Send an email to Accra and ask if you can submit your passport in the US. Attach your US visa, exit and entry stamp to the email. I did that for my mum and they replied that I could. She printed and attached the email from them, her passport and the request for passport letter and submitted in the UK. You will pay some fee in the US office cos you didn't do your bio-metrics there.

I applied before leaving Nigeria, I just read on a platform that I can request authorization to get my visa here in the states instead of going back to naija first, don't know how true tho.

Hello house, not been here in a long while. So I finally got my passport request today since March 21, I'm in d US at d moment, and I read somewhere that I can get authorization from Accra to get my visa here.

Anyway, for those still waiting, don't give up, waited 6months and still got it.

I sent another email yesterday pleading with them to please process my mums application. They responded that they will send me a passport request shortly. This morning I saw application approved and passport request message. I am so happy. My mum is coming with my daughter that I have not seen for 2 and half years cos of school. I applied online for her on May10th.

Or...accra.immigration@international.gc.ca if you applied online.

I just want to say thanks to everyone here..I picked up my passport with 2 years multiple TRV (Canada) today at the VFS office...

I got the automated reply mail immediately I sent the email 2 weeks back, this email just came yesterday..... So I should expect another mail right?

Its the general email they send to you once you send an email. if they will answer you, you will receive an email after this. I also got this when I sent them an email.

Hello all, for everyone still waiting to hear from CIC, Accra just replied my email and the reason they gave is that there's increase in the number of applications for temporary residency ( visit, study and work). So I think for now, people should just stick to applying via paper route, Accra is so loaded ATM.

Wow, so I have a mate, applied March 21st. Have you sent a mail to them? I have but no response aside the automated reply. I got a reply for the web form, and Lagos asked that I email Accra, cos Accra is in charge of online apps.

My brother, the wait is real o, I filled a web form at the weekend, I think it was sent to the embassy in Lagos, and they replied that we should send a mail to Accra.
Sent the email and waiting for their response.

Wow, @Meggito you are still waiting? Well, I guess they are taking their time validating the informations you provided. The processing time put on cic website should be the average time and not exact. Just remain positive and wait it out.

I have never seen a visa application process as tedious as Canada's, na wa!

I applied March 21, online and nothing yet, in fact I only got updates on my application about 2 weeks back, apparently, they just started work on my application.

Hello house, is there anyone else waiting for a response from CIC, application is now 3 months....the waiting game is so legit.

Just be a little bit patient. I and my family applied on March 21 and nothing yet aside an update on our applications last week. Since you and hubby applied together, you'll hear from them soon, but you can send the mail if that would put your mind at peace.

Hello all, I want to ask, does every application get a UCI number? Seems processing of my application just started after 2+months of submission.

Yeah I know, the waiting thing is not really easy for anyone, even people applying for a renewal, but it is well, nothing to do but wait. Thanks @ifymeme

Hi you just have to wait, my friend applied for canada TRV online application on 18th May 2016 did diometrics the same day she got her visa on 24th October 2016 that's 5 whole months. And please note that her cousin applied on 13th may 2016 that's 6 days before her. The cousin got his visa on 19th September 2016. So applying at the same time with someone else does not guarantee that your visas will be ready at the same time.

Nothing yet o, I really don't know what the issue(s) is

Hello all, and congrats to everyone that got approved. This waiting is really tiring, I can't even apply for my study permit cos I'm scared that if I apply for it, we might be denied the visit visa. Really wish I knew circumstances or reasons for delay.

My passport is back from vfsglobal and I was given 3yrs . i.e till my current passport expires

I also applied march did biometrics on the 23rd, and nothing yet. Don't know how the process works but the waiting game is tiring. I've just taken my mind off it, praying and hoping tho

Please I submitted my application online and had my biometric taken since on the 19th of March, 2017. I haven't heard from them as regards the status of my application. Please should I send an email, if yes kindly assist with the email address please. Secondly, I am based in port harcourt, will I have to return back to the VAC to submit the passport if asked to produce it or can it be sent via courier. Kindly respond thanks

It's past 60 days already, I also applied march 21 and nothing yet, it's so tiring tho.

Don't expect to hear from them now it take about 60dsys after biometrics to make their decision.

They will request for you passport through your email when needed.

So sorry about the refusal sir....please when did you apply?

Please I need advise. Our visitor visa was denied, reason stated was that 'Purpose of visit' and 'sufficiently strong socio-economic ties to your home country' . My Wife and I have been to UK and US like 5 times. We actually stated the purpose and wrote a letter of explanation.

Can we re apply? and explain to VO the purpose and proof of strong tie.

I think I'll just wait a while. I applied about 10 days after you, so I'll wait that time frame out, if nothing then, I'll email them.
