Ikechu12:For a final and lasting solution we need a new Constitution and restructuring. Only Resource Control and Self-determination will settle everything. Once and for all. |
It's all about Buhari by hook or by crook, creating a strong legacy for Fulani from all over Africa to take over this land called Nigeria. It's not about what is right, or just. But Buhari is in power. And will use State power and State money (South's money) to make Fulani have a strong hold here, where they are not indigenous but a settler people. However, his plans are unraveling. Now the Fulani agenda is out in the open and the indigenous people are as a bloc uniting and going to remove such government. Not only that if we are going to be one Nigeria, it is going to be by CONFEDERATION. Or we SPLIT UP. In either case, we are going to SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM AREWA. Since Buhari has used illegal immigration of Fulani into the country to change the demographics, every region now MUST be in charge of its borders. Otherwise this flood of Fulani will be a perpetual existential threat to the indigenous peoples of South and Middle belt. I will attach two maps of how we can separate away from Arewa either as a Confederation or Split up. Both maps will work for either of these options.

EVERYTHING you have said is the truth. The whole truth. And nothing but the truth. You know it. The whole world sees it and knows it. The Black man would rather exist in denial than face this truth. But, a few, like you (and me) have the courage to live in this reality. Keep on stating it. |
I agree with you. When Utomi was young the Fulani were laying quiet. Now they are out as terrorist herdsmen, killing, raping, land grabbing. Utomi should go tell the Jews that Nazis were being friendly to them. And tell the Tutsis that the Hutus were being friendly to them. |
You will always find some hate-filled Southerners and MBers who think only of "my tribe". They are the "Black trash" among us and have nothing intelligent to offer. You are SO very correct that all the South and MB should unite and fight off our common enemy. Once that is done, the South and MB can decide if we can stay together under a new fair, resource control and self-determination Constitution. As you say, for now our STRENGTH lies in unity of purpose. The "Black trash" among us aren't able to understand that so we just let them do their trash among themselves. Afenifere, PANDEF, MB Forum and Ohanaeze are all united to push away our common enemy and our common problem. What I am seeing is that more and more of us in South and MB ARE uniting. The arrangement that I am hearing about are as follows: Partition into 2 countries: South and Middle Belt together, then Arewa OR Split into 4 countries: Oduduwa Nation, Lower Niger Nation, Middle Belt Nation and Arewa Nation There will be an uprising, then we will insist on a Referendum and a new Constitution. That's how other nations in a similar position we are have freed themselves from bad governments. |
Nigeria's current Constitution is fraudulent, unfair and illegal. The ethnic nationalities NEVER agreed to it. Let's think about it: How can anybody give away 100% of his riches then be ok with being returned just 13% of it? Imagine you give your entire salary to a beggar, then he gives you 13% of it back for you and keeps the rest. Is that sanity? That is what this Constitution is doing to oil producing areas! It is a fraud! So until there is a new Constitution Nigeria being a nice place will only be in our dreams. We need to decide if the ethnic nationalities want to be in a union, with which ethnic nationalities, and how to do so. With a new People's Constitution, those who want to be in a union can create a nice country. |
Even if we split or partition into two, we still must first have an uprising. Every person has his own idea but it is not for one person to decide. It is for ALL of us. That is why we need a Referendum. The majority vote will win. We are all fed up of Nigeria and as this article says, we need to READ about how others did it. South Africa seems a good example to learn from. I myself want us to partition into two (South & MB together as one, then Arewa as another). Or split into 4 (Arewa, Oduduwa, MB, Lower Niger). These are two options that I have been hearing about. If you are from SS or SE try going to the Orient Harmony Facebook page and the Lower Niger Congress website. You'll find reasons to be hopeful. ![]() |
Tomide007:Yes. Not just Igbo, but Yoruba, and all the people of South and Middle Belt. It is also called Muturu cattle or West African Shorthorn. It is native to forest and savannah. Our forefathers knew it well but since the 1980s government was funding only the Fulani breeds, that's why those are all over the place. Check out my posts as one of them is about Muturu cattle. They are beautiful. You can google a photo of them or see it in my post. They were found everywhere before. But we will bring them back again to the entire South and Middle Belt. |
NIGERIA'S ENLIGHTENMENT ERA SHOULD START NOW [RIGHT OF REVOLUTION] Given all the killings, terrorism, violence and insecurity happening in Nigeria, and add to it systemic corruption, I have taken it upon myself, as my patriotic duty, to guide citizens, particularly young people, so that they can make the best choices at this time of increasing chaos and turmoil. Citizens ought to develop an interest in the way they are governed because government affects each person's life either for good, or for bad - and we all want a good life, do we not? In ancient China the Mandate of Heaven, was a doctrine that Heaven would bless the authority of a just ruler, but would be displeased and withdraw its mandate from a despotic ruler. The Mandate of Heaven would be invoked by philosophers and scholars in China as a way to curtail the abuse of power by a ruler (Wikipedia). Today, the main role of a government is to Protect and Provide. The government protects citizens and their property from violence; plus it provides public services and an enabling environment for economic well-being, educational advancement, health maintenance, and the ongoing welfare of all citizens. From the state of Nigeria it is clear that the government has completely failed in its duties. Citizens then have to ask: What is the point and benefit to them of keeping such a government? There are three well-established principles underpinning a democracy: Sovereignty is with the people (popular sovereignty) not with elected politicians, Autonomy (individual and collective), and Equality. Based on these fundamentals, we can say that Nigeria is not really practicing a democracy. There are increasingly loud voices of discontent throughout the country. What Nigeria is going through is not new though, many other countries that are progressing and prospering today faced such a crossroads, so their citizens collectively changed their situation. We can learn a lot from Wikipedia: "For the philosopher John Locke, the right to revolution formed an integral part of his Social Contract Theory. Locke declared that under natural law, all people have the right to life, liberty, and estate. Thus, under a Social Contract [of government with the people], the people could instigate a revolution [or uprising] against the government when it acted against the interests of citizens, to replace the government with one that served the interests of citizens. In some cases, Locke deemed revolution an obligation. The right of revolution thus essentially acted as a safeguard against tyranny". So let us be clear about this. In political philosophy, the "Right of Revolution" is the right or duty of citizens to overthrow a government that acts against their common interests and/or threatens the safety of the people without cause (Wikipedia). Some argue that it is even a DUTY, so even more so than a right, for citizens to remove a government that is an enemy towards them and their welfare. South Africa is a country that we can learn from. The citizens of South Africa seeing that an Apartheid government was destroying their hopes, potentials, and aspirations rose against the government and successfully removed an Apartheid government and an Apartheid Constitution. When power realises that its very existence is threatened, it succumbs to the demands of the people. That is what happened in South Africa, the Apartheid regime became so overwhelmed by the people's uprising that it realised it had to dialogue with the people, and give them what they wanted. A similar thing is happening in Sudan. The people are determined to make the leaders feel threatened about their continued stance, and when that turning point is reached, they will negotiate with the people. An uprising can last for weeks, months or years and happens when citizens experience a depressing present, and can see that life will never improve under the current leadership. The internet provides several non-violent methods that citizens can use in the "Right of Revolution" such as protests, general strikes, civic boycotts, petitions, social media, etc. There are even video games such as "People Power - the game of civil resistance" that students of political science and ordinary citizens find useful. Good government also requires a good Constitution, one truly created by the people and for the people, so our youth should develop an interest in, and do research to learn how a Constitution is created. For far too long Nigerians have not gotten involved in Civic Education, and this has weakened us to accept poor leadership and undemocratic governments. Things have now come to a head and Nigeria's enlightenment period should start right now. Enlightenment through Civic Education is crucial in a democracy, equipping ordinary citizens with knowledge about what a democracy and Constitution entail. It lets citizens know what they can do to protect and improve their democracy, to stand on the foundation that sovereignty is with the people, and that the role of members of government is to serve them, to be public servants. At this time of turmoil in the land, being confused is not a good option. Google is our best friend, and the internet is an excellent place for young people to get the knowledge, skills, critical thinking approaches, etc that are essential for democratic nation-building. Youth, especially, should use the internet to research and learn how they can replace the wrong things in society with the right things. This is our era of public enlightenment to create a well-informed citizenry, empowered for Citizen Participation for a better nation. Source: https://web.facebook.com/ndidi.uwechue |
AmazingELixir:They can still stop the train oooo and kill, steal and destroy. Only Confederation, Partition into 2, or Split into 4 will save us. Other African countries are chasing them out. |
Buhari is calmly restructuring the entire territory of Nigeria into an Arewa nation. He needs bendable people in his cabinet so that he can achieve that. We can't just depend on any Supreme Court to get out of this entrapment. The ethnic nationalities did not sign up for this. We therefore have to re-write the conditions for this union, or scrap the union. We are the indigenous people, Fulani are not. |
No international court will condone the illegal migration of Fulani fro other parts into Nigeria, then the plan for a settler people to grab our lands under the guise of cattle colony/ranch etc. It's either by Referendum or by other means. We cannot keep on submitting ourselves to a terrible existence. Why? Is it fair to our children and to their children? |
CORRECT! The ethnic nationalities should either re-draw the conditions of our union, or we dissolve this union of death. We will remain poverty capital if things stay as they are. But if the ethnic nationalities refuse this entrapment called Nigeria, we can be free for those who can progress and prosper to do so. Attached is a map that produces an ideal structure for this territory called Nigeria (it is from the Lower Niger Congress website)

The shame of us accepting this is that the Fulani are not even indigenous people! Fulani are settler people. They managed to take over the lands of the Hausa, Hausa who are indigenous people, turning them into Almajiris. Now, they want all our ancestral lands too. The ethnic nationalities of Nigeria did not sign up to having our lands taken over by Fulani. The ONLY way to be permanently free from Fulani troublesome trouble-making is to Partition into 2 countries of South & Middle Belt together, and Arewa another country. Or, Split into 4 countries: Oduduwa Nation, Lower Niger Nation, Middle Belt Nation and Arewa Nation. Something like the map attached (from Lower Niger Congress website). Fulani will never give us any peace if we remain with them. As we see, Buhari is secretly restructuring Nigeria so that the entire territory becomes an Arewa nation! That is why he is not listening to our calls for restructuring - he is already doing it according to his Fulanization plan. We must now either Partition or Split up because we are being flooded by these foreign Fulani. If we remain one country they will have the right to move about freely in our ancestral lands and THAT is a permanent danger for our future. A Referendum for Partition/Split up is now the only way. ANY method to Partition/Split up is the only way out of Fulani problem. I pity the Hausa but if they can't or don't want to set themselves free from Fulani masters, too bad. But we can't all become like enslaved Hausa.

People, it is time to search our consciences and ask ourselves if it is right to eat Blood Beef. We claim to be godly, so is it right to eat beef when those who you give your money to are killing people and destroying farms? Several people are calling us to Boycott Beef including Ms Annkio Briggs. Let us stop eating beef at home, in restaurants, at weddings, from Shoprite and all supermarkets. Let caterers stop buying beef and tell customers that it is not right to be cooking and eating blood beef. Let us stop eating meat pie, we can eat goat meat in pie eg Asun pie. We can eat chicken, duck, guinea fowl, goose, turkey, fish, snail, periwinckles, bush meat etc.
|
Part of our solution is to Boycott Beef. To stop eating beef and beef products. No suya, no meat pie, no kpomo, no shaki. But we eat goat and can put it in pie like Asun pie, and eat chicken, snail, fish etc.

We are ALL crying now oh. But we shall overcome. |
My friend, what has happened is unfortunate. Osinbajo a PROFESSOR! and so-called PASTOR is the worst traitor. But now we must look to the future and plan for it. Most Yoruba want their own Oduduwa. It is only very few of them that are helping RUGA but those few are powerful ones among them. With our eyes on the future, the message is for the SW, SS, SE and MB to unite in one purpose under Ohanaeze, Afenifere, PANDEF and Middle Belt Forum who are soon going to have a rally. Let us be united in all of the South and MB and put away our anger from ourselves. NONE of the tribes of South or MB would ever kill and destroy like the Fulani are doing. We, are the INDIGENOUS people of this Nigeria, but Fulani are just a settler people and their cruelties will be stopped. Even some Hausa, because Hausa are indigenous people, are waking up and have seen that their kindness in allowing Fulani to settle has made them to become Almajiris in their own lands, and the settler people, the Fulani have become their rulers. It is all quite pitiful. But let us as South and MB remain united in our purpose. |
WORDSENSEI:Nah wah. Time to boycott beef, Full stop. |
blackboy:I hear you but it's looking like very few people voted for APC. They rigged themselves into power. If land is going to be given for cattle business then indigenous people of Nigeria can ranch their own Muturu cattle in their own lands. Must it just be Fulani? And just White Fulani cattle? Our Muturu cattle has been neglected and we now have the right conditions to bring back our Muturu cattle in our own ancestral lands. |
It is unconstitutional and is akin to conquest to use state power to force Fulani cattle colonies onto unwilling people of the South and Middle Belt, who will of course resist this injustice. The peoples of the South and Middle Belt are indigenous to Nigeria and have their own native cattle, the Muturu cattle of the savannah and forests, it is a dairy breed. The best thing then is for the peoples of the South and Middle Belt themselves to ranch their own Muturu cattle on their ancestral lands. For fairness, justice and thus peaceful coexistence, Fulani who are settlers in Nigeria and not indigenous to this country, must take their White Fulani cattle native to sahel regions to Arewa lands to roam about there. Sambisa Forest has already been established to be an ideal place for Fulani to rear their cattle breeds in the manner they prefer. We must have peace in Nigeria. The indigenous peoples of Nigeria want peace, and for the sake of Nigeria and Africa, the Fulani who are a settler people, should respect the kindness shown to them by indigenous people of Nigeria, and keep to international best practice of relating peacefully with others, by staying in Arewa land with their cattle breed. Peace is what we all need.

Bribecode if/when it becomes Law will definitely help stop corruption. It's the Law that we badly need to change the systems in Nigeria (plus in Africa). |
Freestainworld:That's why as the article says, "Citizen Participation" is key. Europeans participate actively in the governance of their countries and this forces their leaders to work for the public good. They use boycotts, sit ins, mass gatherings etc. We can and must do the same here when we tackle our fear of being killed by police or soldiers if we protest. In any case, we will die anyway if we don't protest when we are sick and have no money or have to go to a primitive hospital. So it's a case of dying (if needs be) for something, or dying for nothing. |
saintjimos:I quite agree. But before unity there must be justice, because, "no justice, no peace" is a true saying. No part of the country should dominate another. All ideas for the arrangement country should be brought out, then the people decide what we want by Referendum. |
engrsyer:Me too! |
IMPORTANCE OF CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN FIXING NIGERIA By Ndidi Uwechue Source: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/04/importance-of-citizen-participation-in-fixing-nigeria/ In the face of all that is ailing Nigeria, It is so much easier to just sit and watch, and do nothing. It is so much easier to just sit and complain, and do nothing. It is so much easier to just sit and dream, and do nothing. It is so much easier to just sit, kneel or prostrate in prayer, and do nothing. HOWEVER it is citizen participation (or lack of), that shapes the current state and the future of any nation, including Nigeria. Clearly Nigeria has reached crisis point. What we, the people do now, or do not do now, will determine the kind of future we will have, and that our children and grandchildren will have. Even though we are from different backgrounds, have different educational standards, have different economic statuses, one major thing connects us all, and that is that we are Nigerians and, therefore, the state of the nation will affect us all one way or another. Citizen participation means that every one of us, even our children, can get involved in doing something that will make the living conditions better for all of us. In a democracy the power to change things is actually more with the people, and less with the politicians. However, most Nigerians do not know this! We think the power is with politicians because we have not been taking citizen participation seriously. But we can change that. Citizen participation gives every individual an opportunity to influence and change political, social, economic and public decisions and allows us to be an important part of the democratic decision-making in Nigeria. By citizen participation the people become part of the governance structure and can through the strength of people power actually direct governance! Nigeria’s democracy is still relatively young and still developing. We now need to add citizen participation into our lives, and this will make us use our power and our responsibility as citizens. There are many ways to effect citizen participation and it involves using some of your time in a cause that will benefit you, your family, your community and your country. Everything needs to be improved so we have a lot of citizen participation to do so that our children and their children can inherit a better country, and have a better quality of life. Our citizen participation does not end at voting for public officers but is an ongoing activity. After elections we then help in the governance of our country by things such as pushing for new laws that will improve our lives and our society, by forming pressure groups, by recalling lawmakers who are inept, by campaigning for policies and services that will make our future better, safer and more secure. We can look around us at our environment and public services to apply our citizen participation for the improvement of our country. We can use social media, communication media eg. WhatsApp, our phone videos and camera, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, the internet, town hall meetings, mass gatherings, etc to assist us in our citizen participation activities. In Nigeria our young democracy was hijacked early on by people who were unpatriotic, who had no concern for the people, but whose aim was to steal public money and spend it on themselves, their families and their friends. Although Nigeria has now become severely disabled by these corrupt leaders (politicians and civil servants) we still have the means to reverse the damage that was done to our people and our nation. However it will take our collective and determined effort through citizen participation. “…Ensuring that government actually works for the public good requires informed, organized, active and peaceful citizen participation. Citizens must, therefore, understand ideas about citizenship, politics and government. They need knowledge to make decisions about policy choices and the proper use of authority, along with the skills to voice their concerns, act collectively and hold public officials (i.e., elected representatives, civil servants, and appointed leaders) accountable. ..” (National Democratic Institute, Washington DC) It has become the norm in Nigeria to talk about the three arms of government. These are the Executive (the Cabinet), the Legislative (the National Assembly), and the Judiciary (the Courts). However, in a properly functioning democracy there should be a fourth arm, and that is the people power through citizen participation activities. In order to fix Nigeria, this fourth arm of governance needs to bring itself out and become properly effective. Elections come around every four years and if the leader is bad too much damage will be done in that time, so voting power is just not powerful enough. This is why citizen participation which is an ongoing people power is essential for creating a pleasant country. Thus, every Nigerian (starting from secondary school age) should regularly contemplate these questions: - What is purpose of the government? - How important are my and others’ human rights? - How satisfied am I with the way the government is working? Every Nigerian (starting from secondary school age) should know at least in principle Clause 14 of the Constitution which states: (1) The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall be a State based on the principles of democracy and social justice. (2) It is hereby, accordingly, declared that: (a) Sovereignty belongs to the people of Nigeria from whom government through this Constitution derives all its powers and authority; (b) The security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government; and (c) The participation by the people in their government shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution. Citizen participation is a pillar of democracy and is necessary for a sustainable democracy. It means citizens performing their social responsibility of participation in governance as part of their civic duties. Citizen participation is both a duty and an honour. Nigeria is at crisis point, and our people are now ready for action through citizen participation. |
