superstar1: There is no significant impact!
Twitter already has a reputation of being a purveyor of fake news and agents of destabilization of other countries. It has problem in Turkey Russia India France etc The total number of users of Twitters in Nigeria is less than 4m - so what is the noise all about. Even our Nairaland has more number of users. WhatsApp is the most used social media platform in Nigeria and it has a wider usage than Twitter by x4 or 5. Its about what the western world gives priority. Which is the freedom of speech. You will see the impact. When the US mentions business, Nigerian government knows what it means. You won't understand, but they do. |

In every bank in Nigeria, you can open dollar, pounds and euros domiciliary accounts. Yes. But during transfer, USD is the basis for settlement. |

thebosstrevor1: Not true.
People in Europe transact in euro.
Here in Nigeria, if you are sending money to Europe, you send euro, to the uk, pounds, to other countries not in Europe, the USD. The settlement at the banks are done in USD. Ask your banker. |

Nigeria’s constitution provides for freedom of expression. The Government’s recent #Twitterban undermines Nigerians’ ability to exercise this fundamental freedom and sends a poor message to its citizens, investors and businesses. Banning social media and curbing every citizen’s ability to seek, receive, and impart information undermines fundamental freedoms. As President Biden has stated, our need for individual expression, open public conversation, and accountability has never been greater. The path to a more secure Nigeria lies in more, not less communication, alongside concerted efforts toward unity, peace, and prosperity. https://ng.usembassy.gov/u-s-mission-nigeria-statement-twitter-ban/

thebosstrevor1: Swift is not owned by the United states, swift is owned by all banks and their headquarters is based in Belgium. Which currency is your country's reserves? After you government said they will bring the dollar down by allowing direct payment of chinese yuan instead of converting to dollars, what happened? Ask those in banking for more information. |
Politics › Re: Buhari Falls Into Nnamdi Kanu's Trap. by mekaboy(op): 4:39pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
MalcoImX: Our problem is we don't do what we're supposed to do.
Whether Fulani, iPoB, BH or bandit crises, we don't call for investigations.
You know this takes money. Nobody, up to now, has told us the sponsors of these groups. Its not money but the willpower. The north used bokoharam against GEJ, so the sponsors are known. When buhari into power, those who are loyal to him, were told to stop attacking Muslims and they agreed. Thats why they returned dabchi girls, and buhari dashed them leah sharibu as souvenir. So since he has not brought the people he is part of to book, he can't prosecute any other. |

MalcoImX: Miyetti is just an organization just like Ohanexe, Area Consultative Forum or Afenifere
They can't claim responsibility for any attack but then protect or adjudicate for their members - but not criminally.
They'll be proscribed if they can do what you're as saying. They have a killing wing. Even the group that attacked ortom are under them. |

MalcoImX: I can't say much here.
Maybe they don't jail wrongdoers where you are
But ask any police, judge or prison warder friend if you have in the North whether there are Fulanis in prisons.
What we know in the North is farmer-herder crisis and judicial processes apply. How many times have miyetti allah openly claimed responsibility for attacks. Have they been invited or arrested? |

MalcoImX: All talks aside, one thing you should give to Buhari us his non-interference in the judicial process.
As for me, Maina and his guarantor, Kanu and his guarantor and many others should receive hundred stripes if koboko, long jail terms or even death.
Buhari's old age is working against Nigeria. He's treating everybody like their father He should put mouth sometimes. How then did uzodimma become governor in imo? How many fulani herdsmen have been sentenced? Buhari has always been this way. |

thebosstrevor1: Without the United states, you can trade.
Is paypal not banned in Nigeria.
Visa, paypal and Mastercard are just companies, there are lot of alternatives.
Not all foreign transfer passes through United states intermediary bank and not all banks use intermediary banks.
Intermidiary banks are just middle men, it is an agreement between 2 banks to help handle international payments. You seem not to know much about the banking industry. The world reserves are in USD. Even our reserves as a nation are in USD. |

MalcoImX: Bro, I've lived in Borno state and have seen how civilians suffer because of idiots called terrorists.
It's only God that'd help you when you're near when soldiers hear a certain Shekau or Nnamdi is around some area.
Don't play with fire
Your people are lucky he was just raided, Borno and Yobe towns were blocked or closed for days to go after these miscreants.
GSM services at a certain time were suspended for over a year in those states to curtail the activities of these terrorists
And motorcycle ban, being the choice mode of transportation for the hoodlums, IS STILL IN PLACE in those states.
You think na play abi? Continue to dey support Nnamdi wey dey Britain.
But finally, I don't think I am competent to answer this your security questions. I can only tell you what I've seen with my korokoro eyes. Ask the Army. Most IPOB members hate me with passion because of my views on kanu. They don't believe i am igbo. But i this case, buhari goofed big time. |

MalcoImX: You talk as if it's okay to be a Boko Haram member. In the North you are 100% dead if you are a BH member or identified to be harboring them.
At a certain time in Maiduguri, the youths organize themselves and went on a house to house search for BH. Those who were lucky to have escaped death never set foot in the town since then.
Is it like that with ESN and ipobians. I saw bokoharam for the first time in history, driving through the streets understand this administration. The police and army saluted them, while the citizens celebrated and waved at them as they returned the dabchi girls. |

Politics › Re: Buhari Falls Into Nnamdi Kanu's Trap. by mekaboy(op): 2:46pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
MalcoImX: By that all you supporters of Kanu are terrorists since you don't see what's wrong with Kanu's views as many northerners idolize Osama then. I have never supported kanu. But they say, charity begins at home. This administration lacks the legitimacy to pursue such cases. If they said that bokoharam members can rule this country someday, any terrorist can. |

MalcoImX: How's Pantani a terrorist? He shares the same views and ideology. Was part of a meeting that planned jihad. He even admitted to the extremist views. Will you allow a doctor that raped a female client operate on your wife? Thats why licenses are cancelled in developed countries. But in Nigeria he just says he is sorry and its expected to go away. |
Politics › Re: Buhari Falls Into Nnamdi Kanu's Trap. by mekaboy(op): 2:24pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
MalcoImX: Chai.
That's why I don't trust you
The bail was granted on certain conditions and you quite know that the terrorist was flouting them
Remember, as the days to his court hearings were approaching, he was saying to all who cared to listen that he would go to Abuja and bring Buhari's head back to Abia. The fact that a known terrorist pantami is still in power, disqualifies this administration from trying anyone for terrorism. |
