A woman has taken to Facebook to accuse her husband - a pastor - of domestic violence.

The woman claimed she's been in an abusive marriage for the past 8 years. She claimed her husband beats her all the time and recently stripped her naked in front of their kids and neighbours. This, she says, is what broke the camel's back.

Erdoo Apollos Davis shared her story on Facebook, writing:

Yes I think this is just the right time to say this...I have been married for the past eight now getting to nine years to a very abusive man,I have tried all I could to make my marriage work but it kept getting worse by the day...he beats me in the presence of his mother,brother my sisters and the last that broke the Carmel's back was to beat me and strip me naked before my children and neighbours. I guess you are all asking what would have warranted that right? Well then let me tell you because i bought a sim card without his permission...are you all surprised...he accuses me of infidelity and does not trust me even though me married me as a virgin. The Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE) has signed an agreement to concession terminal ‘B’ of the Warri Old Port to Ocean and Cargo Terminal Services Limited.

According to a statement signed by Alex Okoh, BPE director general on Tuesday, the concessionaire emerged the preferred bidder after submitting a technical and financial bid of $100.78 million.

“The NCP at its meeting held at its meeting held on 12 June 2018, approved the technical bid and the Finacial bid of $100,782,147.53 submitted by Ocean and Cargo Terminals Services Limited which emerged as the preferred bidder for the Terminal B Warri Old Port,” the statement read.

“Upon completion of the rehabilitation and reconstruction works, there was a need to concession the terminal to a private operator who would be responsible for the operation of the terminal and carrying out further development of its facilities in line with the Ports Concession Programme.

“Following the approval by the National Council on Privatisation (NCP), advertisements inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from prospective concessionaires for the concession of the terminal were carried out by the Bureau.


“At the closing date for submission, 13 EOIs were received and subsequently evaluated. After the evaluation, seven firms achieved the minimum qualification mark and were prequalified for issuance of Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Information Memorandum.”

Speaking on the objective of the concession, Okoh said it will increase the Nigerian port efficiency, service delivery, reduction of cost of shipping and clearing of goods at the port across the country.

He urged the concessionaire to focus on the objectives as it performs the business, adding that as the federal government expects adherence to the terms of the concession agreements.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has advised women not to allow anyone stop them from considering having a body makeover. In a new vlog she shared on her Youtube channel, Toke who had her body, boobs and butt done last year, said people should not be talked out of getting their body done based on religious belief because it is the same God that gave scientists the brain to innovate phones, sim cards and others is the same one that has given doctors the knowledge to help men and women fix their bodies.


The 34-year-old who is also an author, said everyone suffers from self esteem issues and no one should be judged if they decide to do something about an uncomfortable part of their body

“This year, I am going to speak to those people who might be going through a phase in their life right now where they’re feeling shamed as a result of things they’ve done at some point in the past or who are not necessarily bold enough to take the step and own certain things. Everyone has self esteem issues. Everyone has one or two things that they are not proud about. If we are open to the invention of technology, why are we not open to the invention of medical science?

“If you are someone who wants to get a boob job for yourself, if you want to get any part of your body enhanced, don’t let anybody shame you for making those choices. It is the same God that gave the scientist the brain to invent certain things like phones, sim cards, that gave doctors the brain to find new ways to make the body better” Toke said

An overzealous follower of Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram account to say a prayer for her that she will get back with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, because it is "un-African to be a single parent". But Tonto didn't appreciate the prayer and she replied.

@tobi_nextlevel took to the comment section of a post shared by Tonto to write: "How I wish you and Daddy King can forget your difference and reunite again."

Tonto quickly forbade the prayer, writing in all caps: "MAY GOD FORBID SUCH A PRAYER IJN."

She added: "Thanks for the evil wishes, I know you intended well."

But the follower maintained his stance and told Tonto that "all African women need a man in their life" because "it is not our thing in black race to live a life of single parent."

But Tonto wouldn't budge and she insisted that the prayer was an evil one and whatsoever prayer dished out this year which isn't in her favour, she has to forbid and cast out.

Photos of the badly battered body of a housegirl is going viral online and has enraged everyone who saw the photo.

According to reports, the injury on the girls body was inflicted by her employer because she stole the woman's baby's milk.

The injured girl, who is reportedly less than 10 years old, is a househelp. Her skin was slashed badly by her madam for the alleged theft, leaving her bleeding profusely.



The girl's madam is reportedly now in custody in Sanyo police station, Ibadan, while the little girl has been taken to the hospital to have her injuries treated.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin zonal Office has arraigned Momojimoh Abdumalik, on a one-count charge bothering on fraud.


Abdumalik was made to appear before Justice Abdu Dogo of the Federal High Court, Akure, Ondo State.

The accused was said to be a cashier with First Bank of Nigeria, and alleged to have fraudulently withdrawn the sum of N6, 963,929 from the Ondo State Revenue Collection account with the bank.


EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade said this in a statement in Abuja.

Orilade said the charge reads: “That you Momojimoh Abdulmalik while being a cashier in First Bank Plc, Owo Branch, between January to July 2018 in Owo, Ondo State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court did fraudulently withdraw the aggregate sum of N6, 963,929.61 only from Ondo State Revenue collection account domicile at First Bank Plc, Owo Branch, thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 390(6) of the Criminal Code Act CAP C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004”.

When the charge was read, however, Abdumalik pleaded not guilty.


It was on this premise that the prosecuting counsel, Immaculate Elody, prayed the court to fix a date for trial.

But the defence counsel, Idedayo Olanipekun, informed the court that he had filed an application for bail before the court.

He pleaded with the court to grant his client bail as he was a first time offender and has been granted administrative bail by the EFCC.

Justice Abdu Dogo after listening to both counsel, adjourned to January 17, for “ruling on bail application” and ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody.

Yo've been robbed.

The official of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mustapha Adekunle aka Sego, who has been declared wanted in connection with the stabbing of NURTW chieftain, Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo, has broken his silence.



Recall that on Tuesday Januay 8th, the APC governorship raly in Lagos state was disrupted by thugs who attacked themselves at the rally. The Lagos state police command released a statement later that day accusing Adekunle of being the one who caused the disruption at the rally.



However, in a new interview with The Nation, Sego denied the allegation of disrupting the rally or stabbing MC Oluomo. He challeneged the police to provide a video that captured him stabbing Oluomo.

“

Whoever has any videotape of Sego unleashing mayhem on people should let the world see it. Whosoever has any evidence against Sego should come forward with it. That’s what I want.

“Anybody can fight for his right with his mouth by speaking against what he feels is not right. Besides, employing the use of a weapon is against the law and nobody on Tuesday can say he or she saw me with any weapon. For emphasis, I did not hold any weapon on that day. I only spoke against what is not right. I went to the rally as a member of Team Lagos and not on behalf of the union. I have been a party member since 1999 and we have been in Team Lagos since then.

“Go and ask Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, Oba Demola Elegushi, APC state Chairman Tunde Balogun and King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal what Team Lagos stands for. I was at the rally under the banner of Team Lagos. Agbede came under the banner of the union (NURTW).”

Also speaking, another member of NURTW, Semiu Omosansan, accused the police of being biased and wanting to frame Sego up. According to Omosansan, Sego was not in the place where MC Oluomo was stabbed at the rally.

“Adekunle Mustapha (Sego) was not at the place where union’s state Treasurer Musiliu Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo) was stabbed. The incident occurred on the stage where K1 (Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe) was performing and he is alive to bear witness that Sego was nowhere close to the stage. This is not the first time MC Oluomo and Sego will attend APC rally as party members and such unfortunate incident has never happened until the state Chairman (Tajudeen Agbede) and his boys decided to attend last Tuesday’s event.

One of Sego’s boys was killed during the violence. Why is Sego accused of being responsible for that? We are yet to understand the reason to declare him wanted. MC Oluomo was stabbed in the presence of Agbede Tajudeen, NURTW chairman in Idumota Azeez Lawal (aka Kunle Poly) and others. The police should quiz the two (Agbede and Lawal). Agbede even lied that he took MC Oluomo to the hospital, which is not true.

“In a situation like this, we expect that the Commissioner of Police will carry out thorough and unbiased investigations. The police are the custodian of law. We still have huge faith and belief in the Force that it will always do the right thing. We implore the CP to get his facts right.” he said

The Lagos state police command spokesperson, Chike Oti, however, says their is a video of Sego attacking people at the rally.

“

This matter is not debatable, it is on camera. Sego was caught on camera unleashing violence on people. That is the reason he was declared wanted. It is not a case of peddling falsehood or perception, it is about reality. Our declaration of Sego wanted still stands. Whatever anybody has to say on the matter, such a person should come to the police. You do not resort to violence to resolve issues.” he said

Masked persons suspected to be policemen have reportedly stormed the Police Clinic in Garki, Abuja, whisking away embattled Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye.

He was believed to have been taken to Lokoja, Kogi State, for interrogation over the alleged shooting of one Sgt. Danjuma Aliu by suspected political thugs.

A close associate of the Kogi senator confirmed this to our Correspondent.

Our correspondent learnt that the evacuation of the lawmaker was carried out around 2:15 pm Friday in commando style.

Melaye, who has been having a running battle with the Force, was rushed to the clinic for medical attention after he slumped last Friday.

Before he was moved to the clinic after slumping, the lawmaker had barricaded himself in his house in Maitama, Abuja, for eight days, vowing never to give himself up for arrest.

The Force PPRO at Force Headquarters, Abuja, Jimoh Moshood, promised to get back to our reporter when he was called for confirmation of the news.

The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, has called on Nigerians not to give one vote to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections.

Speaking during the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection campaign organisation on Monday in Abuja, Amaechi, who doubles as the Director-General of the council, vowed that the opposition party will not have peace.

He added that the APC will campaign for the presidential seat based on issues rather than on personality attacks.

Amaechi’s loyalty to President Buhari is in doubt after an audio recording was released by the opposition PDP in which he was saying Nigerians were hungry and poverty has been growing under Buhari’s government..

However, the minister assured Nigerians that the President’s next four years will be different from the 16 years of the PDP.

“I was in the PDP, the slogan was ‘Share the money.’ But here we are not sharing money. And because we are not sharing money they are saying vote buying. Because they ran election with government money, eating, buying cars with government money and nobody cared.

“I appeal to Nigerians; don’t give one vote to the PDP, they are hungry, they can’t stand poverty, they can’t stand not touching government money. Where money is given for prayers in Nigeria, I can pray in my church, nobody is giving me money to go and pray.

“We are no longer stealing money. PDP stole the money meant to feed Nigerians and until they return it, they will not have peace.

“PDP has nothing to say to Nigerians. Our campaign is going to be issues based. We are determined to save Nigerians.

“The President said he will fight corruption; that he is doing. We met a tattered economy that if we did nothing, Nigeria would be at a mess. But today the economy has been growing.

“In fixing the economy we promised infrastructural development. When I took over as Minister of Transportation, GE approached me and said we have approached different governments for 11 years to allow us to take over the rail with our own money but nobody agreed, this government agreed,” he said.

Amaechi told the gathering that before March this year, his ministry will sign a formal agreement of concession to a consortium that will take over Nigeria’s entire narrow gauge rail line and run it.

On why Nigerians should re-elect Mr. Buhari for second term, Mr. Amaechi said the change promised by the APC cannot be completed in four years.

“Anybody that says we can do so in four years must be a magician. What we are pleading with Nigerians for is another four years to consolidate on what we have started,” he said.
