This makes sense but trust me the British and European countries are barely responsible for the problems facing Africa .

There are many tribes and ethnicity across Africa, every tribe can't have their country hence the Integration of tribes into a structural country is only logical .

Besides, shall we conjecture less on whom to blame and channel focus on the reason we are still in this current position, the west have tampered the global economy making it difficult for African countries to emerge as economic strongholds, laughable enough, African leaders are not concerned about the economy whatsoever, all they care for is their pockets .

Our problem is our leaders, get sensible leaders and watch calls for disintegration reduced .
My friend you need to study more. if you know what these people did, you will hate whites for the rest of your life. unless you do not care about Africans. now let me ask you a question. These white people are much more advanced than we are and have been in a civilization for hundreds of years. why do you think that most European countries are homogenous? why cant france and england be one country? why cant germany and austria and switzerland be one country? because these are whites yes but they are distinct from each other. yes the African leaders are corrupt. but the ones that were not corrupt what happened to them like Thomas sankara? he was assasinated. now about your claim about looking for who to blame,i believe you are from the South. i am igbo. there are ways we behave as Igbo people which may loo offensive to other ethnic group but that is the way GOD created us. when others feel we have to be loyal in servitude that is complete nonesense. i do not know where you are from exactly but Igbos are NATION. i feel upset and sad that most educated southerners are not seeing the bigger picture. Nigeria cannot work even in a 100 years. our TALENTS and gifts are being stifled by the Northerners who feel that they are born to rule but have not put the work. they refused to o to school, they refuse to empower their people and at the end of the day WE all suffer for their non chalance atttude. let everyone go their seperate ways or agree on out own terms that we CHOOSE to be in the same entity. what we have is not a Nation but a PRISON. IF WE KEEP BELIEVING THAT THINGS ARE ALRIGHT THEY ARE NOT. WE ALWAYS RUN AWAY FROM DISCUSSING OUR FUTURE UNTIL THAT CRISIS THATWE ARE AVOIDING WILL BLOW UP IN OUR FACE AFRICA CANNOT BE GREAT IN ARTIFICIAL BORDERS. my people never agreed to be Nigerians it was forced. for once in our lives can we actually do things for our selves?? the WHITE MAN ISAND CAN NEVER BE GOD. THE ONLY REASON WE HAVE NIGERIA IS BECAUSE OF OUR OIL. BUT ONE DAY THE DAYS OF RECONING WOULD BE AT HAND.

Forget the British, they have left us for a while and it's high time we acknowledge that our current position is as a result of our doings and undoings .

They left us and 7 years later we were fighting ourselves, did the British do that ?
We cannot forget what they did. They knew that putting different tribes in one entity leads to chaos because there is no way a white man would want a black man to succeed because they think we are inferior. There is no solution other than SEPERATION. we have different ideologies and cultural values. we are better of as friends from afar. its not hate but just natural human characteristics. no tribe or ethnic group would love to see their people flourish and grow. no one wants to be enslaved in another tribes culture or way of life. we were not created to be slaves to anyone of servitude to those who feel they are superior. that is the way forward. The british knew that if the groupings were with those who have similar cuture and speak with one voice how would they steal our resources to build their country?

After spending about 4 months in Canada the little girl from Nigeria asked the mum, “mummy when will NEPA take the light”?
That is the extent of damage the Nigeria system has caused us, making us see the abnormal as the normal. It is the abnormal system that will make you say “as a Nigerian you can survive in any situation”.
The question is were you made to survive such situations when others have long found a positive way out of that situation? They don’t get used to the problem or situation like we do in Nigeria rather they speak up and find solutions. They don’t accept fish from politicians rather they creat their own pond were they can fish, by so doing no thug or tout decide their future.
We go to bed with the mentality that we can survive in any situation. A distance of about 45minutes will be travelled for over 2hours because of bad roads yet we will smile and beat our chest that yes we survived it. In the face of police brutality you will hear someone say “what can we do” and everyone will walk passed minding his business not thinking who would be the next.
The real enemies of Nigeria are those in power who have decided to impoverished the masses and refused to give us amenities yet they take vacation in another man’s land.
To many Nigerians (both elites and all) power outage is normal but to that child by now have spent more than a year in Canada, it’s absurd. She has to be apologized to if there’s power outage without first informing her.
We keep telling ourselves Nigeria will be great again but after that we go back to our beds with our wives and girlfriends to sleep. Is that how It’s going to be great again? We have faith that one day we shall overcome but as a nation are we truly sincere to that faith? A Police officer when confronted about bribe, he will ask you “oga Na me spoil Nigeria? Is that how it will be great? When you tell a lagosian to stop dumping refuse indiscriminately he’ll tell you “Na only me dirty Lagos?” Yet they keep shouting “eko oni ba je” when it has already ba je years ago.
We need to wake up from our comfort zone, shouting Nigeria will be great again is not enough. We the citizens have tried even in the face of negative policies but let us keep up the good work. The evil leaders will continue to prevail only when the good men refuse to speak up. Nigeria is ours and we shall reclaim it.
Your loyalty and patriotism should be to Nigeria society and not the president. You can be more patriotic than the President.

osifoblessingme:
Over the weekend, Nollywood actress and comedienne, Etinosa Idemudia sparked outrage online after she used the bible as her ashtray while smoking.

She even went on to describe Provers 22:6 which reads “train up a child when he is young and when he is old he will not depart from it” as a scam, and stated that "no one should blame her mother as she is still departing even though she was trained and retrained.”

She also took to social media to threaten to that she will use the Holy Quran as an ashtray.

However, her plan to ridicule the Quran has stirred reaction from the Chief Imam of Ansar-Ud-Deen, Abdulrahman Ahmad who condemned the actress’ actions, saying there are consequences for any of these actions.

The popular Islamic Scholar was quoted on Opera News as saying:

“It is a pity for us as a people and a country that we are where we are today. I don’t like to comment on issues like this because I think it is below the dignitary of religious people and those with conscience and goodwill to be commenting on issues like this. More or less, individuals are trying to acquire fame and we should not help them. Otherwise, this issue should not be discussed at all; it is bad news. It is a sad commentary. It questions our collective morality; why should we be discussing issues like this and celebrating it; popularizing a wayward individual.

Whether it is the Bible, the Quran or any other holy book; should not popularize or sensationalize it. Whether something happens to them-(the actor) or not.

“I condemn, without any reservation anyone who desecrates the Bible as much as I condemn anyone who attempts to desecrate the Quran. It isn’t something that we should be discussing. We should not even look at it from the point of view of- ‘if something is going to happen to her or not’. That someone dared to insult and violate the religious sensibility of others is condemnable. It is worse than hate speech because it could set the nation in tune reaction . It could be destabilizing. It is not part of anybody’s freedom to insult the sensibility either cultural or religion of others.

“We should not to give prominence to this waywardness. It is a collective insult on Nigerians as a deeply religious community. I condemn whoever desecrates the Bible and Quran. There are consequences for any of these actions. If the law enforcement agencies don’t act on unwarranted provocation; then they should also not act when the repercussions start to come. This is my opinion.

I'm just saying what makes sense and what doesnt. Didnt you see the two bodies that were burnt in back of the patrol van who the police say are their men? The only way IPOB could have killed two Police men and burnt them in the back of the van if the police men were already dead and they drove the van to road and set it on fire

But that's not what the Police said. The Police said they went to the Lawyers house to arrest him and IPOB attacked them and set the patrol van on fire and killed two police men. That story does not tally with the picture circulating
I get you. I can post the videos of these same Police men killing the students in that state by the orders of the wife of the governor. I can also post videos of the security forces killing these IPOB guys in Abia state. I can also post videos of security forces killing Shiite protesters in Abuja. And they all denied it. Since when has the police ever spoken the truth before? And worse of all during this government.

so what is the evidence that the IPOB dudes killed those unidentified people at the back of the van? You have been on all threads on this topic but no that is not enough. Your hate will make you die of HBP and you will not be missed.

Ndigbo have made it clear that:

IPOB don't represent the views and aspirations of our people. They were not elected by anyone in Igboland and therefore acted alone.
The official mouthpiece of the Igbo people are the Ohaneze Ndigbo, SE Governors forum, Ohaneze Youth, Aka Ikenga, IYC, IEF, Council of Obi's/Eze's, Igbo Women Leaders, Igbo Traders Union, Igbo members in the Senate and House of Representative, Nzuko Igbo, IWC representing diasporan Igbos, and other regional socio-cultural groups in Igbo areas of the SE/SS/MB.

As far as Ndigbo are concerned, IPOB are a separatist group, headed by some miscreants. The leadership of this group are domiciled overseas while the local footsoldiers are illiterates and never do wells hustling in their respective localities.

The recent killings of police men at Oraifite the hometown of Barr Ejiofor ( Kanu's Lawyer) was never the handiwork of innocent and law abiding Igbo villagers. The troublemakers know themselves and the police should not hesitate to bring them to book.

The general public, police, army and other law enforcement agencies should take note!

Now I understand what happened. I have been wondering about the Police version of events, that they went to arrest Ifeanyi Ejiofor and IPOB attacked them with rifles machete and burnt their patrol van and killed two Police men

I wondered how the same patrol van ended up burnt in the middle of the road and why the so called 'police men' did not jump out of the back of the burning vehicle. How do you burn someone in the back of a patrol van?

IPOB's version makes far more sense. They invaded the home of IPOB Lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, just like they invaded Nnamdi Kanu's home. They killed two unarmed people and put them in the back of the patrol van. The now doused the place with petrol and left. But the fire trailed them, probably due to leakage from whatever they used in carrying the petrol. The Patrol van caught fire and they all ran away leaving the two people they had murdered to burn in the back of the van

It is these two people they now claim are Police men murdered by IPOB

Now it all makes sense
so you are now Sherlock Holmes. grin

Lol! This one you're attacking me Rekhina. You even called me Meleszenawi.
How I wish you know how I despise that personae you just referred me to. Meles and his other monickers such as Osagyefo, Nnewisuper etc are non-Igbos who tries to create imaginary division among my people. An agenda I have overtime challenged, fought against since I joined nairaland and won't stop doing.

I don't understand why any Igbo with divergent views towards IPOB is seen as an enemy or saboteur.
Is it because I warned IPOB members not to involve Ndigbo in their macabre dance? Right from when IPOB gained prominence in 2014, till now I have always spoken against their approach as well as their leadership style. I don't mince words. Despite my criticisms I don't in total dismiss other issues that affect us. IPOB for me arouse as a result of years of neglect, injustice and marginalization against our people. Every Igbo be it young or old, have in one way other suffered from this. We wear the shoes and we know how it pinches. So I can never throw away the baby with the bath water. Hope you understand!

However, because we are a peace loving ethnic group, scatered in all parts of this country, we are at at much disadvantage to tow the violent stance championed by many zionist in IPOB. This is where I'm against Nnamdi Kanu and his boys. We are dispersed with people and investments everywhere and none of them understands the loses that we will incur in an event if a major conflict.
We also fought a civil war in the past and most people still use that to judge us despite our commitment to nation building and coming again to seek for secession a second time will not be favourable to us.
I as well as many folks have warned IPOB to calm their hate speeches, to dynamics of the people you say you're fighting for and use diplomacy to get what you want. IPOB don't understand Ndigbo, they don't understand were we are coming from and where we want to head to. The leadership are just some intellectually low people who are lack charisma. You don't expect such people to lead a nation of intelligent people, else they push us to the cliff with their ideologies.
I don't care how long it takes, but to jaw-jaw is better than to war-war. Before IPOB arouse we had a sovereign National Conference where elected Igbo representative joined other ethnicities to table our demands for a better Nigeria.
The Igbo people are not the only ones feeling the stagnancy of this country? Everyone ethnic group does. As a matte of fact the major division in Nigeria is a problem of the rich/poor class on one hand and tribalism/religion on another hand. This is why rather than seek for secession, we should channel our voices into agitating for restructuring or any name you want to call it.
[/s] so what approach hve you taken your self? There is no need for you to spoil A movement that is supported by a vast majority of people when you yourself is doing absolutely nothing.
