Now stop stealing people's tribes and get a life. Compile a list of words that Afonjass share with Yeebos and think of claiming Affonjaz instead. It means the same thing. Stop the division. The Idomas know they have a long history with Igbo people. |

Rossikki: DUMMY, Here is COPIOUS EVIDENCE drawn from identical cultural practices:
Excerpt:
1. In Igboland a woman lives apart from her husband and does not cook for him or enter his quarters when she is on her period, she is seen as unclean . Even up till today such practices occur in some parts of Igboland especially by the traditionalists. Before a woman can enter the palace of the Obi of Onitsha , she will be asked if she is on period, if yes, she will be asked to stay out.
Leviticus 15: 19-20 When a woman has her monthly period, she remains unclean, anyone who touches her or anything she has sat on becomes unclean.
2. An Igbo man’s ancestral heritage, called “Ana Obi” is not sellable, elders will not permit this. If this is somehow done due to the influence of the West the person is considered a fool and is ostracized by the community.
1 king 21:3 I inherited this vineyard from my ancestors, and the lord forbid that I should sell it, said Naboth.
3. Igbos have practiced the taking of a late brother's wife into marriage after she had been widowed until the white men came. Now it is rarely done but except in very rural villages.
Deuteronomy 25:5 A widow of a dead man is not to be married outside the family; it is the duty of the dead man's brother to marry her.
4. In Igboland, there is a unique form of apprenticeship in which either a male family member or a community member will spend six(6) years (usually in their teens to their adulthood) working for another family. And on the seventh year, the head of the host household, who is usually the older man who brought the apprentice into his household, will establish (Igbo: idu) the apprentice by either setting up a business for him or giving money or tools by which to make a living.
Exodus 21:2 If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve you for six years. In the seventh year he is to be set free without having to pay you anything.
5. In Igboland , the yam is very important to the Igbo as it is their staple crop. There are celebrations such as the New yam festival (Igbo: Iri Ji) which are held for the harvesting of the yam. New Yam festival (Igbo: Iri ji) is celebrated annually to secure a good harvest of the staple crop. Those old days it is an abomination for one to eat a new harvest before the festival. It's a tradition that you give the gods of the land first as a thanks given.
Deuteronomy 16:9 Count 7 weeks from the time that you begin to harvest the crops, and celebrate the harvest festival to honor the lord your God, by bringing him a freewill offering in proportion to the blessing he has given you. Celebrate in the lord's presence together with your children, servants, foreigners . Be sure that you obey my command, said the lord.
6. In Igboland it's a tradition that the male children are circumcised on the 8th day. This tradition is still practice till date.
Leviticus 12:3 On the eighth day, the child shall be circumcised.
7. In Igboland, there a practice known as "ile omugwo ". After a woman has given birth to a child, a very close and experienced relative of her, in most case her mother is required by tradition to come spend time with her and her husband. In which she is to do all the work of the wife, while the new mom’s only assignment to the baby will be to breastfeed. This goes on for a month or more. In the Igbo old tradition, at this time, the new mom lives apart from her husband, would not cook or enter his quarters.
Leviticus 12:1-4 For seven days after a woman gives birth, she is ritually unclean as she is during her monthly period. It will be 33 days until she is ritually clean from the loss of blood; she is not to touch anything that is holy.

holyokoto: You are no true son of Igala. the first Attah of Our third Dynasty Ebulejonu was daughter of Abutu Eje, that's not where Igala history started. the second dynasty Attah Aji . the first dynasty preceded this Eri who Igbo people placed 14th centuries, meaning Igbo never gave rise to Igala.
they said the third son of Eri is Attah. in fact an insult to Idah. Attah is not a name of a person originally but a title derived from my father. we have more colourful ancestors not Asiatic tribes Hebrew that entered Canaan from Transjordan.
we always see ourselves inferior but am not part of that, the oldest known human existence is from.Africa not Asia. Olduvai George Tanzania We are only about 2million people in number. I don't think we are even that old to begin with. I think our relationship with the Igbos go far beyond what we know. They might not be wrong at all, as we don't even know our own history and where we came from. What they are trying to say is that ancient Jews were black people and those black people migrated to Africa. It's even in the Bible, many people know the Bible wilderness is in Africa. And it isn't that hard to migrate from Egypt to west Africa. The in Mali today are said to have migrated from Egypt. So nobody is trying to be a white Jew here. They are saying the whites in Israel today are fake and not the true Jews the Bible talks about. |

laudate: You wrote a long epistle in response, just because you wanted to buttress your lies? You claimed to have lived in Lagos all your life, but you do not have a Yoruba friend. Then you said: "The only Yoruba friend I have is my sister's husband, great guy." I thought you said you didn't have any Yoruba friends earlier? What peculiar habit or offensive trait in you, did they see that made it impossible for the Yoruba people in Lagos, to be your friend? Provide the answer in 5 words or less.... Why you think I beg Yoruba boys to be my friends is appalling. Lol, the opposite is the case. To be honest, Yoruba boys in this part of Lagos tend to influence boys like me in bad ways. Had I moved with Yoruba boys from a very young age I would have been a nuisance. Their attitude and way of life is not something I would like to admire. I only associate with people who add value and no Yoruba boy in my area has ever showed such sign. Now, I don't think I will reply you anymore. I know you to be a trouble maker. Is it by force to have a Yoruba friend? Like I said earlier, I relate with Yorubas on street level, there's no personal relationship in anyway. Ohhhh, my sister's husband and I are friends because we are family. 2 of my sisters got married to Yoruba men and I relate with only one. The other guy and I have nothing to talk about . 3 of my sisters got married to Igbo men and we relate very well. They add value to my life, period! I was born in Lagos and I don't even understand Yoruba, even the simplest Yoruba. That tells you I don't have Yoruba friends. |

laudate: Don't tell me you believed him? How can a man say he lived in Lagos all his life, yet he doesn't have a Yoruba friend? What exactly is wrong with him, or what type of mannerism does he exhibit, that they find offensive? Most Igalas I know, get along with almost everybody! Relax, I don't have anything to gain by lying. I know you to be a trouble maker but I will leave all that aside and explain to you. This isn't a tribe thing, I don't really care about tribe before I relate with people, I relate with people on individual basis. I am an introvert, I don't really keep friends or show myself too much. I relate with Igbo boys more because there's almost an instant connection between me and Igbo boys. All the Yoruba boys think I feel too big and I must say they have their reasons for not wanting to associate with me. And lastly, they don't share my ideas and many of them aren't in my line of business, the very few who are in my line are very selfish with information, they think you would take over their business when they share information with you. This is something an Igbo guy wouldn't care about. He would share information with his friends without being afraid. He's not afraid of competition. The only Yoruba friend I have is my sister's husband, great guy. I'm not the type who would come to your house to stay or speak with you on the road for a very long time. I'm always minding my business. Of course, I know few Yoruba guys at street level. We greet and that's the end, there's no strong relationship or business partnership. Igbos on the other hand relate with me really well. Both on business level and friendship level. They share ideas and they always help in my business life. Everybody loves anyone who adds value. And to be honest, I don't really keep close friendship with anyone who doesn't add value to me. I don't want to sound tribalistic, but I think Igbos share my thoughts. I love people who would ginger my spirits because I'm lazy when it's comes to making money. I have all the brains in the world to make money but I am always content at a certain point, my Igbo friends make me realize no amount of money is too big. I need people who would talk sense into my head and advice me to work really hard to make it in life. I must say Igbos do this job very well and that's why I relate with them. Sorry to Yoruba people, I don't have a personal hate for Yorubas. I think they are a great people but it's not my fault that I don't have any Yoruba friend. Maybe in the future God might provide a Yoruba friend for me and that will be a very great thing.. Lastly, I have dated just one Yoruba girl in my entire life and the relationship didn't last at all (Reason is confidential). All the girls I have dated are Igbos, I have strong love for Imo girls and Igbo food as well. So that explains it all. |
