An Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has sentenced to men, Michael Adams and Abass Mutiu to death after finding them guilty of armed robbery and murder.

The Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, convicted the duo for committing armed robbery and murder.

According to the charge, Adams and Mutiu committed the offence on January22, 2014 at Fiyinfolu Avenue, off Ilawe Road, Ado-Ekiti when they robbed Arowosere Kabiru of N12,800 while armed with dangerous weapons like guns and cutlasses.

The convicts also murdered Ojo Adebola.

They were first arraigned on March 1, 2016.

A legal officer from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Mrs. D. Oyewole, called four witnesses to prove the case.

Indian hemp, two motorcycles, cutlasses, cartridges and photographs of the deceased were tendered as exhibits.

The accused were led in evidence by the State Director of legal Aid Council, Mr. Olaitan Adeloye.

Justice Daramola held: “In this present case, it was ominous and brutal; it was not the machete wound that inflicted Ojo Adebola but pellets from the gunshot.

“I found the defendants guilty of armed robbery and murder as laid on the charge sheet. They will face the supreme punishment for the commission of the offence of armed robbery and murder.

“Therefore, the sentence of the Court upon you is that you be hanged by the neck until you be dead. May the Lord have mercy on your souls.”

Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale said he is the richest musician in Ghana.

The controversial musician believes he is at the top of the list due to his hard work in the music industry.

Shatta Wale on several platforms is known to flaunt his super cars to emphasize his amassed wealth ever since he ventured into music.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker who also boasts of his one million dollar mansion in East Legon asserted that ‘God has blessed me so much that, I see myself to be the richest among every other colleague that is in my state right now’.

According to him, growing up his dad mentored him to be a businessman hence creating and producing songs isn’t the only source of his wealth.

In spite of this, he has urged the ‘broke’ musicians to forgo ego and heed to his words because ‘“People have tried to do it and it didn’t work so if [he] Shatta Wale has got a new strategy and a plan people should just come together [so] they can grow this thing up,”

“Ghanaian artiste are hungry, too much begging. They rent cars. When we stand we will live that real life. The 2 Face and Wizkids will want to feature us. Let’s brand ourselves and make Ghana a proud nation…” he urged.

Shatta urged the industry players to support one another and relinquish the ‘pull him down’ syndrome.

Asked how much he is worth, the controversial musician said ‘I am not ready to tell anyone my wealth. Go around and count. Have you ever bought 18 cars for your friends?’ He queried

Over the weekend, musician Paul Okoye and his wife, Anita dedicated their twins, Nathan and Nadia in a Church in Lagos. The mother-of-three has now disclosed on Instagram this morning that she actually had 4 miscarriages before conceiving her bundles of joy. She wrote;

"Who would have thought after 4 miscarriages, I’d be dancing and singing and dedicating TWINS to God almighty!! This God is too good o!!! God has really turned my mourning into dancing again and has lifted my sorrows. A Somalian mother of 4, Kokobie took to her Instagram to share her nude photo as she talks about how ‘Perfect is unattainable’.

She also revealed her past insecurities about her boobs.

.A 54-year old man, Gabriel Oriashi escaped being lynched after he was caught having sex with his customer’s 11-year old daughter, PmExpress reports.

The incident happened at Kajola Street where the victim’s mother resides and owns a shop where she sold local gin.


The suspect who was married to two wives, had gone to the shop to buy a drink and the victim was directed to sell to him.

It was gathered that Oriashi, who noticed that the victim’s mother was not close by, ordered her to pull her pant and penetrated her through the back.

According to the victim’s mother, when she waited for long for her to return to the sitting room, she decided to check what caused the delay and met them in the act.

She raised alarm which attracted the residents who attempted to mob Oriashi before he was rescued and handed over to the police at Ikotun Division.

The Akoko Edo born suspect was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for defilement. It was leant it was not the first time he was doing so.

When interviewed, the victim said the suspect warned her not to tell her parents otherwise they will all die. So she had to keep quiet and bear the assault to save her parents from dying. Oriashi, who is a truck driver, pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr. F. Akani, granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The court ordered the suspect to be remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 15 January, 2018.
