Express entry is now very competitive as they are piking those with high scores ( those who have French TEF) and people of certain occupations. Province nomination give you extra points to get invited. But you must meet the requirements of the province ( you need to read their websites to see if you qualify for any, some are based on have family members in that province, specific occupation etc) .

Some UK people with care experience were picked this year from the pool. Uk masters does not give you any edge as its same points with Nigerian masters. Read more, also visit YouTube.

1. Ircc officials are probably aware of bank policies in the UK. Your statement of account plus the letter you got are sufficient to show proof of funds. For mine, I submitted only online bank statements and I wrote a letter of explanation that I was unable to get the other required documents from the bank. Had no issue getting my PR approved.

2. It's important your reference letter carries your job descriptions. Like someone advised above, get a colleague to write the description and attach their ID card. You might need to write a letter to explain why you are submitting two reference letters for that NOC. Best of luck to you.

I’m not single , it’s a business account. I have kids and I’m going for my daughter graduation and also have a house with tenants . I will just not include the letter of introduction. Is the cover letter above okay please ?

Please is it complusory to write cover letter with letter head as a business owner ?

Please when filling the form , total earnings as 2.1 and then other additional income as 1.250m , should I click on savings and change the 5m to pounds and fill it in the form or I should just explain the savings on my cover letter or is it better I leave out the additional income part and just include it in the cover letter ?

And please is it best to fill it as business owner or trader , I have Cac

You can still get the visa even after the date of graduation. However, it is expected that you apply early enough for your event in the UK.

It is worth trying. You might be lucky to get it early enough...

And if I submit this week and hopefully when I get it , it passes the graduation date , does it matter ? . I thought priority service is 250 pounds not 500 pounds, so I have to use standard now

I guess this is for me , it’s not a virgin passport? I applied with my kids . I have usa visa , France ,China etc but my kids had Schengen visas. It took approximately 3 months . We Applied in august last year and approved November /December

So the thing is I have a savings account with 5m in it , and I have another account which I use for payment to China, Turkey purchases and the rest and sometimes I take out of savings to add up .

I also have a business account which has 2m in it for 6 months , I opened it this year but was using the other account which I use for purchases now, so that’s it. If I should just put my savings account and also my business account will that be okay to avoid complications. I need to be there for my daughter graduation , i can send you an email if you don’t mind.

It cannot work. You cannot put random figures as your earnings.

Don't complicate issues. Add all the income you make over 6 months and divide by 6. That gives you your average monthly income. Your average monthly income multiplied by 12 gives you your estimated annual income. Simple.

If your closing balance is unnecessarily high, then there is something wrong somewhere. It might mean you have lodged money into your account to "pad" it. It will be noticed and will cause problems. The other reason is that you brought forward some money into the 6 months period you are concentrating on. In that scenerio, your available balance will exceed your total credit. I hope this makes sense to you.

If your account is in a mess (and I suspect it is), start counting 6 months from August and keep a record of all your earnings and your expenses. At the end of January 2025 (6 months from now), let's see the figures you have and then take it from there.

Also I’m applying for just myself , I tried doing the calculation of total credits divided by 6 and it has exceeded how much that is in available balance oh

So I put in as a business owner I can’t tell how much in a year so I estimated it to 2.5 million as how much in a year and also other income which is rent I receive of 1.2 every year , total amount I spend is 400k and how much I am willing to spend for this trip is 1,500 pounds.

The available balance that I’m submitting is equivalent to 8-9m , is this okay ?

Also an agent applied for us tourist visa 3 years ago which was refused before my daughter travelled for studies , he put in that I earn 5m a year , should I stick to this but I think it doesn’t make sense because of the the amount available . Please let me know what you think

Depends. Best to be modest. I would say between 1,500 and 2,000 each.

For your monthly spend, calculate all your expenses over 6 months and divide by 6 to get an average. Do the same thing for the inflow you get for your business.

It’s been a long time but regarding funds not showing evidence for it. Her graduation is next month . I am feeling the form now and been asked how much I spend a month and how much I make in a year in my business, which I can’t tell because business fluctuates, one month can be good and another low , so I’m quite confused on how much to fill in

1. Its still the same even if she is in Canada because she is still using a Nigerian passport. She must now be careful if applying from the UK because the consulars understand such move as Forum Shopping.

2. Traveling all over the world or having many visas before applying for USA visa is now kind of counter productive If your traveling all about does not have meanings.

** She can attempt on academic based travel from the UK.

To me, none of the above.


1. Find an international conference or seminar that is very related to your job, works , skills or career and apply. Invitation letter to attend large public event is 80% better than an invitation letter from just an individual family or friend.

2. Alternatively, you can find a very short professional training program or courses of like 4 - 8 weeks related to your career and apply to.

* Since the COVID-19 pandemic, you have to be a very wealthy Nigerian with stronger ties before your story of 3 weeks tourist/ vacation in the USA can make VISA issuance senses in front of a consular officer.
