It's only a coward that would keep repeating the word from the first page to the last. All I read is coward from a people who have never in their history shown bravery at any point. Ever their soldiers are not exempted. grin
Travel › Re: FAAN Bans Uber, Bolt And Others From Lagos Airport, Places Heavy Fine by meccuno: 9:25pm On Dec 10, 2019
grandstar:
As much as we love Uber's cheap prices, it is actually very unfair competition.

Uber rides are worryingly cheap and despite that, the drivers are still charged a commission. It doesn't add up.

It only adds up when you take a look look at Uber's balance sheet and see that it makes losses of up to $800m in some quarters. That means it is simply surviving off investors' funds. It has a very high burn rate. I don't see how it can ever be profitable. Taxi drivers, not just in Nigeria but in other parts of the world are not really competing against another taxi operator but against Uber's financier's funds. Taxi rides needs to be priced at a rate they can make money.

I feel at the end of the day, ride-hailing apps should steer clear of running a cab service, but instead act as an intermediary linking taxis with customers and in exchange, receive a commission or earn money from advertising.

My $800m loss is even conservative when you read the article in the link below. It talks about a staggering $5.2bn loss in a quarter

Do you know what France does to its former colonies? You need to read what they do to them. A lady who exposed their scams lost her job recently. Shame. Those countries need to stand up for themselves and resist the gross exploitation.
Yes DR chimbobori.FRANCE makes 500 billion dollars from its french colonies. that being said,we cannot shout because of the speck in another persons eyes while we have logs in ours.

Politics › Re: IPOB In Nigeria Flays Attack On Amaechi By Thier Colleagues In Spain by meccuno: 10:38pm On Dec 09, 2019

stopthecycle:
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Nigeria has condemned the recent attack meted on the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi by members of the IPOB branch in Spain, noting that such action negates the Igbo brotherhood in Nigeria.
Amaechi was attacked by a group of IPOB members at the weekend, while attending a climate change conference in Madrid, Spain, and the spokesman, Mr. Emma Powerful, said they acted on the instruction of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to attack any Nigerian leader in foreign land.
But the attack has generated angry reaction from IPOB in Nigeria, who believe such action could be detrimental to the igbo interests in Rivers and other South-South states, given the fact that “Amaechi is our brother, though from Ikwere land in Rivers state”.
A statement made available to Newsmen by the IPOB coordinators in Nigeria including Chief Chukwudi Michael Nwachukwu and Comrade Nduka Amarachukwu Udoji, warned against “actions that could put sword on the love, unity and brotherliness that bind Igbos together”.
They advised Nnamdi Kanu  and his supporters in the Diaspora not to cause problems for the Igbos in Rivers and in the South-South.
“Rotimi Amaechi is our brother because the Ikwere people in Rivers state and the larger Igbo entity in the South have common ancestral affinity.
“Instead of embarrassing him, we should instead support him because he has contributed immensely to the development of our people as former Speaker, governor and now Minister, we should be proud of he is doing for the Iigbo interest in Nigeria.
“The Igbos have strong connection with our brothers and sisters in Ikwere land in Rivers state through inter-marriages and other relationship, so nothing should be done in anger to jeopardise such inter-racial harmony”, the statement stressed.

My guy, you're thinking for the igbos, they are not capable of thinking for themselves; their only interest is to destroy the Yorubas, they've been at it since 1979 without success!!!
Somehow you had to sneak Igbos into your predicament. Give me one reason why you and the person you quoted are not mad.

“We are saying to the soldiers of Nigeria, we will never spare those fighting people practicing the religion of Allah. Because of that we shall attack your barracks, wallahi we shall block you on your roads. The story is, what you hear is not what you see; what lies ahead is tougher and uglier than this, Allahu Akbar,” he said.

Who is holding the northerners from practicing their religion? They have sharia or is there something i am missing? undecided
They want to Islamise the whole country.
