My advice to Igbos is to be wise. This country is no doubt headed for the rocks and the disaster will shake the world but we must not play central role in it.

I have checked the dynamics I can say we are quite lucky that environmental and religious factors are in our favour. A war is coming but we should do all we can to avoid our homeland being made the theater.

Any careful observer would easily notice that the heat is already on the SW while the middle belt is frustrated and now has two options either to radically confront a monster or be swallowed. The Muslim barbarians won't be able to establish or take over our place like they did in Illorin.

Their interest is now in the SW and that is why they are invading the region in large numbers. Okada riding, a vocation that will give you access and make you understand an area is now completely in their hands.

Igbos should play a passive role. We must stoop to conquer. In fact, Nigeria need to last longer so that the perpetrators of that inhuman attrocities of 1966-70 would pay back in full.

How many has died already and how many is dying everyday? We should keep calm and allow karma to deal with them decisively.

Nigeria will ultimately break, so there is no need for us Igbos to sweat it, let's allow it to take its natural course.
You talk too much

OP, honestly, at this point in time, you are not doing us good by sharing these pictures here. See how Yorubas and their partners in mockery have already flooded the thread to heap insults on Igbos. As if the Majors that executed a coup did it in the name of Igbos.
See how they are already blaming Ojukwu, as if he did not explore means of peaceful existence both home and abroad, before Gowon reneged on all pact agreed, because he had the backing of the Brits.
They will not mention how Gowon fired the first shot at Garkem, and invaded the East, to start the war. But their usual hate for Igbos, will always blind them to heap insults and blame Igbos, for a war they did not start. Any way, any sane human, with a brain in his head, will have a rethink if this war, was ever necessary, because the state of the nation is even worst than it has ever been.
God willing, a day will come when this contraption will split, as it is, whether the Brits and those benefiting from it like it or not.

This image should remain in the archives, and not for a forum as this.

In Delta State there are true Igbos there. In Rivers State no ethnic group see themselves as Igbos not even indigenous Oyigbo.
My language is not Igbo. Please use your education. You might not which language came first. You have advantage to be known with the language based on sheer size. If Ikwerre had got as much States as Igbos have I doubt if you would have said this.
Please be educated. Ikwerre language has a lot of varieties just like Igbo has. If you listen to Ikwerre spoken in Emohua and Ikwerre LGAs it is quite different from that spoken in Obio Akpor Port Harcourt.
You see the reason why I said you Ikwerres are playing very dirty politic. How can you say no ethnic group accepts to be Igbo in Rivers State? Do you now speak for the Egbema man, Omuma, Etche or even Asa\Ndoki man? The funny reality is that both Ijaws and Ogonis see you guys as Igbos. You cannot run away from your shadow, no matter how hard you try.
Hopefully, the ongoing boundary adjustment works, so that most of these Igbo speaking communities will be returned back to Imo state. laughably, some Ikwerre communities are also caught in the boundary adjustment. Till then will see how the Igbo denial will fly.

Senator Obi Wali could never have said he was Igbo. Remember, that Senator Obi Wali was among the pioneer members of Ogbakor Ikwerre in 1963. Being Igbo is not a dent. It is a thing of pride being an Igbo person. So do not force it on anyone.
Let me also tell you this, Ikwerre accepts just as Igbos do to claim lineage based on where either of ones parents come from. You could claim Igbo (it is acceptable) if your dad is Ikwerre and mum Igbo. Igbos would welcome such person same way Ikwerres would welcome same.
There is one problem people like you like fanning.
I am happy I am related to the Igbo people. But calling me an Igbo person that is where you missed it. Right from time even when the Igbos were everything and had power then in Eastern Nigeria, Ikwerre people never accpted to be Igbo.
Permit me to educate you further. Some Ikwerres as well would not find it difficult saying they are Igbos. and why? Some Igbos have naturalised in Ikwerre land. We call them the Aros. They are in Elele and Isiokpo mostly. They could not find their ways back to Igbo land. We had no option but to accept them. These set of people and their offspring dont hesitate in saying they are Igbos. Any Ikwerre person that tells you he is Igbo check his background. He is likely an Aro descendant.
There is nothing special about Ogbakor Ikwerre, an Igbo word for that matter. It is the same in every Igboid settings. We have Nzuka Ishiagu, Ogbakor Imo etc. If Ikwerre are actually not Igbo, how come the name of their apex organization is an Igbo word for gatthering of...?
Mind you, Owerri people use the same Ogbakor, for their union.

furthermore, You have the right to assert your ethnicity, but in reality, you are playing a very nasty politics, judging from the result. the Igbo groups in Rivers state is in splinter, and thus lack political prowess, like their counterpart in Delta, that is grouped under Anioma. Oil politics will soon be a thing of the past, and I believe, the bitter politics it attracts.

You can battle it for 10 years without even knowing you are battling depression because you'll have to nurture your system on how to cope and endure overthinking, unrest and no peace of mind. All these will be endured without speaking to anyone because you've gotten use to it and feel it's normal until it hits you to the point you can't endure anymore which normally leads to suicidal thoughts.

OP, abeg make una dey clearify news before posting. This protest is strictly for PDP in Warri North not as you posted. It is PDP that are fighting theirselves not the entire Warri North.

Main reason for this is that the Itsekiris has been ruling that LG through PDP, and there is a MoU between the Ijaws and the Itsekiris as concern the LG and DESOPADEC.

The Ijaws and the Itsekiris shares the chairman of each of the office. Currently the Itsekiris are holding the chairman of both offices, since the past three tenures. Mind you Itsekiris are the minority of the state because they have no LG of their own, they are sharing Warri North and Warri South with the Ijaws and Urhobos respectively, they want to hold every offices. The Ijaws has Three LG of their own and share two LG with other tribes including the Itsekiris.

Let the Itsekiris choose between DESOPADEC and WARRI NORTH LG

Am not Ijaw nor Itsekiris but I live in Warri North and I know what's happening.

My own stance on this whole Ikwerre issue is that they can claim anything they want to be, na that one concern them... heck they can even change the Benin origin story tomorrow and claim they descended from planet Mars, na their shelenge be that. But what won't be tolerated anymore is their insidious proclivity for claiming to be Igbos when it suits them... due to political expediency or any kind of favor they will curry from riding on the Igbo tag... enough is enough! I feel bad for the considerable demography of Ikwerre people out there that genuinely identify, represent and defend their Igbo identities despite the hate they face from their profoundly Igbo phobic kinsmen... but I think the damage and disrespect this Ikwerre's have done to the Igbo nation who haven't wronged them in any way (short of simply asking them to stop answering our names and practicing our cultures and traditions if they insist they aren't one of us) is far too much for us to accept even the ones among them that identify with us... abeg let them all go to Benin where they come from and leave us in peace... just change all your Igbo names and stop speaking Igbo language so we know you're actually serious. As for Ohaneze, those ones lost their relevance a long time so appointing Obi Wali is on their own prerogative, not on the mandate of the Igbo nation.
You guys should be calming down. Prominent Ikwerre sons called Wike to order, after that interview. Yes, an Ikwerre man, a leader in Houston Texas, did an open letter to Wike, and why he is alone in his journey of denial. Don't insult Ikwerre people for the action of few. After all, some Anioma don't accept the Igbo tag. But we still carry them along, I mean those that identity with us.

“ERI MIGRATED FROM IGALA”
By Ayegba Abdullahi Adojoh
(General Igala Ambassador (The Eju-Igala), ordained by Attah Igala, Attah of all Igala people)
Dedicated to Eze Nri, Attah of Obosi, Asagba of Asaba and Olu of Warri
Igala may not be related to everyone in southeast Nigeria, especially those of Aro and/or Jewish origin but Igala is related to Nri people considering some related cultures between us. Although, some South-easterners believe that Eri/Eli was the father of all Igbo people, while some disagree with that.
But Eri, as a person, how was he related to Igala if actually he was? According to some Igbo historians, Atta, one of the sons of Eri was the founder of Igala people. But Igala was not founded by one person as it is popular that Igala settled in Wukari-Taraba state after coming from Egypt through Borno … and later migrated from Wukari to Idah.
In addition, Attah is a tittle in Igala land not a person as they said, and it means father. So, Attah Igala means Father of Igala. Thus, this version does not have any truth.
Another version said that Eri migrated from Igala area to Aguleri and later married an Igala wife who begot a son called Onoja Oboli, and that the Onoja later founded Igala. This is so cyclic and very contradictory.
If Eri migrated from Igala which was already in existence before even marrying his wife or getting a son, how come the same Igala will be founded by Onoja? This also does not hold water.
The third version said that Eri came from heaven with his wife and settled near Omabala river. He later got a child called Idah who founded Igala. Again, this is very strange to many popular world historians as Idah was just a location and not the name of person. Idah was from Ona Imuda, meaning the road has ended because the road or path they were following during their (Igala people) migration ended at the bank of river Niger and they Igala people had to settle down there. Till date, no man or ruler or Attah Igala among the royal clan had/has Idah as his name. This makes this version also false. There is another version which is still different. These inconsistence versions by Igbo historians could not provide provable facts. However, all of them point to one direction, and that is; Eri or Igbo was the father of Igala people.
But considering some similar cultures between Eri people and Igala, and which are not common btw Eri and other Igbo towns, some historians believed that Eri was Igala who left Idah and settled around Omabala (Omi-abala) river many century ago just like many other Igala people across Nigeria and beyond.
As seen in the photo, it can be seen that the Eze Nri dressed like Attah Igala, as he had Ejubejuailo (pectoral mask) on the chest. It is worthy of note here that Ejubejuailo is worn by Attah Igala and no other traditional leader in the entire world. It was taken by Igala soldiers from the Oba of Benin in 1515 during our first war with them. So, how come the Eze Nri dressed (in 1944) like Attah Igala if he was not of Igala? Recall that many Igala communities outside Kogi state have traditional titles like Attah (eg Attah of Obosi), Agaba Idu, Idu, Akor, Okakwu, Okpala, etc while some dress like Attah Igala to show their Igala identity.
From available information, it was stated that the burial of any late Eze Nri is similar or related to that of Attah Igala including the Atebo/Atama of Igala and Adama of Eri side.
But that is not all, according to Mr Lawton in 1917, “The Nris are of Igara [Igala] stock, extended themselves southward from Idah”. “Practically all the towns north of the Onitsha-Akwa road are Nri- including Nteje, Umuleri and Aguleri”. In the Awka Division, Akwuju, Igbariam and Amanuke, Orumebo, Oreri are Nris”
In 1955, an Aguleri man, M. C. M. Idigo stated that “The Aguleri people originated from Igara [Igala] and migrated to their present area about 3 or 4 centuries ago. The leader Eri, a warrior, took his people on a war expedition, and after long travel and many fights, established his camp at Eri-aka, near Odanduli stream, a place which lies between Ifite and Igbezunu Aguleri. Eri, with his soldiers, went out regularly from his settlement to Urada, Nnadi and other surrounding towns on war raids and captured many of the inhabitants. These were the Ibo-speaking people and by mixing with them and inter-marriage, the immigrants adopted the language”.
In 1960, J. S. Boston stated that “The northern Umunri villages say that the clan was founded by a man called Eri who came to the Anambra area from Igala country and settled at the Aguleri…”
Conclusion: From the above points especially that of the Nri descendant, M. C. M. Idigo, I will join my mouth with them to say that “ERI MIGRATED FROM IGALA”. That is, Eri was Igala who migrated from Idah just like many other Igala people across the 28 states of Nigeria. .. and do you know what, our reconnection will take place soon. God bless Igala Kingdom.

More proofs of Eri been Igala
Below are the names of the children of Eri.
1. Agulu, an Igala name meaning “The one who stays or waits see or find it”. He was the founder of Aguleri.
2. Menri (Umi-eri). Umi means rest, confort. He was the founder of Umuleri
3. Onogu (Onu-ogu), meaning warrior or leader of war
4. Attah, an Igala name meaning father

5. Iguedo, meaning he stays or resides in the middle or centre of.
All these names including Eri are still being used by Igalas till date. There is no Igbo man bearing Agulu, Eri or Attah presently from my findings.
Pls note: Eri been from Igala does not mean that all Igbos were from Igala. There are many communities where Igala people are in southeast Nigeria. In addition, the communities founded by the children or descendants of Eri in any part of Nigeria are all Igalas.
