It's 6 months straight. You won't need to resubscribe until it expires. Your experience is subject to your location and Airtel's performance at any material time in that place.
so, if I use 1 terabyte in August and hit fair usage policy, it will refresh in September?

How does this Airtel ODU plan work? Do they renew the unlimited every month or you will use the first month's unlimited for the 6 months?

I wan go for it so I don't have to think about data subscription for 6 months. Plus if I go for it, the data will basically costs 18k per month

Don't use this particular radiator cap, the rubber seal is broken and a chunk is missing.

Even if a car is overheating, as long as its temperature rises to the ECU target temperature range, the ECU will command the radiator fans to activate. Ensure there are no air pockets/bubbles in your cooling system, no leaks of coolant from any joint or pipe and your water pump works fine.
yeah, that's the old radiator cap, I am currently using another one with good rubber seals. I wasn't able to check the water pump yesterday cos the mechanic said it's pointless since it didn't overheat again after driving for 30 minutes. I am currently using water so, leaks can't be detected, will change back to coolant once I go back to base.

never go back to a mechanic that repaired your car the wrong way. Find a mechanic that uses a good car scanner, he will use that to detect what could be wrong with the car. The workshop I went to have different departments under one management.

bro I'm having overheating issues on my Corolla 2009when the ac is on when driving ,
the electrician connected the fan directly to ignition
before, the fan only comes on at a particular temperature
mechanic checked and told me It's thermostat was removed
I have driven it for 2yrs without overheating and just started recently

but now the same issues still persists, is it possible to reconnect it back to how it was
and I'm planning on washing the condenser tomorrow I think it might be a clogged condenser
the issue is definitely not from the fan then. So, reconnect it back to factory settings. And yes, it's possible to reconnect it back.

You should ask the ogas for the thread on what to do next. There's no harm in pressure washing your condenser and radiator and they are equally cheap to wash.

You can also describe your issue in detail to ChatGPT and it will give you ideas on what could be wrong.

Hi, guys, while traveling home for Christmas 3 days ago, I noticed that my temperature gauge was high, and water spilled from the reservoir onto my side mirror. I parked and opened the bonnet, and the reservoir was vibrating excessively. No spills from the radiator. I left it to cool down for 30 minutes and started it again, and the temp gauge went back to the middle. I drove it for 5 minutes, and it went back up. I found an auto electrician, and he said the fan has low pressure and suggested that I connect it directly, which he did. I was able to continue my journey without any overheating issues.

Now, my question is, should I continue using the car like that? What should I do differently? I bought the car 3 years ago, foreign used, and everything is still intact.

The car model is ES 300, 2003.
finally took the car to a mechanic today and he removed the direct fan connection and connected it back to factory settings, he use his car scanner to check and the fan comes on once the car reaches 91°c, so he said the thermostat is still working, he then checked the radiator cap and said it's likely why it overheated. My old radiator cap is rated 1.0 but I wasn't able to find it in the market, but I was able to find 0.9 and 108kpa, I bought both for 3k but currently using the 108kpa cos chatgpt said it's closer to 1.0 rating.

Should I continue with the 108kpa? I drove it around for more than 30 minutes with the AC on and there was no overheating.

Here's a picture of the old radiator cap.

Good afternoon sir,

Thank you for explaining everything clearly. For a 2003 Lexus ES300 (1MZ-FE V6), the symptoms you experienced — temperature rising, coolant bubbling from the reservoir, and overheating solved only when the fan was directly connected — show that the fan control system is not operating properly, not the fan itself.

The direct connection was only an emergency bypass to get you home safely.

🔧 Professional Diagnostic Insight

1️⃣ ECU-Controlled Fan System Disabled
Your fans are originally designed to:
• Run at low speed when engine warms up
• Switch to high speed when AC or coolant temp gets high

Since the technician bypassed the relay/sensor control:
✔️ fan now runs continuously
✖️ ECU can no longer manage cooling intelligently

This is a temporary workaround, not a solution.

2️⃣ Bubbling & Reservoir Overflow
This means coolant pressure built up beyond normal.
Possible reasons:
• Cooling fans didn’t kick in early enough
• Radiator cap weak (can’t hold pressure)
• Air trapped in cooling system after boil-over

Even though your radiator didn’t spill, the reservoir is the safety exit for pressure.

3️⃣ Overheating Will Return Later if Not Correctly Fixed
Driving long-term with direct fan connection can cause:
• High alternator load
• Fan motor early failure
• Incorrect warm-up temperature
• Higher fuel consumption

ECU needs correct signals to protect the engine.

⚙️ Ryan Automotive Workshop – Professional Take

The root cause must be identified properly — not bypassed.

Most likely faults to check:
• ✔️ Cooling fan relays (2-stage control)
• ✔️ Engine coolant temperature sensor
• ✔️ Fan resistor / fan control module
• ✔️ Radiator cap pressure test
• ✔️ Air bleeding from cooling system

Once the correct component is replaced and the system bled:
• Fan will return to normal 2-speed control based on temperature/AC
• No more random overheating under load or in traffic

✅ Professional Summary & Next Steps

You should not continue permanently with direct fan wiring.
It was useful as a temporary rescue, but a proper diagnosis is required to prevent:
• Thermostat failure
• Cylinder head gasket stress
• AC performance drop
• Unexpected overheating in traffic

Let an experienced technician test the cooling control circuit and restore it to factory operation.

Find the underlying issue and correct it, do NOT use your fan connected permanently.
I will do that when I get back to base. I took it to a mechanic yesterday and he said everything is fine, that the direct fan connection is good 😑

Wht causes over heating.
Coroded ect
Ac fan stops working
Fuse burnt
Old coolant

Yeterday i turbo all thru. My fuse got burnt.
I noticed the temp eas rising every 10mins and my house is like 1 hr drive. No how.e go overheat.
I parked by roadside
Let engine cool down for like 1 hr.
Had to locate a bar to buy goldberg to kill time

After 2hrs ,this was by 8.30pm
I had hard starting for luke 6 tries
By the 7th try engine started,
After 20mins with ac on. The werey started its sahi t again, i quickly parked, put gear in neutral, open boney. Found the culprit. Ac fan wasnt spinning, had to hit the motor and it started tho it speed wasnt finger cutting. I drove him with full speed at 90kph..got home in 40mins. No much traffic.

This morning I called my rewire. He took out the radiator. It was filled of leaves, dirt dust,sand...it was washed with pressure washer.

Coolant temperature sensor disambled
It was corroded with black dirt like carbon.
Sand papered nd reinstalled
Fuses checked and replaced.

Started car. It responded once
No hard starting.
Ac turned on for 30mins.
Fans picked at 40mins.withrazor cutting speed
Drove for 1hr. Temp guage got to middle by the 48th minute.
Fuel normal

Coolant smelling fresh

Check your fuses,
If the coolant is mote than 6months. Flush every out
If fan motor is weak. Check fuse and relay
Swap them
I serviced my radiator two months ago, so I will rule the radiator out. I will check the fuses and relays. Thank you

Thanks a lot for the breakdown. I am in Anambra. Do you have recommendations for a good mechanic?
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by Meklex(m): 4:20pm On Dec 28, 2025
Babatundehy:
If fan "pressure" was low how did connecting the fan directly temporarily fixed your issue? If you don't have a stuck thermostat and your fan was spinning, then a proper examination is needed, take it to a mechanic, your fan has been connected directly and your car will not reach optimum operating temperature quickly or at all, especially if you don't always drive with the AC or you do lots of highway driving.
The fan pressure increased by 100% when he connected it directly. He added something he called relay.
