btw I think you are mistaking this:
He that believeth on me, (comma) As the scripture has saith, out of his belly shall.....

With this:
He that believeth on me as the scripture has saith...


Please the two above are different, an exclusion of a comma can make a statement lose it's intent. What that verse is saying is that, If you believe in Christ, -like the bible has said, out of your belly shall flow.... The bible says if he believes in Christ, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters.

No one in the united states has owned a slave since after the civil war. I admit it took a while to get things straightened out, and racial leanings still exist. I however am not, and have never had such leanings. I was raised by a father who had antiquated notions about what he called "colored" people, and spent my formative years in societies that were not race friendly. If we are talking who enslaved blacks, where did these white men get the slaves? Who really sold/traded them into slavery? The white men of that time are definitely culpable, but take responsibility for the black men who raided other tribes, and sold or traded those men, woman and children off like cattle. Don't pretend that both black and white are to blame.

As for the Native Americans, I am well aware of their status, and which tribe they belong to. Since we are on the subject of Lamanites, yes I know exactly who these Israelites are, Which country and people imported more slaves than even the United States. The answer is Argentina. So...who enslaved more Jews MEILYN?

texanomaly: I am not trying to prove anything. To be honest, I don't care if Christ is purple, black, white or pink. His color is of no consequence to me. I wish he were green. That way no one could try to take away from his true purpose, by trying to make his ministry about race. I repeat, I don't care what color he is. It is his message I care about. We all, including me, try to interpret the Bible in a fashion amenable to our way of thinking. I am simply trying to get as close to the original text as possible. Christ's message is simple:

No, Judah does not mean black, that would be "shachor", or in the case of Jeremiah 14:2 "qadar".


Really odd how you reached a conclusion like that from a verse about the gates (or the cities, depending on the translation) being blackened.

Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

Judah is NOT a word for Black...please do some research

Black unto the ground is mourning, they mourned in sack cloth and ashes which were black NOT saying someones flesh is black in color

No. Judah, Yehudah, means "One who praises G-d". The Hebrew for black is "Shachor" which is not remotely similar and does not even share a root.

In the verse in Yirmiyahu you referenced, it actually uses a very unusual word for black "kadru" which is more often used in the context of "to darken" or "to depress", but it has nothing to do with the word Yehudah

Read galatians 5:22 and tell me the Spirit there is also a commandment.

you have a poor way of interpreting scriptures, whenever you see a word in different places, you assume it is always used in the same context thereby causing misinterpretation, even a young bible student knows the word Spirit(Pneuma) means a lot of different things.

Even the kjv which you only like didn't use "spirit" but "Spirit", I wonder why you interpret scriptures like you just started reading bible today.
