People, feeling that god is by their sides often say "god is JUST and MERCYFUL". I always feel with amazement how some smart dudes always fail to oberve the aperent law of non-contradiction voilated. Perfect justice with ill mercy are counter intuitive.
That's the reason why Christianity and its kinds allow people to do immoral things with the hope that mere babbling and kneeling down will get things solved.
There was this chat between Dillahunty and a caller asking him "what if somebody kill a bunch of people and kill himself, what will be his spiritual punishment" Dillahunty answered that the punishment is that the perpetrator will be dead. Dillahunty asked him in return "what if somebody killed a bunch of people and prayed, then he got saved, what will be his punishment?" the caller couldn't answer anything.
This is a situation where hideous crimes are meted with ill mercy through praying and believing while potential justice and punishment or even restitution are overlooked. It is a crazy concept of which any society that takes the teaching of christain forgiveness and justices serious, dystopia sort of living will emerge in such a society. |

I believed those things in the past but when I start to investigate whether they are evidently factual, then I started doubting all i use to believe to the extend that I no longer believe them. We believe things either because our parents told us with absolutism or that the number of people buying into such concepts are pretty much or it feels good and so so is the best conclusion to it. My point here is that evidence and prove still remain the most reliable method to discerning whether a thesis is true and not faith. So do I believe in rituals, demon, satan etc, the answer is No. My present rational judge have made me to understand that I should only believe things based on evidence, prove and to some greater existent skepticism. So those labours are abstract concepts until they are demonstrated to be truth. Epistemology is of the position that you shouldn't believe anything until it is evidently proven to be factual. The default position should be "I don't know" and you shouldn't start believing things until proven to be truth beyond any reasonable and rational doubts. |

Politics › War On Corruption: Not Even Jonathan Will Be Spared, Buhari Says by menesheh(op): 5:58pm On Jan 22, 2016 |
(ABUJA) President Muhammadu Buhari has sent out a stern warning to corrupt officials in the country, saying he will not spare anyone who has a case to answer, Premium Times has reported. According to a statement released by presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina, Buhari reiterated his commitment to his war against corruption, announcing that former president Goodluck Jonathan would have to face justice if he was found to be guilty of corrupt dealings. The announcement came in response to a major case involving former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who has been accused of diverting at least $2.1bn in funds meant for the procurement of arms to enhance the war against insurgency in the west African country. With several top officials who served under Jonathan being put under investigation by Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the spotlight has been cast on the former president and dealings during his administration. According to Nigerian publication Naij, a senator of the Second Republic, Pa Ayo Fasanmi, said it was only a matter of time before Jonathan was put on trial. Fasanmi said that the investigations into the dealings of several politicians who worked under Jonathan would “surely” indicate that the former president could have been corrupt himself. Many have, however, since accused Buhari of bias against the former-ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP’s national publicity secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, has emerged as one of the most vocal opponents of Buhari’s anti-corruption drive. A recent Pulse report quoted Metuh as saying that Buhari’s anti-graft campaign had become nothing but a war between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP. He questioned Buhari’s manner of investigation, saying that members of the ruling party seemed not to be open to criticism from the president. The presidency has since revealed that investigations into other sectors would soon begin. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/war-on-corruption-not-even-jonathan-will-be-spared-buhari-says/ |

"Worldwide, the march of religion can probably only be reversed by a renewed, self-aware secularism. Today, it appears exhausted and lacking in confidence... Secularism's greatest triumphs owe less to science than to popular social movements like nationalism, socialism and 1960s anarchist-liberalism.
