The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed the sum of N821.86bn to the three tiers of government in July 2018 from the revenue generated in June 2018.
The amount disbursed comprised of N687.35bn from the Statutory Account, N85.34bn from Valued Added Tax (VAT) and N7.32bn excess bank charges.
Federal government received a total of N315.01bn from the N821.86bn. States received a total of N194.51bn and Local governments received N147.05bn. The sum of N42.85bn was shared among the oil producing states as 13% derivation fund while N100.00bn was transferred to Excess crude Account(ECA).
Revenue generating agencies such as Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) received N4.82bn, N12.21bn and N5.42bn respectively as cost of revenue collections.

Federal allocation has been shared before holidays that is what made it possible for northern States to pay salary on time for their celebration.... So except your salary before Friday....

There is nothing like interstate transfer if is not federal job forget it. What we have in the state is inter ministry.

I called a reliable source (a family friend) who is a senior staff in the ministry of finance yesterday evening and asked if it is true that Governor Wike refused to approve payment of our salary arrears. He asked me if I've received September salary and I answered YMes. He told me that Governor Wike was not the person who went on air and said he that he is not owing any teachers salary. He told me that more two months arrears are coming and that I should relax. The person who gave me this info is more or less like an uncle to me since the death of my parents and believe he will not lie to me.

This is probably not the right place to post this but does anyone here know the Ifediora family of Umudioka? My friend here in the US was born to an Igbo father and african american mother. He has never been to Nigeria before and the last time his father visited biNigeria was in 2001. Unfortunately, his father did not tell him much about his village and now his father is late and he desperately wants to reach out to his father's people to inform them of the man's death but he has no way of locating them. The much he knows is that his dad is from the Ifediora family of Umudioka, not sure whether it is the one in Awka or Dunukofia LGA. His father went to St. Patrick's College Asaba. His father's full name is Ifeanyi Emmanuel Ifediora and his father's siblings' names are Uchenna, Nathaniel, Chidiogo etc.

Please anyone who by chance knows this family or is related to them or anyone living in Awka/Dunukofia and environs who can help locate the Ifediora family in Umudioka, please send me an email immediately. My friend desperately wants to reconnect with his father's side of the family.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers has announced the recall of the four suspended commissioners, the Head of Service and the Special Adviser on Lands.

Information on the recall is contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, made available to newsmen on Friday in Port Harcourt.

Wike suspended the commissioners: Dr John Baziafor (Chieftaincy Affairs), Mrs Tonye Briggs-Oniyide (Culture and Tourism), Dr Fred Kpakol (Finance) and Mr Boma Iyaye (Sports).

Also suspended were Mr Godwin Rufus (Head of Service) and Mr Anugbum Onuoha, the Special Adviser on Lands.
