PoliticsRe: Obahiagbon Comments On Obasanjo Greeting Ooni Of Ife by Mendelssohn(m): 1:16pm On Feb 07, 2016
[He miss used the Latin word consensus ad idem...it literally means coming together of heads which also means agreement. A single person can't say he consensus ad idem..but two or more parties only can.

How else do we expect you to assimilate better when you cannot even write "misused" correctly.?

Car TalkRe: How Much Mileage Is Too Much Mileage? by Mendelssohn(m): 2:54pm On Jan 12, 2016
The conventional standard usage of a car is 33,000km or 20,600 miles per year(depending on what your car reads) when 100% utilized. To find out if the car has not been over used, simply consider the number of its age from year of production, using that guideline. That is, a car of 2010 model, if maximally utilized, must be reading about 198,000km or 123,600miles by now on a rough calculation. Calculate it's usage using this system.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Economic Crisis Worsens - BBC by Mendelssohn(m): 12:24pm On Jan 12, 2016
Most of the comments on this thread have posed an indisputable attestation to an inalienable fact that most of those from whom the comments evolved are self indulgently dull and it might just take forever for them to be learned enough to argue constructively. If truly an economy is dwindling, is it an instant consequential effect of mismanagement of public resources or an insidious evolution of economic collapse, sequel to bad economic planning by successive governments that have failed to have uncannily prescient premonition about this undesirable economic trend? If at all we must make comments, why not let it have some traces of education and exposure, other than making comments like "PMB should resign honourably" or "na una want change" and others that are equally devoid of fashionable substance. The crash in oil prices which is a major causative agent of this quagmire is a global phenomenon and not restricted to Nigeria. Even the oil-rich Saudi Arabia and others are experiencing same, if not worse. So what's the relationship between Buhari and fall in global market oil prices? The moment we cannot talk or reason without beclouding our sensitive perceptions by political, tribal, religious and sectional sentiments, then it's better to sit back and watch others.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Investigating Femi Fani-kayode? by Mendelssohn(m): 12:52am On Jan 06, 2016
But one thing I'm still not getting right. I wonder why some people would not make comments that are logical and rational. Some have argued that they would only take this anti-corruption war serious by the time some apc members are indicted. They should first tell us how it would have been possible for the apc guys to have benefited from the pdp largesse or how the pop would have freely given them some financial power to match up with them in electoral contests or even have a clear knowledge of what they did secretly within their fold. Before I can take these people seriously, let efcc refuse to pick any apc member mentioned by Dasuki, or anyone alleged to have been involved in any corruption case.
Nairaland GeneralRe: The First Thread On Nairaland In 2016!!! by Mendelssohn(m): 5:15am On Jan 01, 2016
Dear fellow nairalanders, it remains my visceral inclination to, on behalf of my humble self and of course, the generality of the constituents of this noble platform, acknowledge the ever dogged and pertinacious disposition of God to guard us from the avalanche of perils that characterized our daily activities inter alia in the year 2015. Ipso facto and ipso jure, we have been graciously ushered into the year 2016 in consonance with the impresciptible command of the Almighty and the relentless workings within the sacred precinct of the celestial honcho. Much as I cannot possibly floccinaucinihilipilificate that acknowledgement, it's my belief and prayer that the new year translates to your annus memorabilis of unprecedented testimonies, unvisualized opulence, incomprehensible productivity, unmerited effectuation, engirdling excellence, dorsoventral ebullience, compartmentalized transcedentalism and fissiparous blessings from the kick off of this year and of course, to its point of apocalypse. Happy new year to everyone on this platform.
