If you stated a dating app that no longer exists, one thing you could do is: scroll back to the very first conversation (or text) you guys shared on the current social media you are using to communicate, take a screenshot shot of that. What I’d think they’re looking for: dates, a message that kinda shows you guys are familiar with each other or have already met somewhere (e.g Hey Amy, it’s John from Tinder). Just that type of stuff.

PS: my suggestion is not based on any research.

Update on my Visa Journey.

We will be moving to our new apartment soon. When that is done, I intend filling the Change of Address Card, AR-11. It can either be done online or via paper but I think they prefer we use online unless the person is a victim of domestic violence or something.

I am told it's a serious offence not to let USCIS know of your change of address so I'm taking no chances. However I've heard stories of people having mailing issues after informing USCIS of their address change, I just pray I won't fall in that category. I don't even know how easy for mails to get delivered to the new address.. I've never had issues with mails in the house where we are staying at the moment. What I will do when filling the AR-11 is to put the new address but still put my old address as the mailing address since we still have family in that address.

You can also subscribe for mail forwarding with the USPS. Costs very little, about $2 or so a year.

I asked my fiancé if she do file for her tax every year and she told me she haven’t done that in 3 years while working which I know that’s one of the requirements for immigration. Gurus in the house pls help can she file for the 3 years at once

It’s illegal not to do taxes. But she can contact IRS to see if she can file the previous years.

I’m not sure if that’s unusual but it’s my 40th day since my interview and my case is still stuck at “Interview Was Scheduled “. It’s just different for everyone. Some persons have their GC in hand between 1-2 weeks after interview. I also heard some officers don’t have the authorization to grant GC approvals so they have to pass it up to a supervisor, which takes a heck of a time to get reviewed.
Note: She (Uscis officer) said the same words to us too at the end of our interview.

Quick update guys!

Had my green card interview last week at New Orleans field office. It was just a mere conversation & no trivial question was asked.

My case has not been updated yet. Still on “Interview was scheduled”

Although, the interviewer told us if she needs anything, she will definitely mail us.
Quite unusual with the delay but I’m hopeful it will come through.

Please does anyone have an idea on the timline for AOS interview. Mine has been waiting since March. Im concerned because the EAD is valid for one year. With the long wait times what can one do? I Its a few months away. Also I have heard of a Automatic Employment Authorization Document (EAD) Extension. Does anyone know how this applies?

1. Covid messed up AOS Timeline, and to be honest it depends on your USCIS field office
2. EAD is valid for a year but you are advised to apply for extension if you haven’t received your GC within 6 months of holding your EAD. The extended EAD will be good for another year and hopefully by then you’ve received your GC. Note: It is free to apply for extension!

OTHER RED FLAGS ARE (1) Large age difference(2) No common language (3) Short acquaintance

Omoh I got approved with one visit oh, I also know someone that got approved with one visit. Sometimes it’s just hard to say what they need. For me it’s truth, consistency and hugely financial strength of USC. Sorry for the denial glorioussugar. I sight you @Drenimarcus

Affidavit of support, pay stubs, spinsterhood certificate, reciept of our ring, payment reciept of our wedding hall, invitation card, call logs, chats, pictures, Birth cert, medicals, police report, is there any other thing to go with? Mekusa said I should print email asking for extension, and the reply from them also.

I dont see any thing wrong with taking that step. I sha will recommend you add the email asking for extension with the affidavit of support form and other documents when you are first called at the window to drop those documents by the nigerian staff working at the embassy. I don't see a better chance to have the CO look at it.

Actually,you need to book an appointment contrary to popular opinion,I had to go there a day to my medicals in my case but you can always call them but they’ll most likely send you back if you don’t have an appointment cos they brought out a paper of the people that were booked for that day on the day I went for my medicals

Now listen Glorioussugar, write to the embassy if possible now, if you haven't already!! Now print a copy of the email along with the response from the embassy. Take this and add to the required documents to be submitted before your interview at the window where the interview proper is taking place. Note, you are giving this documents to the nigeria staff at the window, not the CO. Please try to do so.

With what I've seen so far it really looks like k1 process has a high rate of approval. Also, i don't know much about this income above poverty rate, my fiancee makes a monthly income of $4300, please is that a decent one?
