From VFS experience, you cannot book him under Frequent Traveler since he is not, but you can submit together same day and same time if there is a document to back up you are all together.

It is possible. If he is a minor, get a consent letter from both of the child's parents, their passport data page and a copy of his birth certificate.

If he's not a minor, no need for the above requirements. But be sure to write in your cover letter that you'll be 100 percent responsible for his travel.

Ok my people I got some good news 😁 it will be unfair if I don’t share because people’s good news here gave me hope too.

This is the Timeline:

I submitted my Visitor’s visa on the 7th of September 2023, I got my biometric letter for same day so I booked an appointment to go for biometric on the 15th of September, I got there and I realized that I didn’t bring my passport so I rescheduled for 26th of September and finally I successfully did my biometric which didn’t take more than 20 mins in there .

I came to this page today to see updates then I saw someone complaining about not getting their profile updated after they did their biometric one week ago, I wanted to write mine too because I never saw any update since I did mine.

I checked my mail and I saw 2 messages sitting in pretty and from other people’s testimonies here , I knew it would be biometric confirmation and passport request 😁 🕺🕺

I have a valid American visa , I only applied for this Canada visa because I heard they are issuing visitor visa anyhow and I currently have a passport expiring in 2031 so why not , from my small experience in life, nothing last forever so I tried my luck ..

I thank God sha , Canada no be easy country sha and I know some good friends there , I have lived in uk before as teenager so moving to abroad dey fear me no be small , Nigeria is not getting better anytime soon , I wish Nigeria can be better so people like me can only be visiting abroad like I have been doing for the past years

Our Visas were approved!!!
Received BVL and PPR for me and spouse as well as PPR for child (he's a minor, he didn't do Biometrics).

My spouse and I used new passports with 10yrs validity but the child has 3years validity!

Received all the emails at the same time! 8.20am 3rd October 2023!!!

I've already scheduled submission appointments online for 5th October 2023!!

Gckey portal has been updated accordingly as captured below, with eligibility showing"reviewing", however, tracker remains as is with eligibility not started.

The wait was really daunting but I thank God it ended in praise!!

I pray the same for all who are waiting! The good news will come soonest in Jesus name, amen

Previous application:- March 20, 2022. Withdrew on February 28, 2023 and reapplied on the same day. Refused June 9, 2023. Reason, lack of assets and origin of funds. Even though I included landed documents and the only deposits in my account was salary payments... I'm guessing they didn't do a thorough job.

Reapplied June 24, 2023. With same documents. No changes, except travel dates, and modification of SOP to draw their attention to my salary deposits.

Sent additional document (newborn children's birth certificate) on July 20, 2023. Acknowledged on tracker two days later.

I have always gone true this thread and honestly it was really helpful so i decided to share my xperience on a Canadian VV for others to learn from.

April 28, 2023: An application was submitted for me by an agent. He didn't gimme the login detail, I was not allowed to proof read what was in the application, POF of N4.3m (the printout), employment details with a Financial institution in Nigeria, Leave advise, Spouse invitation (a student in Canada), marriage certificate, pictures that confirm our marriage, A refundable reservation mail, Travel history ( only a tourist visit to Ghana in 2021). My arrival date was proposed to be 24th August

I wrote a statement of purpose for my visit but the Agent said too much documents will make them reject my application cos I will sound abi look soo desperate.

May 4: Biometrics
June 26: Refusal mail, the agent forwarded it to me cos I add no access to my platform. Reason: your asset and financial is not sufficient to show I was going to leave Canada after my visit plans

So I went to the agent, forcefully collected my login details even tho I parted with some cash enough to pay for another application. He said I shld add monies to my POF to 7m I said No, I will not inflate my balance. I changed my password and I re applied my self: I specified the previous rejection reason and I wrote I wish to address it with the following:

I then did a Deed of Gift on a Landed property from my Father in 2021 with it Valuation report worth N7m, added my Car documents (Camry 2010) with it's comprehensive insurance policy that shows its was insured for N4.2m and also a pension plan from my Pension Manager (1.7m as at July). I then added the Statement of purpose.

July 11: I re submitted a fresh application. My arrival date remained the same
August 26: I sent an emotional mail. The responded and updated my tracker that we have received your enquiry
Sept 5: I got a fresh letter from work showing that I already re scheduled my leave to November, hence I informed them of my intention to change my Date on the application to November. I sent it again via web mail, they acknowledged and updated the tracker page also that they received my enquiry.
Sept 11: [/b]I sent a web mail with an attached Property valuation report of my spouse father and a consent letter from him specifying that I am in charge of his property. They acknowledged and also updated the tracker.
[b]Sept 15: I sent another emotional mail (all this emotional mail, I copied them on this thread and edited them to suit my details). They acknowledged on the tracker also.

Sept 21: PPR (Original Passport was requested)

My submission: [/b]Add as much documents to an asset as you have (compress them to the approved accepted mb), A detailed statement of purpose ll be of help, my Bank statement is better than scanning bulky statement, be precise and detailed on your reason in the application, send web mails when your situation changes and if you wish to send mail to them, I advise you do regularly (he no dey too much) then pray about it always.

My sister is a secondary school teacher, just invitation from my brother in Canada,
statement of account 2.1 million for herself and daughter.
Just be simple with your application and do not add unnecessary documents.
1. Employment letter from her school
2. Statement of account 2.1 million
3. Invitation letter from my brother
4. Letter of Intent
5. Consent letter for my daughter. Her dad got it notarize.

That was all I submitted. She was really discouraged to apply; I encourage her to give it a try and make the application simple.

Advise keep your application simple, landed properties is not part of Canada visa application!

I didn't plan on applying for a Canada visa at all , I just came across this page early last month while checking for something else on the UK travel section of nairaland and decided to apply , I sincerely didn't think it would be approved this fast.

Nothing else was requested until 3 days back when we were asked to send their birth certificates and my husbands passport biodata page and then this morning we got their approval mail.

Finally got my passport with 10 year visa stamped on it.
its been a loooooong walk to freedom.
Summited Application July 2022
PPR June 30 2023
My passport expires next year, had to do urgent passport with 10 years validity and also change from my maiden name to my married name. (300k)
I sent in passport July 17 but it was returned August 8 (30 days submission window exceeded) due to me not including the yellow slip issued during the biometric screening.
I had to go resubmit August 10 and finally collected it today.

The 30 days window being exceeded and me using a new passport with a new last name different from what i applied with got me worried but it all came together at the end. Thanks to everyone who takes time out to help people in here, God bless you all.
