Late Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya's daughter, Adun, remembers her on the 2nd anniversary of her passing.

'Two years ago today marks the day since you’ve been gone and I don’t know how I’ve been able to continue without you. You were my backbone. Your passing is still a very sensitive topic for me, anybody that knows me knows that I don’t talk about it' she wrote.

'Words can’t explain how much I miss you. There are nights that when I think of you I cry but I don’t want to do that anymore. I know you’re in a better place watching over me my guardian angel . My love for you is unwavering and it grows everyday. You really don’t know what you have until you lose. If most people were like my mum the world would be a better place for real. Always cherish your loved ones, no one knows tomorrow' she added.

Moji Olaiya passed away at the age of 42 in Canada barely two months after she delivered a baby girl.

Two suspected members of a robbery gang that connived with a fleeing house-boy were yesterday, arrested at Ladipo market, in Mushin area of Lagos, while attempting to sell the stolen vehicle, a Highlander jeep.

Meanwhile, the house-boy, identified simply as Goodluck, is still on the run.

Explaining how the suspects struck on April 29, 2019, to VANGUARD, Mrs Abiola Abegunde, said, she left her Igando abode at about 10.30 am, to fix her faulty phone, leaving her mother and her three-year-old daughter with the house-boy.

According to her, “ I was within the vicinity, when I heard the sound of our gate opened. When I looked closely I saw the house boy Goodluck, opening the gate for my father’s highlander jeep to go out of the compound.

Suspecting the boys reversing the jeep, I started shouting thief! But to my greatest surprise, the houseboy was with them. They reversed the vehicle out of the street into the adjoining street which is Busari street, where the house-boy stood. He was also shouting thief, to convince passers-by”.

She said that the matter was reported at the Igando police division.

Explaining how the vehicle was recovered, spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, DSP Elkana Bala, said, “ Luckily on May 1, 2019, at about 5:30pm, one Arifayan Tosin went to Ladipo market, Mushin, to sell the said Toyota highlander jeep with registration number LSR392DE with pretence that his father instructed him to sell the car. Unfortunately, the buyer dialled the phone number in the particulars, only to be informed that the vehicle was removed from where it was parked at Igando.

“Immediately, he contacted the Area Commander D, Mushin, who mobilised policemen and got the first suspect arrested. Further investigation led to the arrest of the second suspect Ramond Ado, a security guard with Fundamental Guard attached to Ajose street Mende, Maryland . Efforts are still on to arrest fleeing Goodluck”.

A female lecturer at the University of Nigeria Nsukka allegedly punished her students for not sweeping the classroom by asking them to kneel down and raise up their hands.

According to eyewitness:

"This happened earlier today in 3rd year class, department of Microbiology, University Of Nigeria Nsukka.

No matter how anyone would want to look at it, this is outright insanity, to say the least. How do you mete out this kind of punishment to university students for not sweeping their classroom when we've got non-academic staff who're paid to get stuff like this done

If people like this lecturer are not called to order, a time will come when they'd flog and physically abuse students and it will still be swept under the carpet. This is sheer humiliation and totally unacceptable."

19-yr-old Nigerian medical student with brain, becomes the youngest artist in the world and first African to ever have her work grace the walls of the Cyprus Museum.

The Nigerian lady identified as Emediong, says she dedicated the paint to the legendary Nigerian musician, Lagbaja.

In her Instagram post, she wrote:

"I’m pleased to announce to the general public that my artwork is now a part of the vast collection of the Cyprus Modern Art Museum! �This is the largest museum in the Mediterranean region. My work is now in the possession of the owner of my university- Forbes listed Cypriot Businessman, Suat Günsel.

Apparently, I am the youngest and only African Art piece in the entire museum with works dating as far back as 1940. Somebody pinch me! More importantly, this painting is dedicated to none other than the legendary Nigerian musician and political activist himself, Lagbaja. @officiallagbaja . I decided if I’m going to put a timeless piece in the walls of a foreign land, it should be about the ones back home.
Sir, if you’re reading this, know that you’ve inspired a culture. You’ve created both war & peace with your passion and creativity and that is everything I stand for. This is the least I could do to show appreciation.
I’d like to thank God and his Spirit that makes things possible through me- He placed me here. The fact that my art value has gone up more than 10x by reason of this event is still mind blowing. An Uber driver took off his clothes in protest at the General Aviation Terminal, GAT, of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, after being detained and fined by an airport tow truck driver who wanted to seize his car.

The man was not prepared to pay the fine to FAAN when he was accosted by the tow truck driver and this led to an argument which saw the Uber driver pull off his shirt and trousers.

According to online source, "This Uber driver decided to put up this display to save him the cost of paying about 10k upwards fine to FAAN authority.

"When airport personnel gets arrested we pay between 5 & 10k."

Tonto is coming for her, WATCH OUT!!!

Gambian-born Nollywood actress, Rosaline Meurer, says that she doesn’t have plans to stop working with Tonto Dikeh’s former husband, Olakunle Churchill.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Meurer said being an ambassador of Big Church Foundation made it hard to stop working with Churchill. She stated,

“Churchill is like a family member to me; so, why should I leave him? Even when the incident was fresh, I never thought of leaving Churchill because he didn’t leave me. Also, all Tonto said about me was false.”

She insisted that she had no problems with Tonto Dikeh, apart for her lies. She said,

“Everyone has their lives to live. I am living mine, and she should live hers too.”

The actress added that she didn’t regret taking her time before venturing into Nollywood fully. She stated,

“Before I came into the industry five years ago, I was always visiting Nigeria. I don’t regret joining the industry when I did. Everything is about time and knowing the right people. Without connections and God, you can be acting for years without achieving anything.”

According to Meurer, who is the new ambassador of DoctorCare 247, playing nudity or sexual roles is not something she is ready to take up now. She said,

“I cannot go nude or act sexual roles in movies; the most I can do is kiss. I even have to rehearse kisses sometimes. I know they say acting is not real but the sexual movement is real. I have yet to reach the stage I can freely act sexual roles.

“Also, to be honest with you, I hardly get sexual advances from men. If you come to me, I know how to talk to you and you would start seeing me as a nice and lovely friend.”
