MILITIA:I guess you not putting yourself in her shoes really and I bet you are not married too with the kind of responsibility you have. At least here at least you can get a job paying less to hold urself while things get better. I have friends that lost their well paying job but didnt have any problem to do security till they got the kind of job they wanted back to pay their bills. That doesnt happen in nigeria. Finding a job is not like walking down to your local KMart/Target/Ross/walmart and asking to start tomorrow or you can go to Dominos to start delivering Pizza the next day at least to keep the fund going. I worked in naija for a 1.5 years in naija and I know how things work. Like the poster said, it is not an ideal situation but it is a drastic situation that required a drastic action - who wants to leave a their family to purseu money but when youd ont have a choice you gat to do what you got to do - simple |
dang! see all these losers that dont get play sharing their virgin secret. Wow! you guys actually get mouth talking about not getting laid! kai! Is it that your vibes aret working or you some prude? At 24 and you are not playing the field - you better do all you can do now. I guess na una go dey marrya nd see what una miss sotay u go start cheating on your wife - Men! go get laid! |
MILITIA:It is sad that a lot of Nigerian girls are not even trying to enjoying their dating life - I mean go out there and mix and date different races especially in the US. Like I said, marriage is a different matter entirely but there is nothing as meeting and hanging out and learn from close quarters what other people do. I took time to actually date (and of course sleep) with different girls of different races, background and from different countries and continents. I understand their sensibilities and their cultures. I think I will settle down with a Nigerian girl when I am ready actuallyand not because I dont have a wide range of options - it is just easier and I like the easy way out always, lol. But really, Nigerian girls are really missing out not dating across racial or cultural lines especially brothers from other african countries. I dated a girl from Botswana and some west african countries (thanks to Club zanzibar) and I still wonder why naija girls get so much drama! lol. By the way, my game never reach ethiopian girls, those girls are worse than naija babes in term of them clanishness - they hardly date non-ethiopians and they are so fooooooooinee! Please anyone know any ethiopian girl that likes a brother please hook me up - I wanna know how an ethiopian girl scream in amharic ![]() |
Nigerian women n Nigeria dont play the field like the men. Western women yes or maybe Nigerian women in the west maybe but nothing supports the fact that women play the field than men in Nigeria |
Some of the changes in technology around here in the US are mostly by people like me and you. Some of them even starts in the colleges - sponsored by companies. Some of the researches are sponsored by the military - For God sake a lot of the people that came up with these things are just like you and me. I know a Nigerian, a personal friend that is making a breakthrough in a major technological field where he is getting a phD in nanotechnology. His research is being sponsored by a major car company - I bet he is evil too. Your case dey hard man! Please leave your village and go out there and see what the human mind have done - Even the bible says in the end of days, knowledge will be multiplied. Soon just wait Embroynic stem cell will ensure that human parts will can be replaced like u replace ur tires |
amaikama:Man! where do you get your fables from? yes there are people who claim they devote there lives to satan but please do a google search and provide a link to where that news is from that Celine Deon turned into dragon or something? where in the world are you hearing these stories from? MCHammer got broke because just like Tyson because he made a lot of bad financial decision and has nothing to do with bowing to anyone or anybody. I guess you have been watching too much or thriller. man! where did you get your rumors from? Yep, people do Tatoos here - going to tatoo parlor is like getting a haircut. Where did you get the whole stuff about initiation? I am sure even the people that wins american idols too get initiation - Man your case is just too bad! all thise rumors that people that live in the country doesnt even get sef na wa! The rumors are not anywhere in america but people in naija dey get am - I bow |
Interacial dating? I have had my fair share. I actually loved it one time. I have dated across racial boundaries and I found it interesting. Not sure fi I will marry other races though but I never had any problem dating other races. My best experience was with a Latino girl during my brief work in LA. Gosh! she is the most homely girl I have ever met. Her parents are from Argentina - funny enough my worst experience na naija babes (but I still love una sha). I am an equal opportunity fucker/dater (EOF/D) but when it comes to commitment other factors might come into play! |
amaikama (m)This is the same reason I keep saying we are backward. I know a company here that do a lot of design for a major store clothing line. I didnt see mammy wata among them. If left to us am sure we would think going to space is and walking on the moon is dissing God. Like I wrote in my earlier post, if the hair product are done under the seas, we should be the net exporter of such products to the US and other places abi devil just want Niaja souls alone? |
texazzpete:I did my UME in 1991 and the highest scores was 320, so I guess your set wasnt that good that and that was "nowadays" for me when you did yours |
Virgin for wia? I dont want a virgin. I had an experience with one some moons ago and aint going through it again, of course I dont want a slut but learn to fuk dammit! Prude are for losers! |
your not a nigerian,if you were you could have been to naija all these years of your life.Ignorant statement at best. From the look of things, the fact that he was born and raised in another country and still consider himself a Nigerian is commendable - The fault is definitely not his but his parents so STFU. For me I write poems - won some couple of awards I am a closet freak (not a perv) I am an internet addict Smart girly head turns me on I am a big flirt |
What's the use if she's beautiful and has nothing in her head?fuc-kability! |
man mi! if you don't get it, you don't get it! Iice is toying with you and you taking it like a lapping poodle! |
collinx:why dating or even going ahead to marry someone you are not attracted to. There has to be some sort of attraction somewhere or you are setting yourself up for some eternal infidelity. It just doesnt worth it. As a man, I cant even gbenshi I woman I am not attracted to - even if she is burning herself love - it just wont work |
the key word here is allegedly. Wey the pastor and the eye witness that claimed the child turned into a bird. They need to have them arrested. For freaking sake, arent there no video or pictorial evidence to support this claim? at least I believe camera phone is very common in naija now abi? The reporter also needs to be flogged for coming with a story that doesnt have any evidence other than dem say dem say |
MP007:Are you freaking outta your mind? $600 for some iPhone? I guess you dont have anything to do with your money. Go feed some hungry kids somehere in el salvador or guatemala first! but on the real though, you dont have to spend that amount on a phone that is not widely used. Most new technologies come out expensive, all you need to do is to wait in after a year the same phone or a the second generation of it will sell for half or 1/3 of the price. The rule of the thumb with new technology is dont buy it - they are still concepts and until the 2nd or 3rd generation of the products, most of the products are still craps that havent been perfectise yet - You will be used as a guinea pig while using your hard earned money in the process |
Buy her a birth control patch, IUD or birth control pills - the biss needs to learn that making baby is a big responsibility |
Flirty biss! lol - trying to make the young bobo go through hurricane to have a taste of a pie! mba, that hard o and thebobo no even get am im still dey throw vibes your way, |
Sat for UME only once. Scored 240 and got admitted for Electrical Engineering at Ife barely 15 in 1991 based on my state of Origin catchment area (ondo). That was the same year the school calendar was changed and we were rushed outta school. It worked perfectly for me - I finished SSCE in august and sat for JAMB in October |
tundysho:Using your biblical quote you posted : 'People perish for the lack of wisdom". It seem you not adhering to the same wisdom. My question is why is it that in Africa that we have those "real life experiences"? If you look at my post, nowhere I didnt say there are no metaphysical forces but to what degree do they affect us? Why do we have much more accidents in Naija than a place like USA? is it because there are more witches in Nigeria than the US. Do you know how many bipolar patients are treated and live their normal life in a place like US? If it were in naija they would have said that it was their mom's enemy that caused the madness? How many people died of diabetes and they claimed it was a witch in their family? such people live with such diseases very well in the US and live for long? I am sure that sleep paralysis must have happened to you sometimes in your life and I am sure you were told it was demon that was pressing you down, Is that principalities and power too? Rowland asked a valid question and I guess a lot of people believe in all these but when you also get to another phase in life you tend to know a lot of what we ascribed to spiritual attacks are classic scientific and medical phenomenon that have been explained and cured found for it. It is our fault that we still wont leave our dogma behind |
rowlandwhy:Rowlandwhy: I understand your curiosity and your desire to get an answer to it. Yes, I lived in Nigeria - I actually did my first degree in Nigeria and I understand what you are talking about. I really don't think people are out to get you or insult you though they might be harsh on your post. We african are very superstitious, we dont tend to want to cause any imbalance to any of our beliefs. I guess that is what makes us differentf rom the other races. maybe I used to be like you, believing a lot of stuff being passed to me by uncles, parents, cousins etc. majority of those I realized, by being in different environment, are not true. Every society has its myth and our society because of the fact that we are very spiritual tend to see things from that perspectives. A lot of the hair products are made from the simple things you see day by day and with other additions. I really dont know how the "undersea" elements comes into the picture but like every myth and Urban legend people carry them from time to time and from generation to generation. The problem is that it cannot be verified and it cannot pass any acceptable test. Have people been able to find correlation between people that use those products and some other incidents? Any comparison between people who use any of the hair products and people that dont in any area of human endeavours? How many millions of women use these products and how have they been negatively impacted? |
I understand what this lady is coming from. I used to work for an IT company when I was in Nigeria in 99/2000. My girlfriend used to complain everytime then. I was a typical workaholic. Worked saturday and even sunday sometimes. Of course I completely forgot about Church. The truth is that a lot of Nigerian employers dont respect your time especailly if you are single. I used to work as a consultant for one of the big 3 oil companies in Nigeria then and it wasnt just easy on me at all. Yes the money was good but it eventually ruined my relationship then. It doesnt mean the guy is cheating on you it just mean he doesnt know how to balance work and his personal life - I was an example! |
dgb4:Nothing against you Mister and it doesn't have anything to do with what you belief, but these stuffs are just ridiculous. It is not about dissing people that live in naija - some of us were raised in naija but if you go to other land - you realize some of these stuff just dont cut it. Some people know where some of these products were made and what they are made of and the processes involved in them. People say all kind of stuff - as testimony as you want to call it- but that doesnt mean they are true. I am sure in the olden days some people came out to praise some gods that cure them of sopono smallpox - when all they could have done is take the small pox vaccine. I believe there exist principalities and power but a lot of the so called we ascribed to them are either caused by our ignorance or some unverified dogma and superstition. My question to the person that started this thread is would it have made a difference if you buy the hair from UK/US abi winchi no dey thise side? |
dollyp1cute:My take is that what we ascribe to demons and spirits are caused by ourselves or our medical condition. Look at the issue of sleep sex - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_sex or and sleep paralysis I bet you also believe it was demon too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis |
nossycheek:Madam nossycheek, I bet you should make us understand what you are talking about! This is the same hogwash I was talking about earlier - Dogma that doesnt have any basis. Tell us, I wonder why the demons dont produce the food that we eat too - at least that should be easier for them to pass the spirit than waiting for the weave on and attachment. Since they are the ones that dictates fashion, all the kids on the street of america are definitely possessed abi na only naija marine power dey abi? |
American football rocks (go REDSKINS!) I couldnt believe I would ever dump soccer for football but sadly that is what I have done. This is coming from a former soccer addict- used to buy Complete Football every month then and would watch any soccer on TV ina naija. I love football - I only watch soccer only if naija is playing or maybe some top level UEFA champions league but I dont even go out of my way. Mine got bad to the point that I changed Church cos of football. My old church liked long service and we dont close utill like 2PM EST. I go ind church for my house wey dey do early morning service. I go by 7 and come back by 930am and have enough time all day to watch football all day sunday. To the soccer lovers out there, take time to understand American football. It is one of the best game ever invented. The schemes, the tricks, the play call, you will fall in love with it! |
westee:At least you came out to say you are one of them. It is just sad what my beautiful country has turned it and it is funny that some people can justify it. I live in the US and I see how anything Nigerian is villified. What a lot of these yahoo boys dont understand is that they are actually burning a lot of bridges and isolating Nigeria in the international community. Nigeria is not the poorest country in the world. Nice to talk about Efizzi! I guess the yahoo boys syndrome is being pushed by the quest for Effizzi! Just sad |
God! we have taken dogma to another level in that country. I think people need to get out of that country for a minute to see what is happening outside and they can put their belief and reality in perspectives. It is sad to think that the so called "educated" people are the one passing all these fables around. I guess that is the reason we are not progresinga s we should because we just have to many dogma we couldnt shake off. Most of the cosmetic products here actually have the ingredients on the label. I don't know about the ones sold in naija. That means you can actually go online, check what those things are and how they affect your health. The companies that produce these products pay taxes to the government or in some cases when they are imported they have to conform to a specific standard. I think as a people we should take time to do our personal research. I am sure at a time, riding a bicycle or driving a car would have been seen as demonic too. The same reason why we dont do autopsy in the country because we believe na winch kill pesin! We definitely are not getting innovative with our thinking as a whole because we are bounded by those dogma. This thread is definitely laughable! |
I really don't see why people consider this to be right or wrong. I think the Nigerian culture seem to frown at it for just no cause - Maybe because of the pedestal that men are supposed to be on. We look at things always from the point of seniority! Kinda sad! I am in my early 30s and I have dated women women that were 10 years older when I was in my early 20s. Not sure if i would have married them though but I think I had the best time of my life dating such people. I guess it also had to do with your maturity. I think every woman wants a MAN - ok better put an Alpha male and regardless of the age, she wants some form of maturity and not some kiddies! I really dont see anything wrong in that though, it depends on the people involved. |
The guys will also learn to take a shower and wipe their butts clean before crawling into the bed! When wahala comes into your marriage you will go and start sleeping in church for help --fasting and praying only to loose more weight, become less attractive with your bloody scarves or even start looking like AIDS victims! Nonsense!
