[s] omenka: Whether one Nigeria or one billion Nigeria, it doesnt matter. No one has said you shouldn't live wherever you want to. What I am saying is, STOP COVETING BENUE LANDS. Respect us just as we respect you.
The reason behind communal clashes here and there is because of such covetousness. You dont go around claiming people's lands and expect them to fold their hands and look on without doing nothing. [/s] |

[s] omenka: I didnt understand why the Yorubas were really pissed when some folks started claiming Lagos, calling it no man's land until yesterday when the same people started claiming my state, and to add insult to injury, MY LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.
Someone even went as far as saying my Chairman is Igbo.
It is very disrespectful and annoying honestly.
Imagine the outrage from them when a thread was created the other time about Igbo Muslims. They rained hell on that thread saying NOT A SINGLE IGBO MUSLIM EXISTS.
Yet they are coveting other people's lands.
Very annoying. [/s] |

[s] Cletus77: I know SE/SS are to a large extent politically united, we should learn to say the truth always. There are no indigenous Igbos in Akwa Ibom as someone claimed, and that fake map oilPussy presented, there are no Ekois in Akwa Ibom as well only in Cross River state. I don't know much about Cross River but as for my State Akwa Ibom I can bodly tell you that they're no indigenous igbos. They can have Igbo and Ibom populations in Akwa Ibom and Abia due to business relations and intermarriage between them and that's it. Just as they're a lot of Akwa ibomites in Rivers state due to the regional economic status of Port Harcourt, and Igbos in Lagos, that doesn't give us a bragging right with the natives of the state.
The main languages in Akwa Ibom are Annang, Ibibio, Oron and Obolo(also spoken in Rivers state). The rests are considered dialects of the aforementioned ones but can also choose their status. Ibom languages are mutually intelligible with one another as well as Efik in Cross River state. Although they're various dialects, I think everyone can understand Ibibio
Am proudly an Annang guy [/s] |

[s] hisexcellency34: Prince Tony Momoh, elder statesman and former Minister of Information in this interview with TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI, speaks on Nigeria’s 59th Independence anniversary and other issues of national interests. Excerpts:
As Nigeria marks 59 years of Independence today, how will you describe the journey so far?
We have shown how we cannot grow unless we put development before democracy. We are celebrating democracy, not development. Democracy is a way we have chosen to govern the system, just like choosing other forms of government such as monarchy, military rule and so on. There is nowhere in Nigeria where there is democracy without development. Anywhere you have recurrent overshadowing capital, then it is important to go back to the drawing board. Recurrent should not be more than 20 to 25 per cent.
What about threat from Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which has threatened to secede owing to alleged marginalisation of Igbos?
Talk is cheap. Who told you they went to Japan to embarrass the President? I saw a report by Nnamdi Kanu that they have surrounded Buhari’s hotel and he can’t come out, did he not come out? Why can’t IPOB arrest him as they have threatened? Is it not the same Kanu that said Buhari is Jubril of Sudan? IPOB is a group of agitators who are trying to seek succour for their own people and that is legitimate as long as it is through due process. If it is not through due process, then they have the laws of Nigeria to face.
Some are asking President Buhari to dialogue with Nnamdi Kanu same way former President Olusegun Obasanjo did with Asari Dokubo during the period of unrest in Niger Delta region. Are you in support of this move?
When Asari Dokubo accepted Obasanjo’s invitation and came to Aso Villa, what happened to him? He was detained! Go and find out. If today, Buhari calls Nnamdi Kanu and says ‘come and dialogue with me’, it’s an approach. Dialogue is always better but the fact is, how do you call someone to come and dialogue with you when the person said you are dead and you don’t exist?
What is the way forward?
The way forward is peace. Anybody calling for war will see the consequence of war. War never solves any problem. Rather, it creates more problems.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Has Better Days Ahead- Tinubu by meccuno: 12:54pm On Oct 02, 2019 |
[s] nairapark: ALL Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday reflected on Nigeria’s journey as an independent nation and predicted a better future. The one-time Lagos governor said: “What Nigeria overcame in the past has given us the confidence and courage to believe that we can achieve even more.”
His reflections were contained in his goodwill message to the nation on its 59th Independence Anniversary. He said Nigeria has the wherewithal for its citizens to enjoy a democratic, prosperous and just existence.
The message, titled: “Nigeria @ 59: What we’ve overcome gives us confidence in a better future”, was released yesterday by his Media Office.
It reads: “Today we celebrate the 59th birthday of our beloved nation. We stand today with our feet planted firmly in the present but with our gaze both on the past and toward our future. Looking back at the last 59 years, we have faced steep challenges yet have marked great progress nonetheless.
“What we have overcome in the past gives us the confidence and courage to believe that we can achieve even more as we cast our eyes to the future.
“This day that we mark is truly a day to celebrate the independence of a nation of resilient, strong and industrious people who have decided to join together in common purpose that each of us may enjoy a democratic prosperous and just existence.
“As Nigerians, let us recommit our energies to building a better Nigeria and rededicate ourselves to the vision of our nationalists who saw greatness in this country and worked assiduously to advance it.
“The journey to our greater destiny has begun and I enjoin you all to support one another and President Buhari’s administration in this journey. I ask you all to remain committed to our highest national purpose so that we may continue to strengthen our national institutions and our very country.
“I congratulate all Nigerians on this 59th Independence Anniversary and urge you all to come along in the march to the Next Level.”

FiftyFifty: Lol This senile is making my day. The more you open that hole beneath your nose the more you prove to me that nothing is as dangerous as sincere ignorance. So in your myopic mind, the 1999 Constitution didn't give Governors any role to develop their states? I laugh in many languages... You people don't fail to amaze me. You are a people that gives Nigeriaa bad name all over the world. You started a war you knew you couldn't finish and you're now crying upandan on marginalisation. Instead of you to stop and develop your erosion ladden tiny enclave you're being hostile to your host communities. You need Nigeria more than Nigeria needs you but you keep wailing. An Ibo man will rather build a house in the North than in Ibo tiny land for fear of being killed by his kinsmen (village people). The entire SE is not up to one small in the North and more than 70% of SE is erosion ladden. Borno state alone is 16 times bigger than the entire SE, I hope you know that. Show me one Ibo man dead or alive that is considered by Ibos as a leader. If doing drugs, 419, baby factory, and other criminalities is prosperity in your deluded wap logic then I rather remain poor. How can Ibo have the guts, the impetus and the audacity to be spitting this balderdash is beyond me. You're irredeamably clueless young boy or as I earlier said you must be high on Aba weed or suffering from incurable amnesia or both. Sardauna remain greater than any Ibo man/woman dead or alive. Is shoe shining or whatever you called it not better than drugs, 419, cultism, among others? You must be high on Aba weed to type that balderdash. Which glory did you bring to this nation? Have you ever set foot outside Nigeria and see how Nigerians are treated due to one good-for-nothing tribe? I know an Ibo man who changed his name to Jibrin, he spent want to be identified with his tribe. What a shame! Your ranting will not change the fact that Sardauna, Sir Ahmadu Bello is greater than any Ibo man/woman dead or alive. It's an abomination to even compare Sardauna to an Ibo man. You shamelessly brought "achievements" in support as if we all don't know how Ibos pay their ways to Super Eagles with no commiserate result. Keep wallowing in a state of confusion like a headless chicken that you and your folks are. The tribe on a dead sentence from Africa, Euarope, Asia and Americas is the one bragging shamelessly. Ibo -I Before Others- you people that can't go and "develop" your states for fear of village people are here ranting. Show me one Ibo leader accepted as such by the majority of Ibo people. Show me one, you slowpoke. continue to ravel in your idiocy. why would i be angry with someone who is way beneath me. if a Yoruba man can talk about Awolowo i would give him maximum respect no matter the friction that exist between the Igbos and Yoruba's which is just supremacy battle. His achievement speaks volumes and is a great leader in his own rights. how you even summon the courage to even compare your sorry self to the Igbos is what amazes me. why would i be angry with someone who has everything cut out for him and pampered like an over grown buffoon. The average Northerner has it going very easy for them. You lots should have been the best ethnic group with the way the F.G gives you enormous subsidies on everything using federal character and quota system. but alas, who have chosen to be a burden on your selves and the entire country. Amuneke was African best did he pay for it? Kanu was Africa best did he pay for it? chioma Ajunwa won GOLD for Nigeria, did she pay for it? we cant develop our states because the F.G which your Almijiri brothers have occupied bereft of any iota of sense and exposure have decided that whatever development must come must either be in the SW or North. if you are familiar with the 1999 constitution you wold be aware that all projects handled are to be done exclusively by the federal Government. dude, there is no comparison between us. in a million years and with a thousand policies against us by your people we would always succeed and multiply. please and please again. we are not your mate. you might hold unto power which was even done for you by the British because they know you lack the intellectual capacity to do so. You can never be better than us in a free and fair country i can assure you that. insult and call Igbos names we will always be better than you. |

Do you know that Nigerians are now asked by security personnel abroad about their tribe? No thanks to the Ibos; the drug pushers, armed robbers, kidnappers, cultists, scammers, name it. There is a huge difference between South and South East, get this straight to your empty skull. Ibos aren't welcomed in Lagos so also Port Harcourt so which South are you talking about? You may be suffering from selective amnesia, I see. Sardauna is greater than any Ibo man/woman dead or alive, kiss the naked truth boy. I hate to see you citing NOI as a reference. In saner climes, that cantankerous kleptomaniac would have since been put behind the bar where she rightly belongs. When it comes to leadership, Ibos can't talk. Show me one leader in the history of Ibos; is it Azikiwe the unity beger or Ojukwu the boastful coward, who after all his gragra couldn't win even a Senatorial seat? Ibos are cursed, nothing good will come out of that God God-forsaken tribe.
What was Sardauna's achievements as premier of the North? This boy must be under the influence... I do not blame you. You're Ibo (I Before Others) after all. this slowpoke thinks the Igbos are his mates. What even gives you the belief that a region filled with irredeemable illiterates and peadophiles can match up to the Igbos? I don't blame you. If not for the British you probably would have ended up shining shoes or trekking with a cow from Kano to Lagos after having bouts of sex the cow. Is Abacha an Igbo man who looted the country dry the biggest thief in the history of Nigeria? Or is it Babangida who a coupist destroyed the foundation of this country with connivance with the IMF? Or is it shagari who an ordinary primary school teacher bereft of ideas as a president Chase ghanians away in the famous Ghana must go saga with umaru dikko one of the most corrupt criminals in that era? Brought back in a crate by mossad?Abdusalami who bought a watch of 25 million back then in 1999? The Northerners are lazy people who cannot earn a honest living without the support of government. How is fvcks sake are you comparing Igbos with your sorry Arse? Are you demented or intentionally stvpid what basis are we comparing an Igbo man with a Northerner? In sports you idiots have never achieved nothing. Academics what exactly have you done? Sciences what? Business what? I am proudly Igbo and I don't give a fvck what you think. You can make fun of my tribe saying all sorts but where the line is drawn when. You compare an massively uneducated North to the Igbos. Nnamdi Azikwe had his PHD in the 50s when your stvpid Bello was learning how to speak English. Ojukwu you berate went to Oxford and came back with a master's degree in history. Please who is ahmadu Bello?? The glory we have brought to this nation surpasses all that which you think is negative. Please respect those who are greater than you in every aspect. [s] Momfa: Yahoo Yahoo Boys committing cyber crimes and now under EFCC surveillance are in for more trouble as the Korean ambassador to Nigeria, Lee In Tae, promised more support to the commission.
Lee said the Korean government will help the commission in the area of cyber intelligence and forensic capacity building.
Tae made the pledge as he led a Korean delegation that comprised the director of the Korean Cultural Center, Abuja, Lee Jin Su on a on duty tour at the EFCC Headquarters, Jabi Abuja, where Korean forensic experts are currently training officials of the Commission on forensic technology.
The ambassador expressed satisfaction with the EFCC’s state-of-the-art Forensic Laboratory Directorate, and expressed confidence that the Commission will drastically reduce corruption and cyber crimes in the country with the quality of technology it has in the directorate.
“With you, I see a Nigeria that will be free of crimes,” Tae said.
The Acting Chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Magu, who was delighted with the visit, charged the Korean ambassador to assist the Commission the more in the fight against corruption and cybercrimes by affording more training opportunities to the commission.
Magu was confident that collaboration with the Korean government would further strengthen the EFCC’s capacity in the fight against corruption.
The EFCC boss noted that capacity building was key in producing well equipped staff of the Commission who would be able to stay ahead of fraudsters.
He expressed gratitude for the current training opportunity from the Korean government to EFCC officials and prayed for more of such opportunities.
“We appreciate your visit and we want to be introduced to more opportunities to enable the Commission continue to be in the lead of the fight against corruption, even if it means acquiring sophisticated and updated equipment that will aid our anti-graft fight, we will be glad to receive it,” Magu said.
