Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 2:30am On Dec 28, 2013
Mr Troll: you misunderstand.

That they went to the passover when he was 12 doesn't mean that the passover occurs exactly on his birthday. It could have been anyday from the day of his birth to a day before he clocked 13.

A more accurate estimation would be to check out the periods when shepherds usually kept their flocks outdoors by night which of course would not have been the winter months of December. Some estimations place it at early October...
Nothing like misunderstand. The bible was clear. When he was twelve.

Mr Troll: grin grin

Ok.
With proof bro grin. Deutronomy chapter 28 is a good start. Let me just give some verses grin

"But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:" (Deuteronomy 28:15).<< lol, we all know they didnt keep His commandments grin

"The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone." (Deuteronomy 28:36).<< Slavery: Christianity, Islam.

"And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee." (Deuteronomy 28:37).<< Nigger, blacks.

"And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt[bondage] again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy[save] you." (Deuteronomy 28:68 ).

"Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in unclothedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee." (Deuteronomy 28:48 ).<< you still in doubt?

texanomaly: I didn't mean any disrespect by that. Or by calling you a Bible reader. I simply meant you read the Bible and live accordingly. You don't simply believe what any church tells you. I don't have a problem with that. smiley
Exactly. I didnt see any disrespect in your question. The question was polite as ever. wink
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 2:15am On Dec 28, 2013
I think we can figure out when Christ was born with this verses. I have no idea when the feast of passover is, but i will find out.

"Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast." (Luke 2:41-42)... When he was 12 years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. Christ was born on the feast of passover. Not December 25th.
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 2:08am On Dec 28, 2013
Agnostic? shocked i didnt see that on your post earlier. I am far from agnostism. I believe in the bible with no stripe of doubt.... But count me out of any organised religion.
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 2:04am On Dec 28, 2013
Mr Troll: but you're black?
Israelites were black. wink
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 2:02am On Dec 28, 2013
texanomaly: So you don't have a church, right? You are simply a Bible reader? You don't believe in organized religion? Does that make you an agnostic? I'm lost when it comes to all these terms.
The Church is me, myself and I. Christianity isnt a religion, organised or disorganised. It just means followers of Christ. And i can bet it, modern day Christians aint following Christ. They misquote/ misunderstand Paul, and follow Paul. Fulfilling Prophecy smh.

"As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." (2 Peter 3:16).

not just a bible reader.

"(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified." (Romans 2:13).
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 1:56am On Dec 28, 2013
Mr Troll: I thought he was a Christianhuh

Is he not? Abi is he a black Israelite?
Nothing like black Israelite. I am an Israelite...... I can show you proof i am tongue. A little bit of history combined with the bible.

No, it was a nice question. Have answered it. grin
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 1:52am On Dec 28, 2013
texanomaly: So let me ask you. I don't know if you are married, but here's the question:

1. Would you marry, or are you married to a Christian?

2. If so, would you allow your children to be Christians?
I am just 18 miss grin...

Not atall. They will believe what i believe. Majority of Christians are hypocrites, i dont want my children indoctrinated with rubbish lies.

Secondly let me just spill it out, God hates christmas.

"I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies." (Amos 5:21).<< I hate your feast days. Tradition of men. Dictating when Christ was born. Mehn. Any Christmas day you goto Church its a waste of time, God wont be there. I will not smell in you assemblies. grin
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 1:44am On Dec 28, 2013
let me tell you guys what Paul meant with this verse. grin

"But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law." (Galatians 5:18).<< I asked Haibe what spirit means, he refused to answer. Now let me answer him.

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. " (John 6:63).
<< the words of Christ is the spirit grin, and what was the word of Christ? Keep my commandments. tongue

off i go.
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 12:48am On Dec 28, 2013
texanomaly: To be honest I never gave it a thought why Christ's birth is celebrated on December 25th. I knew it couldn't be around that time, but no one knows when for sure. I just figured someone picked a date. I guess they did. You are right. I'm sure Christians wanted to cover up a pagan holiday.
I'm not condoning it. I'm just acknowledging it.
Lol, i dont celebrate it anyway. So i dont have to think about how they came up with it.
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 12:47am On Dec 28, 2013
texanomaly: I don't know. As I said, I was not aware it was a pagan holiday until this thread. "You learn something new everyday."
Lol, were early Christians pagans or what?. Oh my gosh.

Kamsy10: Well I think you should report his post cos its too offensive to remain up there.
That's my savior we're addressing here for crying out loud.
I don't know what God you serve but the man he was insulting there is too big for a mere nairalander hiding behind keyboard.

People like you make them take Christianity for granted cos if they try such with some other religions, it ends in serious violence atimes
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. " (Matthew 7:21)."Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? " (Matthew 7:22)."And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:23). grin grin
Christianity EtcRe: Please Don't Take Christ Out Of Christmas by MEILYN(m): 12:29am On Dec 28, 2013
texanomaly: Before I ask why, let me say:

I know December 25th is not is birthday. It is the day we celebrate it.

I know it has become commercialized. Not everyone makes it all about presents. Some people teach their children about Christ year round and make sure they know the real meaning of Christmas.

Now. Why not?
Of all the days. Why december 25th grin? Why not 26th?

haibe: I do need Google and dictionaries for certain terms, only a liar will claim he understands every words as used in the kjv without help from external sources.

I know you may be more than me in Christ but let God be the judge.

Once again, keep sacrificing the blood of bulls and goats, keep stoning the adulterer, keep the whole holidays, never eat pork, etc.
How does pork taste? What does it mean to judge someone? grin. Nah, dont answer.

Meet you in another thread
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 1:26pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: You must be a comedian, what is wrong in asking google for definition of covenant.

Anyway keep sacrificing the blood of bulls and goats, keep stoning the adulterer, keep the sabath, observe the jubilee year, never eat pork, etc.

Until you obey this laws above, you are an unrighteous person since those under the law will be judged by the law.

Just incase you see the need for Christ later, you are welcomed.
He without sin should cast the first stone, i dont eat pork, Christ death is invain if i continue the sacrifices, oh i observe every single holiday in the bible including the sabbath.

Tanks bro. the bible says Iron sharpen Iron, our discussion was Iron sharpen Pako grin but it was fun though. And again, if you are familiar with the bible, you dont need google brahhhh.

I am more in Christ than you could ever be. grin

Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does covenant mean?

What is the first covenant? What are the promises?

What is the second? What are the promises?

"which WAS established upon better promises" This one is future tense? I don die
Oya. Now. We are in the new covenant.grin

i agree. Have the promises been fulfilled?
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:56pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: That wouldn't be possible except this is successful:

Hebrews 10:9
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O
God. He taketh away the first, that he may
establish the second.
Okay i will keep schooling you.

"Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God." (Hebrews 10:7).<< in the volume of The book, The book. that has been written of Christ.

"Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;" (Hebrews 10:cool.

"Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second." (Hebrews 10:9).

What does covenant mean?
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:46pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: . Hebrews 10:9

God. He taketh away the first, that he may
establish the second.

Hebrews 8:6
6 But now hath he obtained a o more excellent

testablished upon r better promises
Yes, Christ is the mediator of a better covenant, established upon better [promises.] What does promises mean? Future tense. He was talking about the future. Get back to school brahhhhh.
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:43pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: Christ asked you to stop what?

Wouldn't Christ be contradicting himself? why do you make him a liar.

The same Christ said except All is fulfilled, not one jot will pass away and now you are telling me the sacrificial laws will pass away and not moral, what kind of person are you sef.
i have explained times without number, everybody knows you are just ignorant. If i still sacrifice lambs for forgiveness of sins that makes Christ death invain.

And secondly, i know you dont understand Scriptures, so i will explain this one for you.

"Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:" (Hebrews 10:5).<< wherefore, when Christ came into the world, he said, sacrifice and offering you shouldnt do, but a body has God prepared me. My body will replace this ritual. tongue
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:36pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: That is for those who have accepted Christ and are made able ministers of the new covenant, they do not need anyone to teach them about God since they now have the Holy Spirit.

Don't twist scriptures, we are under a new covenant.
Its just that, you are blind. I now see it. You have been indoctrinated with bullsh.it. Your mind is unstable thats the problem.

Who is twisting scriptures? The bible says all men and you are saying Christians?

Ok, all Christians know the Lord? According to you right? And all the laws have been written in their inward parts, they dont sin anymore? Lol, then Nigeria would have been a better place. Alaba in particular grin.

New Testament not covenant.....
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:32pm On Dec 27, 2013
"And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest." (Hebrews 8:11).<<< let me explain further on this verse. Everybody will know the Lord, no more fighting, no more war, no more sin, no more killings e.t.c. But the world is the opposite of all this. grin. according to you, everyman now know the Lord? Oh my word.

The first covenant was for Israel to keep the laws and God will raise them high above all nations, they broke this covenant miss.

The second was that all Israel will know God, and the laws will be put in their inward parts, separating them from sin, no more sin anymore.

But that hasnt happened bro... Take a walk jare.
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:24pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: If All has not been fulfilled, why don't you observe the sacrificial part of the law of moses? Why is the old covenant sacrificial rituals vanishing away since we are under the old covenant.
Because Christ asked me to stop it, but nowhere did Christ ask me to stop keeping his laws. tongue

"Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:" (Hebrews 10:5).
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:13pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: You just interpret verses wrongly, in this new covenant you do not need a brother to tell you to know God because the Holy Spirit has been given to us and He teaches us everything necessary to please God.

A covenant normally is made before it can be administered, and the fact that we have been given the Holy Spirit indicates that the new covenant has already begun to be implemented in us. God's law is written on our hearts by the Holy Spirit, which guarantees the future promises.

If we were still under the old covenant, then sorry bro you are still in your sins and need a savior.
I dont know what is wrong with you, even a pagan will understand this verse.grin

"And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest." (Hebrews 8:11).<< Every man, For all --->everybody will know the Lord. Everybody will worship God and keep the laws.
Christianity EtcRe: we are no longer under law but grace, but you do err christians. by MEILYN(op): 12:09pm On Dec 27, 2013
haibe: @ MEILYN are you saying this new covenant Christ talked about here has not been enacted?

Luke 20:22
20 In the same way, after the supper he took
the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant
in my blood, which is poured out for you.

or that paul is lying?
I
6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Like i said, you are making the bible contradict. All has not been fulfilled, till then we are still in the old covenant.

"In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." (Hebrews 8:13). << the old covenant is ready to vanish away. But all has not been fulfilled, until the second coming of Christ..

"Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you." (Luke 22:20).<< New testatment in my blood, not new covenant. Get the kjv bro. Luke 22:20 not luke 20:22.

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." (2 Corinthians 3:6).<< New testament, not covenant.
