One of these three things must have applied to you.
1. You probably didn't have a car and a generator during Jonathan's Era, so you wouldn't have known if fuel ever sold beyond the current black market price.

2. You were probably living in a village in January 2014 when we had the fuel price hike as a new year gift, and as such didn't have access to information about what was going on in the country. You were probably not registered on nairaland then.

3. You are one of the many Nigerians with fast fading memory, the moment such circumstances are approached with temporary palliatives.

It's most unfortunate that we have been devoid of moral values in the name of modernization and that's the greatest device the devil has used to infiltrate into our moral psyche. In many other churches, that wedding wouldn't even be allowed in the first place, not to talk of suggesting yellow gown, the black gown option, a blotted lie which deserves a grave punishment in the first place. So because you are in the 21st century, you must be licentious and strip yourself off your internal locus for self evaluation? I've found our that the problem with most of these undeserving couples is that they are not even Anglican members in the first place. These are people who attend the pentecostal churches where different methods of indiscipline is being thought and promoted at every given opportunity, but unfortunately tune to the Anglican for weddings and burials. So how are they expected to know the standards of the church they don't attend and behave like human beings? The orthodox don't promote waywardness and they maintain discipline and standards as they are not desperate for membership who they can cajole, trick, plunder and balkanize to a depreciable state of financial serfdom at the end of the day. It's not meant for the 21st century religious compliants and if you can't go by their laws, the door of the next church is wide open before you come to this platform to wag your mouth with twaddle and babble talks.

The way people comment on this platform, is an attestation to a verified opinion that there's indeed a problem in this country. Must people actually talk without applying their senses or just reason like right thinking human beings without attacking the person of the President or anything that identifies with him, especially when it has to do with issues of those who have plundered and balkanized this country to a state of economic serfdom? The way most people comment here shows that contemporary education in this country is nothing but mere paper certification when people have blatantly refused to develop the grey matter. Perhaps someone like this Know will start knowing by 2020.
