Mavin Records boss, Michael Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy, speaks on his marital status.

In an exclusive telephone chat with Punch Saturday Beats, the ‘Dorobucci’ crooner noted that though he is in a relationship at the moment, he is not in a hurry to get married.

He said,

“I don’t bring up issues about my relationship status on purpose. People always talk about it.

“It is not difficult to find a wife; there are many beautiful women out there. It is not like I am ready; I am not the perfect version of what I would like to be to my wife and family.

“I want to work on myself until I am ready. By the time I am ready, if someone still wants to be with me, that would be great.

“It is not like I am looking for a wife and cannot find one. There are lots of nice and beautiful ladies out there. I don’t think I am there yet. I am not in a hurry.

“If time passes and nobody wants to marry me, then so be it but for now, I don’t feel I have worked on myself enough.

“I don’t want a scenario where I would get married and my music or business would take me away and the next thing would be that my wife would start complaining that I am hardly around. Then people would start saying he doesn’t care about his family. I don’t need that type of talk in my life.

“Let me be on my own, whenever I am ready, I am ready. I have a girlfriend; I have had different girlfriends in the last 10 years. I can’t just be single; I never said I was celibate. The relationship can break, she can leave me and go, and it is possible.

“My other ex-girlfriends left me, they didn’t break my heart, they just moved on, some of them are married now, if they were still waiting for me, they won’t be married by now.

“People have their personal agendas and it is understandable. For me, I am not in a hurry.”

The talented music producer, also emphasised that he does not have a child outside wedlock, stressing that to the best of his knowledge, nobody has had a child for him.

He said, “I didn’t hear anything about having a child outside wedlock. I don’t have a child yet or maybe somebody has a child for me somewhere and they don’t want me to know about it but I don’t know why they won’t want me to know about such a thing.

“If anyone has a child for me, they should bring the child forward. To the best of my knowledge, I don’t have a child yet.”

Speaking of his days with Mo-hits crew, Don Jazzy said that he never imagined that the day would come when the record label and gang would not exist anymore.

He said, “When I created Mo-hits, I never imagined it won’t exist one day. Nobody gives birth to a child with the hope that the child would die.

“I knew I was going to be doing music for as long as possible and thought Mo-hits was going to be around forever. But that is how life is.”

Asked why he always exudes happiness on the social media despite negative comments from some fans at times, the 36-year-old said that he feels it was disrespectful to focus on negative comments all the time.

He added, “I think it is disrespectful to the people that love what you do. If I post a picture, I would have thousands of comments. I don’t expect all of them to be positive.

“It is disrespectful to give attention to the negative comments. I concentrate on the positive messages; I don’t give attention to trolls.”

Abuja-based Nigerian musician, Whill goes into depression after losing his life savings to fraudsters.

He shows his debit alerts as he lose N404k to the fraudsters.

He wrote:

This thing called life is just a hot pot of beans!!! And so today as at 3:25pm I started receiving a lot of debit alerts on my phone. At first it seemed like a joke, I had to rush off to the bank, Access Bank at nyanyan branch, Abuja. Debit alerts of over 38k, 56k, 56k, 56k, 56k, 56k, 56k, 20k and 10k was withdrawn from my account. I’m still in awe about how someone can just stay and decide to be so wicked enough to withdraw someone’s sweat, someone’s � hardwork, I mean, I know how hard I have worked, going for different shows here and there! Doing the little legit jobs I can do and then this! � I’m just gonna kill myself�

According to the bank, they claim my atm details was used by someone to pay for a loan under the “kwikcash” platform! I’m like how How
Heaven knows I’m very careful with anything concerning my account, how can I be so careless to divulge my information to anyone� and apparently these transactions can not be tracked!
As it is I’ve got nothing left in my account as every damn thing I had in my name was cleared �

Damn! Fraudsters are everywhere!
Please y’all should be careful with your atm cards! Don’t even collect an atm card�

I’m wondering how those transactions cannot be tracked! I’m begging y’all to help me try to see if my money can be refunded....... I’m gradually loosing my mind� @myaccessbank and what ever this @kwikcashonline platform is all about! please investigate and help me! The money might not be so much, but it means a lot to me right now!

A Nigerian man, Ini David, is in a thanksgiving mood after he escaped a fatal car accident that claimed the lives of all its occupants yesterday April 7th. He express his gratitude to God, Ini said he was meant to have boarded the bus that was heading to Lagos but changed his mind. He wrote

I'm led in the spirit to lead us in some worship & prayer section commiting our journey into God's hands. Shortly after the worship and prayers, it started raining heavily Just after Gwagwalada,that we had to stop. Reaching Ife only to discover that thesame bus that left before ours has been envolved in an accident with Dangote trailer,and No one came out alive (Including the pretty Coper I spoke with at the pack).

A senior Air Force officer involved in the counter insurgency operation at Bama in Borno state has reportedly died after the tail rotor of a helicopter chopped off his head.

The Cable reports that the officer killed by the helicopter blade was an air chief marshal simply identified as Umar.

A source said the tragic incident occurred at around 4pm on Saturday, April 6, when the deceased, who was the co-pilot a passed through the side of the functioning rotor when he was on his way back after picking his bags.

"Immediately his head was chopped off. The aircraft has been recovered and taken back to the air base. No damage was found the on tail rotor,” the source said.

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, says he withdrew $10 million just to look at it and convince himself that he is rich.

Speaking at the Mo Ibrahim governance weekend ongoing in Abidjan, Dangote said he knew he was rich on paper, but had to convince himself that he was indeed rich.

To do this, the multi-billionaire said he drove to a bank, withdrew $10 million, took it home, put it on his bed, looked at it, and returned it back to the bank the following day. “The way it is that when you first start business, your target is to make your first million. Fine, I did that,” Dangote told Mo Ibrahim. “After a year or so, I realised that I had much more, and I said ok, fine, all these numbers are just written numbers. “One day I went to a bank, and at that time, there were no restrictions, and I wrote a cheque and cashed $10m from the bank and put it in the boot of my vehicle, and I went home and I opened it and I looked at $10m and I said ‘now I believe I have money’.” Dangote added that he took it back to the bank the next day — after his mission was concluded.

The Nigerian businessman is has been the richest man in Africa for nearly a decade, following the expansion of his cement business, and the change of model to focus on local manufacturing.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Dangote is the 74th richest man in the world as of April 6, and he is valued at $16.4 billion.
