Then u are actually a happy slave So quickly you have descended into your slumlord abusive mode, just because of the emptiness of your brain. How pathetic! Nevertheless I will repeat again, so us the service records of your own LG Chairman before you open your mouth to unduly critize a politician who is doing much to satisfy the infrastructural needs of his own constituency at a local level. |

Kobojunkie: That statement of yours should serve as a major indictment against the government, and not a reason for Labor to pull back on its demand. If the government cannot even pay its workers a decent wage of at least $157 a month even after spending so many billions of dollars to supposedly improve the lives of the very same people, then that government needs to be uprooted, don't you think? We are not spending dollar in Nigeria, we are spending Naira, so be realistic. That the exchange rate is bastardised does not mean that the value of our local goods are bastardised too. Our goods still maintain a measure of price independence not attached to your dollar value. |

Maybe our sabbatical from the levers of power has saved us from the numerous disgrace suffered by the political appointees and thieving civil servants from other regions Check this corrupt Ibo man below, and tell us new story: A former acting Accountant-General of the Federation, Anamekwe Nwabuoku, on Wednesday, pleaded with Justice James Omotoso of a Federal High Court, Abuja to give him more time to conclude the refund of the public funds allegedly looted by him and the co-defendant in the suit. Nwabuoku and his co-defendant, Felix Nweke, are facing an 11-count money laundering charge preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Nwabuoku and Nweke, a former Deputy Director in the Ministry of Defence, are being prosecuted for money laundering offences to the tune of N1.6 billion. The defendants were accused of committing to the act while Nwabuoku served as the Director of Finance and Accounts in the Ministry of Defence between 2019 and 2021. |

Focusmind: The way these Korean came up with SAMSUNG is simply amazing. The company is a mega source of revenue to the country, eclipsing even what Nigeria earns from crude oil. SAMSUNG is now into heavy industries, manufacturing, chips, electronics gadgets and household items, employing millions of people both within and outside Korea. This is what is called, value creation, for a countries using corporations as a yard stick to measure value addition to the general economy. You cannot under estimate the impact of human capital development on any country. Profits from SAMASUNG businesses alone is proving huge funds to the Korean government. Dangote is aiming to do that in Nigeria. We should support him. |

madjune: Things like this, as unnatural and unbelievable as they seem can hold a trace of truth.
Remember: The other world exists. Your belief or unbelief cannot will it off existence.
I used to hold great doubts in matters that pertained to the supernatural until sometime towards the end of 2006 when I had a similar encounter...
It went thus: I was much younger. New in a job and cruising home in my second car towards late evening. This happened around Ogba in Lagos and I remember the wind was wild with approaching rainfall and folks walked in haste towards varied destinations. And there I saw her, standing in front of Zenith Bank, making motions to stop a bike or car but none stopped.
I can't remember what moved me but I knew she needed help and pulled in front of her, asking her to jump in. She did, thanking me profusely.
Minutes into our ride, I noticed some things off but shrugged them off. One was, my AC was off but I noticed a sudden chill all over my car. Two, I would hear clangs of chain clappings like a dozen earrings when I didn't bump through a pothole. They seemed to be speaking.
And then, I was more alarmed when I made an attempt at communication and turned momentarily to look in her face: All I could see was a mass of thick black hairs, wrapped round her head. It was pitch black and took the place of her face and the back of her head. She actually had no face. It was darkness.
I screamed. And, nearly hit the car in front of me.
At that point, she spoke. Her speech was in the language of caution and warning...and natural command. She said, " Don't be afraid and never speed in Life."
For some minutes she kept quiet. I tried to look at her again and she warned me not to.
She said, "You've seen enough. It's left to you to believe or not..." I could feel it she read my mind and knew I was a doubting Thomas.
She continued, " You're a good man or else I would have..." She didn't finish that sentence. She just kept saying she was treated badly in her time and she was out to pay people in their coin.
Seeming to read my mind again, she said I should count the NEPA poles and stop at the 6th pole.
I did likewise and before she alighted, she blew a pall of breeze upon my right wrist where my watch was strapped and my watch vanished into thin air. That was it for me. I began shivering. I began to beg her to spare me as I had no bad intentions but just to help. I was still shivering and begging with my head slammed onto my steering as my car has come to a full stop now in the centre of the road. I was frozen in place and didn't know when she stepped or vanished away.
I was still there when the Lagos crowd circled my car, asking me what happened. From the depths of the forlorn vacant embers that was now the shadows of my eyes, I could tell they knew I had seen a ghost.
And...they were right. Is this true or your imagination gone wild? |
