God bless you. Buhari should declare all States for themselves...the FGN is not a bank.....resource control is a must... just like the US. you cannot just afford to remain a useless entity in the Nation.... take care of yourself, your LGA and ur State.... it is not Abuja's responsibility....NDA and others should see this through. Dmarketter: but currently only buhari and other federal peeps are getting the stick. Why are governors part of the masses, how come? They wait just like us to share handouts. I need this generation to wake up to that reality. Most govenors should be sacked. Any fool can rule at federal level since its all about ripping off the niger delta.
We need competent hands at state level who can create something out of what we have in comparative advantage to each other |

that is why the oil complex that has allowed us to be kept in shackles must be crashed....the true friends of Nigeria at this time are the Niger delta Avengers.... No gov deserves to be gov if he can't run a viable state...same 4 local govt chairmen...death is but a transition to another realm. Dmarketter: in our current state of inepitude. Hunger would kill most of us. Even in the current state most states are useless. These are states filled with fertile lands, solid minerals , good sunshine for power genration aand large population for business growth. Yet these states are financially moribund. Nobody can prove anything at the moment except how fast to die off from starvation |

we must crash that oil industry.... we don't need anything from dia.....NDA are not even doing enough....govs and Lga's are irrelevant...they can not be TRUSTED....let everyone prove he has a reason to live in today's Nigeria Dmarketter: most of those developments for diversification requires heavy investments because nothing is on ground. Thus we can't hope for a complete crash of oil. We need it, but diversidfication solely lies on governors and local council. How come nobody is talking about their imcompetence |

shetop nothing but resource control is acceptable Fumade: God bless you for your objective post. I like people who reason like this. yes there are grievances but don't you sense a political undertone here? Nigerian govt isn't doing enough agreed, I wrote something about that in one of my works but the Niger-Deltans allow themselves to be used against themselves I believe if they can take a United front and appoint unselfish people who can really negotiate for them and of course they should begin to vote leaders who are not just focused on their pockets the people. the truth is Niger-Delta youths protect politicians and not the poor people that's the truth. the youths can kill themselves for politicians but they cannot stand up in a sensible manner to fight for their rights. you and I both know that this bombings is not the best way. Niger-Deltan youths especially are very selfish. they lack leaders and that's because of the kind of people they themselves are. people that would queue behind the highest bidder during elections how do you think you can get sincere leaders through that. gov't is wrong in some wsys and I believe with dialogue and some sincerity peace can be achieved. However i believe that the problem of underdevelopment in ND is down to the people they choose as their leaders, their own sons of the soil. |

So what is the way forward? double0seven: ......and of course, he would have us believe that the present woeful state of Nigeria's economy has nothing to do with manner in which previous 6 years of Jonathan's Administration looted and raped the Economy as if Jesus was coming back in 2016.
Buhari has his shortcomings, but with all the revelations we keep seeing everyday only a mad person won't know 95% of our economic situation was caused by the years of PDP's mismanagement of our economic resources. The last 6 years of Jonathan was just much more worst that even corrupt Obasanjo was alarmed by it's level of corruption. |

I guess the fallacy in your argument is that only PhD holders are capable of such feats.
Perhaps you mean to say mean aged leaders are incapable of effecting change.
Perhaps you are right. However, Mahathir Mohammed of Malaysia (A country at crossroads and yet at relative peace with various religions - Hindu, Bhudisism, Islam, Christianity etc.and ethnic colourations) left office aged 78 after getting into office in 1981 (yes before Buhari’s coup) and leaving in 2003.
Don't be fooled. He recycled himself into various government positions before, during after prime ministership.
Malaysia thrived through his reign and still does.
Lesson to be learnt: Age is never an off putter where there's a will. Born and raised in Alor Setar, Kedah, Mahathir excelled at school and became a medical doctor....Mahathir was a hard-working student. Discipline imposed by his father motivated him to study, and he showed little interest in sports. He won a position in a selective English medium secondary school, having become fluent in English well ahead of his primary school peers. With schools closed during the Japanese occupation of Malaya during World War II, he went into business, first selling coffee and later pisang goreng (banana fritters) and other snacks.[3] After the war, he graduated from secondary school with high marks and enrolled to study medicine at the King Edward VII College of Medicine in Singapore (now part of National University of Singapore).[13] There he met his future wife, Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, a fellow medical student. After he graduated, Mahathir worked as a doctor in government service before marrying in 1956. He returned to Alor Setar the following year to set up his own practice. The success of his practice, as the only Malay doctor in the town, allowed him to build a large house, invest in various businesses and, pointedly, employ a chauffeur to drive his Pontiac Catalina. A LITTLE WIKIPEDIA SEARCH WILL HAVE REVEALED TO YOU THAT PMB IS NOT WORTHY OF BEING COMPARED WITH THIS GREAT MEN....PMB HAS NO SUCCESS ATTACHED TO HIS PRIVATE LIFE. HE CAN'T GIVE WHAT HE DOESN'T HAVE |

Its no longer news that one of the longest celebrity marriages in Nigeria has came to an end, proving skeptics right that marriages of celebrities always collapse. Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw Nuttal’s marriage with her British hubby, Roderick James Nuttal, who is the Managing Director of Ledrop Nigeria Ltd, an agency for Jack Daniels and Piper Hiedsieck Champagne, broke down due to what we learnt to be an irreconcilable difference. sources revealed that the estranged lovers had been living in different apartments in Lekki, Lagos for the past few weeks before the news of the marriage collapse became public knowledge. Reliable sources revealed that their separation was due to different cases of infidelity leveled against Kate by her husband, Rod.We learnt from different sources that Kate Henshaw Nuttal who has a daughter, Ella for the Britton had been accused by the hubby of enjoying hot romance with some big names in the political and entertainment scenes for some years now. Some of the men that have been fingered in the relationship with the actress include the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke and renowned popular comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth amongst others. Our sources disclosed that the sultry actress had been romantically linked to these notable individuals but she always defended herself that her relationship with them was purely official. According to the source, Rod reportedly overlooked his estranged wife’s affair with the governors, hoping that she was only using her star status to get multi million naira contracts. Popular comedian, Basket-mouth was also alleged to have dated Kate. We gathered that the two entertainers usually meet at some undisclosed areas all around Nigeria, enjoying each other’s company. Her involvement with Basketmouth started during one of the shows they anchored together outside Lagos. One thing led to another and they eventually became very close and started to enjoy each other’s company,a source stated. Ayo Sonaiya, Chief Executive Officer of R70 Media in the United States, who runs a record label and and artiste promotions outfit, was also alleged to have dated the popular actress. Our source maintained that Ayo and Kate Henshaw Nuttal had good times in choice hotels around the country and abroad. Our source said Kate Henshaw Nuttal allegedly complained regularly to her husband’s friend, Mr Keith Richards that her husband didn’t have enough time for her, that he traveled a lot. Sources close to the duo revealed that both Kate and Rod are already talking to their lawyers to finalize the divorce papers and put an end their 12 years marriage. We also scooped that Ella, the only product of the union, is still in Kate’s custody as at today until the court rules otherwise http://www.mjemagazine.com/affair-with-basketmouth-and-governors-ended-kate-henshaws-marriage/ |
