But they just choose to continue to deceive themselves and live in denial. Even Tinubu himself has never denied these obvious facts.
Reno Omokri, who they so worship today, challenged Tinubu to take him to court if truly he is not a known drug lord. Old story, you are becoming boring. Find something new to talk about. |

Notable among these are
Emzor Zolon Greenlife Juhel Embassy Visko NGC Orange Druga Pharmabase NCI Geineth Pocco Nkoyo
Just a few.

The last election in bauchi was tough before APC candidate who was a retired Chief of Air Staff had a very good record which was while he lost to Bala Mohammed and the reason is because Bala has been doing extremely well. If Bala Mohammed has hitherto been doing much for his people, he would not had found it tough to win his second term as you said, it would have been a smooth transition for him. But seeing that it was hard, that meant his people no longer believed in him. |

nairalanda1: Oga, either you grow up and stop being abusive, or you don't quote me again.
I mean, did I abuse you by my comment or my opinions? Did I attack you? Did I say things that were meant to annoy you?
Seriously, on this site, someone makes an opinion, and people come and abuse him or her for what?
Why is it that you guys cannot respond to anything without being abusive, and putting down others.? Is it because others did it to you that you feel the need to be so condescsnding and abusive to others?
Is it a need to feel superior to others, or a need to feel stronger or what?
If you have been bullied by others, deal with it. Don't become like the folks that bullied you. Because I do not see someone who is here to have a serious discussion. I see an evil and mean bully. Grow up, and learn to talk like a civlised and mature person, like you really are.
I am wishing you good morning. Is being called a Taxman so abusive that you have to write a long corrosive memo on it to me? I am just acknowledging what you have consistently been advocating on this platform on the need to tax the citizens for developmental purposes. If you don't wish to be so named or you feel ashamed about being connected to taxation, then stop writing about it. But if you feel offended, kindly accept my apology. And good morning to you too. |

Sports › Re: Paris 2024 Medal Table: Africa Is The Only Continent Not In The Top 30 by membranus: 7:50pm On Aug 07, 2024 |
nairalanda1: 1.We don't have enough people in many of these sports.
How many Nigerians are really interested in the following sports...pentathlon,gymnastics, cycling, triathlon, surfing, skateboard, rugby, golf, tennis, even basketball?
Once you don't have enough people in certain sports, you cannot get a good enough talent pool. That is why we don't have enough potential medalists
2.The sports we do have too much competiton.?
If you notice, South Africa does well in rugby...because the number of really good rugby nations are small. But when it comes to sports like track and soccer, SA does poorly...because there are far too many countries...meaning competition is tighter.
The lady who won 100m a few days ago...is from St Lucia. That is probably the first and last time her country would smell gold at that event...the pool is too large, and half of it is dominated by Americans.
(Infact the USA is so good, that their top ten 100 m male runners could have been in the Olympic final based on their season best times alone. Of course it is not fair, that;'s why we have trials and heats and stuff).
3. Money. Simple.
USA, China, many European nations, Japan , even Australia, all have tonnes of money for preparing athletes, and for paying for athletes to compete.
Also, you need money to travel for competitons, most of which hold in Europe and the Americas. Now, how much is a air ticket from Abuja to New York?
Unless you are based in europe...and can travel by rail easily.
4. No school system
Tune into Youtube, and you can find a random video of a inter-schools meeting in a rural area of the USA. A sports meeting. Any sports. Nigeria does not have an extensive school sports compettive system
Even at university level....NUGA , our equivalent of NCAA...when was the last time you heard of them having a competiton? Anyone?
USA and even Europe have agegrade competitons happening all over the place every year. Nigeria., not so much, and we even better pass some African countries
5. Poverty.
An American child eats better than a NIgerian child growing up. And it shows in athletics...any sport. That is why we sometimes use foreign born nigerians to compete for us....because if a Nigerian child was malnourished growing up, advantage lost
6. NO place to train
How many stadiums, swimming pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, etc, etc...do we have for the members of the public to play in?
Do your local secondary schools have a basketball court, a swimming pool each, a handball court, a tennis court, a gym for gymnasts, even a cycling velodrome for cyclists and skateboarders?
Why are you crying then over the fact we don't have enough medalists, since your answer to the above is no?
7. Money again
US,and Europe have all those high quality stuff because they pay high level income tax, and high fees. Nigeria? You pay fees and a low tax rate, and you expect to be like someone paying university fees of 23000 dollars per annum? You pay fees of 400 dollars per annum and expect the same facilites that someone pays 23000 dollars for?
Only in NIgeria.
If we want better, we got a long way to get better. And shouting about how black people are dull 20000 times a day, or how religion is dulling us down 300000 times a day (when the US, which has a high number of religious people, is leading the medals table by far)...or shouting about gej, and thenkeeping quiet under tinubu....
Either we make some hard choices, or shut up. The Taxman on the beat again. One day you will be made the Minister of Taxation in Nigeria, then we poor masses will be in big trouble, because you will tax us to death. And only you and your rich folks will remain to enjoy the fruits of our God given resources. In Nigeria (which by economic measurements is a poor nation), it is only the gainfully employed workers that pay regular taxes, while private businesses and self employed individuals always deployed different tactics to evade tax payments, and if they pay, it will be minimal. Moreover, the taxes collected by our revenue agents are mostly pilfered by government officials and politicians. And they are not accountably expended on infrastructural development of the nation as wished by you, and as evidenced in advanced countries. So why should we be paying taxes that will eventually be stolen by few people in position of power? |
