Ramos is a dolt, in that Madrid defense I prefer Varane to Ramos, it is extremely easy to gall Ramos and once he gets angry he will turn on the full blast of his stupidity, that's why forwards like D. Costa(when he was on form), Mandzukic and Suarez will always make Ramos their bitch. This season, Lenglet has been a far better defense option than Ramos(sentiment o, not factual).
For me the best defenders in Europe so far are Pique, Van Dijk, Koulibaly, Stones/... (when Fernandinho is playing), maybe Godin

In terms of CBs Baresi was the best i ever saw, better than Maldini who was great himself.

Beckenbauer was before my time but he is the acclaimed no 1 amongst all defenders. From tapes i would suggest Baresi just edges it in terms of just pure defending while Beckenbauer who was a wonderful man marker himself was also better in terms of his vision, ability on the ball, and elegance.

They were both complete so you can't go wrong with either. My personal favourite was Baresi because he was the Michael Jordan of defenders when i was a kid.

Maldini doesn't come close to Baresi for me, the latter was a proper leader in defence.. the fulcrum of those great Italian and Milan backlines. As good as a left back/centre-back Maldini was, he wasn't a force like Baresi.
For me only someone like Beckenbauer can surpass him and even then as a pure centre back, I think Baresi is unrivalled in terms of his stature in the game. His exploits at both club level and international level is superb.
Mixture of an elite ball playing sweeper, rock hard defender, very athletic and incomparable leadership and organisational skills. You'll never see someone with all these components.

Henry is arguably the best foreign player the PL has seen. If you compare Ronaldo's exploits in a man.u shirt to henry's for Arsenal, Henry comes out as the better player.
He dominated the league for some five-six years. Ronaldo only had one season where he scored more than Henry (and even then, it was only one more league goal than Henry's best league tally)
You have to factor in overall play too and the impact that has for the team besides the goals they scored. And Henry easily comes out on top there. He was topping both the assist and goalscoring charts in his prime.
