PierreDeFermath:I no agree with you say 9-5 accelerates aging..In my industry, finance, if you see some 40-50 year olds, you go bow. They are fitter than many of us below 40. That's why I take this fitness something seriously..It's so important. Lift guys. Lift and lift and lift. Do sit ups and planks with plenty of hatred for a protruding stomach. They will flatten your stomach, even give six pack join.. |
tballeyy:Mhen bro, they both look great. Paso is fantastic too. I guess he looks a bit older than Paso, just a bit, because he lifts and so packs some muscle. Paso no dey lift. Mhen, but how these guys take be like this at 50? Wetin we dey hear from people be say ''I don old oo, I be 50''...But these guys are far from that mhen |
ednut1:Exactly bro. As if you read my mind. I was shouting same in my mind. Either the guy dey lie, may be 6-8 years younger or he works very, very hard to achieve the physique. We all know how papaish many 50 year olds look. The guy won a genetic lottery. He be like our own country man, Paso |
OBIGS:We can do both. The work of the Lord must continue and our financial resources are key here. We have been blessed, we need give back too. The people in dire need must not been ignored. We must do all we can to elevate them. My own philosophy, backed by the Bible, is to do all I can to support God's work and support people in need. I will never relent in this. In fact, the reason I won't mind being a billionaire someday is to propagate this philosophy, using myself as a living example.. |
Charleynmuo:Hello, sounds good. Painful I'm not a mech or techy guy, so can't really be of much assistance to you. All the best bro |
Charleynmuo:I run a consulting firm but not hiring right now but will be hiring massively in the very near future. If I may ask you, what would you bring to a potential employer? I.e. what is in it for someone that hires you? |
cruchenutii:Yes, please go ahead and ask your questions |
cruchenutii:Don't say so bro. I disagree with you. It seems you never jam. All the services I provided on nairaland I did them free of charge. I use several usernames . The services have helped many people get to the next levels of their lives. It's only recently I started charging 3 thousand pounds for this same service. It's far from rubbish. Lol. And for few fellow Nigerians that I like and who have worked hard to distinguish themselves, I still do free for them. It's unfair to say free service here is rubbish. It is because you never jam. Many people help here. |
iykofias:This prayer for me, thank you. Do your best, improve yourself and keep at it. Something big will happen. I'm not sure if any of you on nairaland was worse than me when I was still hustling, but things worked out eventually. It can work for anyone too. |
rastaLivity:Guy, to motivate you, I landed a dream job recently through LinkedIn, earning.....I no go talk am . Someone contacted me, asked for my CV, and then forwarded it to the hiring manager. As God would have it, I completed their 11 interview rounds and got hired. Just like that. Meanwhile, I had had a presence on linkedin for around 7 years before I got this major breakthrough last year. I relocated to the country where the firm is located and so far, things have been good. Don't wanna name names. I'll be outed.Something similar to the above story happened to me in earlier years, i.e. 2013, 2013 and 2014. All three were naija companies - rencap, chapel hill and one other one like that. These are good companies, pay like 7-8 million for the particular role. It is not uncommon; it still happens. I must let you know. My suggestion is to retain your profile on linkedin profile. Periodically update it and make an effort to connect with and send messages to potential head-hunters/human resources managers. Tell them what you do and how you can be useful to them. If you can dig enough, try to know which team or manager is hiring at which and which company, get his name and his linkedin address and send him an email. Even me, whenever someone is proactive like this, I usually do my best to see how I can help the person. This strategy works wonders. Strategically position yourself and polish your profile, then reach out. I will like to end by saying that you must have done a lot of work on yourself to improve your professional attractiveness. Something has to attract those people to you and make them respond to your email or even ask for your CV straightaway, although I must confess this may not always be the case as experience has shown me. When your time has come, it has come. But you still need to be visible. LinkedIn provides that visibility. In any case, do your best, keep at it and your break will come one day. I say this because I'm a living testimony of how one can be favoured through the same linkedin. Good luck |

iamclime:Why did you choose to embarrass me? Anyway, I've learnt my lesson here. I'll always screen all CVs before forwarding and will never take people by their word. |
Sylver247:As in, do you have an MBA? I don't like the report I am getting from those who have sent CV's. Imagine people claiming what they do not have? What an embarrassment Please quickly let me know the type of graduate degree you hold. Oga, please answer this question fast, fast |
iamclime:Good |
Sylver247:Please give a brief idea of your background. Be fast so I can forward you details |
iamclime:Please check your email for further details |
iamclime:Guy, PM won't work. If interested in this role, display your email address. It is in your interest to be fast because people are already being considered |
emperorgoke:This is not correct. It can be challenging for people with anything below a 2:1 or equivalent in the Western graduate job market. In case you didn't know, today you're knowing... |
snoopylinus:Why not employ other 2:2 people as well? Why the focus on employing first class? To prove they can be beneath 2;2 in life or what? |
