Survive the night (2020)...3/10
Genre: Action, Thriller

IMDb seems to have finally lost it. Few days back when i downloaded this flick, it was rated 6.1, but now, it's sits at 4.7.

Nice concept though cliché, terrible script & awful execution.
The production crew in charge of this project, seemed like some bunch of amateurs. Video merging was terrible, editing was shoddy, the night shots made with night vision Google's were edited haphazardly.

So many plot inconsistencies, most annoying being a Revolver that fires 2 bullets with one shot, & shoot's more than 8 bullets before you reload.

Bruce Wills seems to have officially taken Nicholas Cage's place.

Overcomer(2019)...7/10
Genre: Drama, Family, Sport

First off, it's a very preachy movie & doesn't try to be subtle about that....... well it's a Christian movie, made for the believers.

The movie was highly inspiring and uplifting, it was well made and it definitely hits home in a lot of areas. A great story on how Jesus can heal & change lives.

Production wise, it sure had it's pros & cons, but the most important aspect of the movie which i so much fancied was the core theme, which is, finding one's identity in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 1 and 2.

Hallelujah somebody.

Half of a yellow sun 6/10

Let's assume that this is truly by all qualifications a Nigerian movie, going by that assumption, I must then admit that this is the best Nigerian movie I have seen based only on its cinematography, acting and scores. Every other aspect was underwhelming and somehow disappointing. There is no doubt there was some quality, but the plot especially felt sluggish and narrow. The characters lost their charisma as the movie progressed and just abandoned any little depth they previously had.

I might finally read the book, maybe it will help me appreciate the story more.

The Abokis and Afonjas really did us in. Imagine hating on someone for progressing.
Lolz, they changed your Ab.oki to Northerners.... Sure, reading the book would make you appreciate the story more, but it'd definitely make you hate on the movie.

The movie failed to capture the whole essence of the book. Trust me, if you pick the book, you ain't stopping till you hit the last page, it was so well written.

The debt collector (2020)...4/10
Genre: Action

This was one sequel that ought not be made. It had no story, acting was outrightly horrible, and to think that i thought Adkins was improving, smh.. definitely, a leopard never changes it's spots. Rather than wasting his talents & time, he better quits acting & go join UFC or better still, stick to his stunt-mans' roles.

The only decent thing the movie had were the fight scenes, asides that, every other thing was outrightly horrible, an eyesore of epic proportions.

The debt collector (2018)...5.8/10
Genre: Action, Comedy

This is definitely one of the first Scott Adkins movie I've seen without over the top or forced combat fight scenes.

Adkins gives his very best, but yet, his act seemed so flat. He tends to have the acting emotions, but terrible at conveying these emotions to the audience, invariably, he's not a kinda act you feel empathy for.

Story was pretty straightforward & ok, dialogues most times came off as cheesy. Finally, the flick had one of the worst endings i have ever seen in a movie, like what really happened? It seemed as though the writer left before he could finish the script, thus, the ending was left to a muggle.

Stretch(2014)....7/10
Genre:Comedy, Crime

Script was witty, funny & very entertaining.
The cast was great & their acting was stellar, soundtracks were amazing as each one of em' was in pari-pasu with their scenes. The action scenes were really good & also fast-paced.

On the cons, the movie was devoid of any form of suspense & very much predictable.

If you've seen the A-team & loved it, then chances are you'd love this too, cause they are somewhat similar(Fast paced action comedies) & were made by the same director.

Light speed craft you say? shocked
It's still been researched on. And it's actually a NASA research, but i believe they would share the idea with SpaceX, since Space X has the funds to experiment on.

if both planets are in alignment,it might take a year.light speed space crafts will make space travel and exploration easy,i wonder if anybody is working on that.
[/i]
At the bolded, that's the idea. When both planets are finally in alignment, a space craft can easily swing from one planet to the other, thus, eliminating long years of travel if they were to travel on a linear path.

I think Musk through Space X is working on a light speed craft. The reusable rocket is evidence enough, that he currently working on a light speed craft.

is a thing of beauty bro ! NASA retired their space shuttle program in 2011 and has barely made any manned space travels since then, why Russia and China have been gaining edge in human space travel and American astronauts had to hitchhike to even get to the International space center, then came the Visionary Elon Musk with SpaceX! , with the successful lunch on Saturday, Occupy Mars is now real maybe only the elites can afford it for now but it's closer than ever before...we can't be the only beings in this universe, millions of galaxies to be probed...There must be something out there!
Chie! American astronauts hitchhiking, Musk really took away the shame.

I just love that dude(no homo) his idea on reusable rockets was a huge milestone in the advancement of space travel.

I heard him say the Mars journey was a one way trip & yet lots of people were signing up, i was like what if things go wrong.

At the bolded, only time shall tell.

i doubt if occupy mars will ever happen
It might take decades, it might not even happen in Musk time, but it will, probably, one of his kids might make the dream a reality.

There's this space documentary i saw on how possible the feat is. It involved calculating & catapulting the space shuttle from Earth's orbit directly to into Mars when both planets are in alignment. It's just a theory though but it sure seems plausible.

Ogbeni we are not fighting. The same writers who wrote that flash is faster can decide to change it tomorrow. That's Supes against Barry & Wally.

NASA & SpaceX: Journey to the Future (2020) 9/10. I am too fascinated with space travel to have allowed this to pass me by. A properly done docu detailing the journey of the first space travel by a commercial company been SpaceX backed by Elon Musk.Jetting to outer space for a "weekend getaway" is now within reach.
Wow! am so seeing this. Elon Musk through space X had simply revolutionized space travel. I read that before now, NASA used to rely heavily on Russia but all that has changed, all thanks to the visionary Elon Musk. I strongly believe in his occupy Mars dream.

200 people were killed in Nigeria last week alone.
Nobody said anything about it here.

Knew it was only a matter of time before our resident arm chair political critics bring black lives mater issues here.
I saw a thread on the front page were Nigerian youths were protesting what was happening far away in the US over here, i just shook my head in anguish.
Just last week in Anambra, a youth was killed by the police who were chasing him cause they said he violated the lockdown, another was shot dead by solders in Asaba not too long ago cause he violated the lockdown. All these happened, yet no one baited an eyelid.

Wait sef.

Who is faster between Flash and Superman?

The way Superman trashed him in justice League is giving me concern.
Haba! This is an insult, not a question. How can you even begin to compare the Flash & Supes in terms of who's faster, Flash who is faster than light.

If you wanna compare, it should be between Shazam & Supes, (Shazam has the speed of Mercury, a Roman god of speed) or between the Flashes(Barry & Wally).

And the Flash in the Justice league movie seems like a kid who just got his abilities newly & still trying to figure things out.

Head over to view comics dot com & check out the lastest issue of the Flash, I think issue 49, there lies the answer to your question.

April 9 (2015)...7/10
Genre: Drama, History, War
Language: Danish, German

Despite the non-aggression pact, Denmark had signed with Germany less than a year earlier. The German leader Adolf Hitler "Heil Hitler!" decided to breach the pact & order an attack on Denmark. This was what transpired on that faithful day, April the 9th 1940.

Script was definitely true to the historical accounts. Cinematography was lush, directing was good, acting wasn't that really impressive, though it was ok & the dialogues were quite disjointed (probably fault from my subs).

If you are looking for a Black Hawk Down, Lone Ranger war kinda movie, then this isn't it, but if you fancied 1917 or Fury then chances are you'd love this.

My favorite Samuel Jackson scene was that incredulous expression of his when Leonardo told him that Django was gonna sleep in the big house.

"in the big house too?!"
"I ask you, who's this niggah on a neigh?".

Django: Hey snowball.

what transpired latter was funny AF. Jackson was at it, that it seemed as though if they had left him & Fox, he'd roughed him up real good with his walking stick.

Land Of Mine(2015)..8/10
Genre: Drama, History, War
Language: German, Danish

If you think the Hurt Locker was tensed, then prepare, cause this movie would leave you in a high state of anxious apprehension. The flick was so suspensefully, i was on pins & needles the whole time.

It was basically a Danish historical biopics, which tells the story of German POWs forcefully sent to clear land mines in Denmark after WWII.

Writing was perfect & devoid of all forms of sentiments. Directing was excellent, this is one director that clearly know his onions/craft.
The Hyper realistic cinematography amplifies the tension & suspense in the story, the photography portraying the exquisite scenery of the Danish lush was a beauty to behold.
Soundtracks were catchy, am not Danish but it stuck to me.
Acting was stellar all round, the protagonist of the story really killed his role.

But for the language, which made me rely heavily on the subs, thus distracting my attention most times, it would have gotten a perfect 10.

Until Death(2007)....7/10
Genre: Crime, Drama, Thriller

This was outrightly different from all the other Van Damme movies I've seen, unlike most of his movies, this one had a heart & the action weren't over the top.

Plot was well written & very touchy. Acting was stellar all round, this definitely has to be Van Dammes best performance yet, cause i sure felt empathy for his character all through. Soundtracks and cinematography were lit.

Seeing the rating on IMDb, I'd say this was a very underated flick, with the quality of work put into it, I'd say it deserved way better.

That scene where the woman and the girl were kissing the boy and the other family that thought the Millers were a real family saw them, I wan die
LMAO.. it was actually the girl from the other family that caught them, immediately she caught them they were all lost for words.

My funniest scene was the one were the black giant spider bit the boy's scrotum & one of his balls was as big as a grapefruit, dude just passed out nude.

We're the Millers(2013)....8/10
Genre: Comedy, Crime
Rated R:Strong language, semi-Nude scenes,Raunchy jokes

What a fun ride, the plot was very good, original, pretty clever & packed with enough one-liners, raunchy sex jokes and witty remarks that's sure guaranteed to leave you in stitches. Flicks was made up of a great ensemble of cast with likeable characters & their individual performance were top notch so to speak. Directing & cinematography were also very good

Overall, I'd highly recommend it, if you fancied flicks like Change up, Horrible Bosses, wedding Crashers. Prepare to laugh your lungs out, 110m you'd wish it never ends.
