24 year old Ozil leaving Madrid to join Arsenal is one choice he'll forever regret. Tarnished his legacy. I think Pogba made the same mistake funnily enough. He's not a main man type of player he needs to be surrounded by quality. |

Roland17: There is a dark side to every sport and football is not an exception. Do you guys really think the heavy investments by billionaires and sponsors on football is just to entertain you guys on the pitch? Developing countries in Africa and South America use falsification of age to pursue their own cause while developed countries that have enhanced technologies (including medical), financial corruption, bribery, systems, and logistics pursue theirs through other means that almost look innocuous. Everyone has the same goal in mind and that is to gain that unfair edge. It would be naive to think doping doesn’t happen in football. There are no sports anywhere that are genuinely clean, except maybe those which don’t require physical prowess like darts or snooker for example. I think the only question is how widespread it is and how much of a difference it makes. Clearly being fitter and stronger makes you better as a player and as a team but it doesn’t boost your technique or footballing brain in any way. |

Chelsea fans complaining about another club spending is just hilarious lol.
Chelsea in
2003/04 spent 170M Euros 2004/05 spent 170M Euros 2005/06 spent 95M Euros 2006/07 spent 90M Euros
That is a total of 530M Euros in 4 seasons at a time when balon dors like Sheva and Dinho were going for 30M. Adjusting for inflation and increased player prices that will be around 1bn in those 4 seasons alone. They could even offer Bayern captain Ballack double wages to get him on a free transfer. In the past 2 seasons, Chelsea spent over 400M which was more than City spent in the same time frame. It's not guardiola fault that you decide to sack your coach and buy scrubs. |

Which one is mentality and style of play? Are you serious? So by your account who are geniuses in world football? Ranieri and Di matteo should be amongst if am not mistaking. |

patrickmuf: List the more or less the same set of players Fergie used over his reign... You did not answer my question. So are you Ferguson changed his entire squad in one season? Am sure if valverde leaves Barca this season and goes to united he will have to work with an entirely different players and Squad. Did Ferguson do this at United? |

Emaprince: Pep is a spoilt child that hates difficulties. No way he could have stayed in Barcs after Madrid toppled them. He was scared and went on a sabbatical, before grabbing the easiest footballing job at Bayern.....
The best in the world with rampaging wingers in Robben and ribery who guaranteed goals... Yet he got disgraced at the biggest stage because no Messi to bail him with his magic. Robben and ribbery in the same sentence with guaranteed goals lol. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Melvyn11: 5:05pm On May 19, 2019 |
patrickmuf: That they didn't go on to dominate is down to the brilliance of Fergie. It's easier for Ferguson to stay at one club with the same footballing and social culture with more less the same players adding one or two when needed that going to a different league like pep and Mourinho did chosing to operate in a foreign land and master their footballing and social cultures with a completely new group of players. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Melvyn11: 4:59pm On May 19, 2019 |
Greatihex: But you will be the same guy in defence of pep to tell us that money does not guarantee success. That a coach can still have money and fail. Hypocrisy is the name Let's pretend like Ferguson didn't had trophyless seasons at United. When you are at a big club that gives you the opportunity to go multiple trophyless seasons in the name of rebuilding without the possibility of being sacked then it's no longer an achievement or testament of your ability. Ferguson won't survive in this era where coaches don't spend more than 3 seasons in single club. |

eph12: So it's no more risk of being sacked again, it's club structure now? Seriously come on. Pep was dispensable at Barca, He can be sacked the club was not built around him unlike Fergie who can't be sacked in a club he has autonomy. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Melvyn11: 4:48pm On May 19, 2019 |
eph12: What other structure does a coach need than being a legend player of the team, and coaching the junior team. Who is more Barca than Pep that has been there for years? Someone that understood the Barca way and has made his players play in that way abi? Which structure pass that one?
Pep can afford to go trophyless and nothing will happen Bros club structure. Total decision making and no questions asked,Total control of the board and no decision questioned. Your statement says it all, The Barca way a system already in motion. Ferguson was the system in United. if Ferguson says I want player A he gets player A. if Ferguson had said Ronaldo or me United would definitely throw away Ronaldo now compare that to pep at Barca if he said Messi or me lol. |

patrickmuf: At what age? You tried to ridicule his achievement with United, I showed you what he did with Aberdeen now you're asking why he didn't take up another challenge, it's folks like you that questioned Jesus... What do you mean at what age. Did United force him to stay for 20+ yrs? Did he ever wanted to leave at any stage when he was young and United refused. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Melvyn11: 4:28pm On May 19, 2019 |
patrickmuf: You are just jumping on a convo you didn't follow, the guy claimed Fergie bullied other teams and I showed him that it wasn't true, Blackburn at the time, Newcastle and even. Leeds United had the financial clout to go toe to toe with Manchester United...How is it an excuse? Seriously man. Are you claiming Blackburn and Newcastle had the financial ability and club structure of United then? How many years did those team dominate lol. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Melvyn11: 4:25pm On May 19, 2019 |
eph12: Was Pep at risk of being sacked before he left Barça? Was he at risk of being sacked before he left Bayern? He will soon leave City now, and you will claim he's at risk of being sacked You are comparing apples and oranges. Was Barca and Bayern built around Pep like Ferguson who had an entire club structure built around him. Could pep afford to go seasons trophyless like Ferguson? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Melvyn11: 4:23pm On May 19, 2019 |
eph12: Ferguson that lost his best player and still made champions league final after that? Pep left Messi and since then he has been struggling with life. He can't even make semi not to talk to final after spending billions. I mean who loses Ronaldo, that was steadily guaranteeing goals and recovers immediately with Anderson, Park, old man Giggs, Cleverly, old man Scholes, Chicha as core players lol When did pep spend billions and didn't make the Champions league semis? Di matteo went to champions league final with Mikel and other scrubs. Flukes happens |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Melvyn11: 4:17pm On May 19, 2019 |
patrickmuf: The things we get to read on here...Please do a brief research before coming out to say some stuffs, check what Fergie did with Aberdeen before joining United, he is a legend there you know and at a young age or were Aberdeen the biggest club in Scotland? Check what he did in Europe with Aberdeen then come back here and tender an apology. We are talking about United which is irrelevant to what he did at Aberdeen. After dominating with United why didn't he try other leagues and rebuild another team as a genius he is. |
