" (Mark 13:27). Erm, His elects are only 144,000 in number, and those are the only ppl that will make heaven. The rest of us will be on earth, u see the earth is here to stay forever. Nobody is rapturing into the skies. "One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever." (Ecclesiastes 1:4). nobody is rapturing into the skies. everything happens here on earth. when the lord returns, all evil will be conquered then earth will be transformed to 'heaven'. no sin, no evil, no pestilence, diseases etc.. The Earth is the place of judgment, u pay for your sins on Earth. "And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there." (Ecclesiastes 3:16). the place of judgement ( the judgement ground ) is under the sun. 'under the sun' means the earth. if you read the whole chapter 2, the 'under the sun' is used at least 5 times when referring to 'earth'.. There is nothing like Rapture, this is the only thing i know of. "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein." (Zechariah 13:8 ) "And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God." (Zechariah 13:9). This are the things that will happen. There is nothing like rapture in the Bible. |

annyplenty: I will quote two scripture to define rapture. then I will provide explanation, assuming that you are neither a christian or may be you have not been taught about it.i dont think ur explaination makes any sense. The scripture didnt correspond with ur explaination. "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." (2 Peter 1:20). Scripture agrees with itself "If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; " (John 10:35). "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:" (Isaiah 28:10). If the rapture was trully a doctrine from God, it will agree with other scriptural references of the coming of Christ. But it doesnt stand that test. U have misquoted that verse, 1 thessa 4:17. Remember a similar thing happened to philip. "And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing." (Acts 8:39). This is the prayer of the Jesus that will come and catch you up to Heaven. "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. " (John 17:15)... |
