What does anyone stands to gain or lose here........looking at Risk Vs. Reward? ......With due respect to OGG?

To me, the Reward far outweigh the Risks.

Other questions are these:
* Is any of the 3 coys disappearing? No!
* Will they be able to stand on their own? Yes!
* Will that affect UACN share price Negatively? Think the answer is still No!

Make Una add other questions join. I don try. grin
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f):
About UACN unbundling:
This post is for the benefits of those who doesnt understand what the argument was about.

My understanding:
1. UACN is splitting into three after unbundling - UACN, UPDC and UPDC-Reit.
2. Each entity to deal directly with their shareholders after unbundling.
3. UACN controls 93.9% of stake in UPDC and around 61% in UPDC-REIT.
4. UACN shares remains.
5. 93.9% stake of UACN in UPDC to be pro-rated and shared in ratio 1:6 to UACN shareholders.
6. Over 61% UACN stake in REIT to be pro-rated and shared in ratio 2:1 to UACN shareholders.
7. At the end of unbundling, 2 company's shares in addition to UACN (making 3 stocks) will appear in your portfolio.....if you have the 3 already, the units in UPDC and REIT will increase.

@Onegentleguy, Uchetoba and talk2me2 have done all the talking and calculations, you may refer to their posts on the subject.

Invariably, this unbundling will end up paying off..... to the patient ones especially. We pray everything goes according to the plan.

After unbundling, UACN would have separated from its loss making arm while UPDC would strive to restrategise to deliver value to shareholders.....this started with their successful conclusion of the right issue.
Individual is now free to make his/her own choice. tongue

Will that do another neimeth? Is there something we dont know? grin
Seems you're already in Chams bus.
Can't you see that it touches 20kobo in the support?
What it means is that bargain hunters as well as jijo groups are interested in entering at car park.......then wait for the driver to move the car with some kobos again. tongue

Wigwe SOLD his ACCESS at N10 plus and he now REPURCHASED at N6plus what does that tells you huh
That he knows how to play the game and he's a biz-man nah. grin
Do you know how much the director that sold of his uacn shares purchased it?
Do you know how many units he had?
Can you remember that uacn sold for 4.50 just this last year?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f):
megawealth01:
Na wetin I fit risk in millions for there grin
Okay.
Don't have much strength for argument......but if we say someone is selling off (UACN), hope we didn't forget that someone is staking his money on it as well.
What if those insider dealings were mere crossings from a friend to another friend or inviting a highly influential friend unto the table?
What if it's another core shareholder taking position while another one is crossing some of his stakes to him?
What if the shareholder selling is doing so to pursue other interests?

Not too long ago, Wigwe was selling Access and people were panicking, now he's buying back.

During diamond time, there were quite a lot of crossings from the Dozies to the Wigwes (correct me if I'm wrong).

I think these guys knows more than we do.

In the prospectus however, there were details of how the unbundling is going to be done.

Still reading and trying to figure things out myself anyway........until I did this type of findings during Diamond era, I didn't understand it well, was just following Nsempas blindly before then.......but when I did, I could remember posting in favour of the merger thereafter.... tongue

FCMB o for 1.5
I have join queue too. Patience is to watch and wait
FCMB at 1.5 is okay but I was referring to UACN there.
He said he needed it at N2 and I asked why.
Is it because there were lots of insider dealings or he has another reason?

Anyway, I'm currently reading some bulletins and member's comments on this UACN unbundling.
I know the issue had/has been over-flogged here but so far, I think the outcome is going to be positive.
Let me keep digging......... tongue

Go and open accout with a broker first.
I recommend Morgan Capital.
We have quite some other ones which you can get if you read few pages of this thread back.
After account opening, you can come back to ask what to buy......because what will be giving to you now might not be the best ones again at the point of buying.

Snr Loco no vex. Lol. grin

Hope you know one of the heavy volumes crossed last week was done at 2?
Today, can you see the crossings and trades going on at 1.80.
Sometimes those volumes dont determine immediate upward price direction...... especially if the market is somehow stagnant like this.
It could however be a pointer to things to come.

That 1.70-72 was a good entry for fcmb.
After consolidations comes breakout.
I can see next support at 1.99 and a new high of #2.50..
FCMB may likely come down lower than that price.
I observed quite some large crossings and purchases last week anyway. Maybe some entities or individuals are buying.

I think I have said it here before. Someone I know worked with them right from PH, Lagos, and Dubai. When I had high hopes in the company, he will just be smiling. The company started very well but the owner just got too greedy. He took too much from the business.
Boss, don't get me wrong.
We were just talking about buying the coy over if theres fund and possibly returning it to profitability ......not really discussing about its current state.

Lemme ask you one question... If you were offered 100% of all the shares in Japaul right now, and you have enough money to buy it all, would you buy the company?
My dear you said it all.
If I have enough money to buy, then it also means I have more money left to turn the coy around for good.
Yes, I'll buy it. tongue

Why do you think an investor put money on AG Leventis, Dangflour and the likes and even bought them out at premium?

To answer you again, I do invest in Japaul when the opportunity comes calling.
Let me say, I'm also not looking at it from Nsempas points of view.
So I wouldn't totally call it speculation.....but calling it as it is......from my own point of view.
