COMRADES, some of us always believe that corruption exists only in our politics; that is only amongst the political ruling class, and not knowing that we all participate in one corrupt act or the other. Let's take a look at the following:

Giving police/security agencies bribe on the road for incomplete or expired vehicle's particulars

Bribing lecturers to boost or upgrade your examinations marks/ score in school

Giving your pastors/ imams money to pray for you to succeed in life, meanwhile God listens to your/ all prayers

Receiving money from a certain candidate during election because of hunger and voting a candidate of your choice

Buying a your girlfriend an expensive phone to end up falling in love with another guy

Padding the prices of stationeries in the office in order to get TP take come back home from work

Stealing/ lying in order to quench hunger due to hardship or unemployment in town

Updating your date of birth so as to secure a job or participate in NYSC

Cheating in relationships/marriage amongst the youths or couples just to satisfy our selfish needs is something else, sugardadies were not left out in the game

Bribing NIMC official to get your NIN

Securities collecting monies from the unemployed job seeker at the gate before submitting his or her application/ CV. Etc Etc Etc

Whether we like it or not, these are corrupt acts we participate in one way or another on daily basis, and we see or regard them as normal (things)
