@Mcomo I repeat clearly if you didn't get it well GO AND HANG |
@loyika it seems you don't know how to write before you ask me if I know how to read. loyika:Your jumping around when Drogba scored a goal didnt or doesnt mean you insinuated they played well, so don't confuse yourself And if you read properly in earlier posts I made, I said Chelsea is back in the UCL and I hope this turn follows through in the EPL, so my brother don't get your knickers in a twist.Nevertheless, thank you for your detailed input as it really displayed some signs of truth and reality. Like I have said before and will say again whether Mourinho or Grant, only TIME WILL TELL what will happen next ![]() |
somze:I never challenged you on that issue. You asked if I thought he could deliver and I said time will tell ![]() |
@loyika, thank you for your detailed input. Might I ask you the main question of the day? After watching the match, forget the EPL, Carling Cup or whatever, did you think Chelsea put up a good fight against Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium in the UCL yesterday? |
somze:Jose MOurinho was one person (which we owe a great deal and thanks to) and there can never be another, but I think its time to move on and give this guy a chance and let's see what will happen. Trust me, as I stated earlier, few more plays and wins like yesterday and the chants will change from Jose Mourinho to Avram Grant ![]() |
somze:Yeah I remember Vialli and he took over as Manager/Player from Gullit not Hoddle. But still since Jose Mourinho came in with the crop of players, it has been more of get the result than play fancy. I think JM left or was sacked (whichever) because RA wanted to interfere to much in the team and especially because of Sheva. |
Jackal:And back with full force ![]() |
@somze I hope you remember we are not known for playing flashy or fancy football? We always go in the game to get the result (which really matters) and that has always been Chelsea's pattern of play. |
somze:I guess we are all hoping the same and I strongly believe it will. |
Reports from British Papers indicate Chelsea have offered Ajax's coach Henk ten Cate the job of first team coach, though Avram Grant will remain as the team manager. They also say, Steve Clark might be leaving, let's hope it's all for the better. |
Jackal:I hear if they end up in 4th place for the third time they will officially honour them and call that position the ARSEnal position ![]() |
@tkb417 thank you for that nothing but true fact. @ritchboi, you confuse me and God knows how many others. One post you were asking us whether Chelsea deserved to win and in the next post you are calling it a rare good Chelsea performance O boy, I tire. For once, when you see white call it white and when you see black call it black. Whether Arsenal did this or did that, it has nothing to do with this topic as we are not talking of them, but we are talking of the Valencia vs Chelsea match yesterday, in which Chelsea were very good and should be admitted. |
@mcomo My friend go and hang. We are here talking football and you are here talking nonsense. The fact is Chelsea won tonight against Valencia and thats what we are discussing here. If you have a problem with that, I repeat go and hang. |
Mc Omo:Did you speak to them and they confessed that to you? ![]() |
Jackal:I was about to ask the same question. Afterall, if Steaua had a good attacker and Toure didn't save Arsenal on some occasions (once with him a last man standing to head clear), they would have done more. The fact still remains that if one is saying that coming from 1 goal down and winning 2 - 1 in a game against VALENCIA of all teams, at the Mestalla Stadium wasn't a tight performance, then something is definitely wrong somewhere ![]() |
ritchboi:Fair enough, I would accept it as it is your opinion and you are entitled to it, though I must admit I am yet to see anyone else here on Nairaland and where I stay (Gunners and Man U fans as well) who agree with you. BUT in my opinion they put up one of the best performances so far this season. We have never had flashy football, but have most times gone in and gotten the job done. Sometimes in life you gotta be raw and not diplomatic to get what you want, trust me Our boys did that today for the second time in 6 months to Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium ![]() |
cabali:@cabali I meant we are back in the UCL ![]() We are on the verge of coming back in the EPL ![]() |
ritchboi:Did you watch the match on your phone as well or are you saying this to start off a never ending argument? ![]() @ritchboi admit the truth when you see it or is the performance giving you the shivers of what may happen to your Gunners in the Premier League? ![]() But the reality stands whether 50/50, whether they had 100% possesion or outplayed us, we WWWWOOOONNNNNN!!! ![]() |
@Jackal, I couldn't agree with you more. The boys showed good spirit and it was a brilliant performance. A few more wins like this and I believe the chants will change from Jose Mourinho to Avram Grant ![]() I feel sorry for the boys from the Merseyside though losing at home ![]()
It will give me great joy, after all the hullaballoo over Chelski's bad fortunes, for Chelski to finish ahead of the Gunners.I would love to see their reactions. As long as we come first anyway
It would be something to laugh about, wouldn't it? ![]() |
Congrats to all my fellow TRUE BLUE fans. We played well and we deserved the win ![]() Let's hope they can use this to spark them off and start challenging for the Premiership just as Jackal rightly pointed out. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Guys what do you say? Was that a performance or was that a performance? ![]() First half was shaky, but I think excluding the last 5 minutes, we dominated the second half ![]() |
We are back!!! ![]() TRUE BLUE forever |
We are back!!! ![]() TRUE BLUE forever. |

In the spirit of good sportsmanship I wish all the Man U and Arsenal fans good luck in today's games Lie, lie! I am supporting Roma and Steaua to the final whistle ![]() |
ayusman16:Like I said and have been saying, TIME WILL TELL ![]() |
