If ever there was a Cross, If ever there was any Man, If ever the Cross changed destinies, If ever the Man loved the Cross, If ever Humanity cherished the Man, If ever Humanity clinged to the Cross.. If the word 'IF' ever meant good, this article broke the trend of all its good... If times and season were reversible, the Man would still desire the Cross, the Cross would still stand erect, bathed in blood on the hill. The Man's love surpass Jack and Rose's, Romeo & Juliet's were no match. Eternity looms overhead, death inevitable, this sayings writh pains in my heart those bad old days. Now i have a hope. YOU have a hope. WE all have hope. Humanity will cease to exist, but humans will exist somewhere, translated humans will exist somewhere. From the soul of friendship, on a platter of gold, on the foundations of Literature, on the Pillars of NairaLand, I present to you , THE MAN AND THE CROSS. |

It was my first time at Yabatech. Not only at Yct but also at Yaba. The last time i stayed at Lagos was about 2yrs ago or so, and that was at around Old Festac, Isashi to be precise. Getting all this far from "The Big Heart" to "The Centre Of Excellence" wasnt an easy one, making my way from Ketu to Yabatech wasnt dat easy too. Lagos and its burstling and hussling! The crowd of students was intriuging. For a moment i thought Yct was the only poly that existed in Lag. Some of the old guns were putting up a good welcome, their chants of "Knw ur directions, ask 4 ur building..,dnt get lost! etc" rent the air. I easily located Education Trust Fund, after the clearance, climbd up to 2nd Floor B. Soon we kickd off with the exam, bt nt after much gisting - welcoming and inspiring - from a lecturer there i suppose. The guy sitting nxt to me was disturbing. He was like "I no knw chemistry, ma see ur own abeg". Though passionate, i found his request irritating and funny. Timeup! And the invigilator grabbed my OMR (as they calld it) as i was abt shading one of my random shadings.. The throng of aspirants was alarming. Blue, black, yellow, white, ugly, beautiful..ppl, studnts frm all wrks of life seemd 2 b present at the sch ground. Like the gisting lecturer told us, " ...not everybody seated here to write this putme will gain admission..", i knew and confirmd that of a truth nt all those crowd of stdnts wud becom Yct studnts. That is a bitter truth. As i made my way out of Yabatech, more stdnts were still standing waiting for their own turn for the screening. If u wrote in Yct today, be sure to say ur prayers. This is my first time of writing a putme and i pray it wud b the LAST time. The school is kinda cute! And beautiful! I hope their inner cacus is also cute and beautiful as well. |

Since when has the issue of marriage turnd into a thing of play? Pls we should know our limits, God is the originator of marriage, and it should be the most sacred, blissful, and the very best thing in life, not a plaything for one to runout here and starts proposing to the "whole world" . https://s26.postimg.org/revzsn0jd/how_receive_holy_spirit1.jpg We are filled with the Holy Spirit by faith. How did you become a Christian? By faith. "It is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast.""So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him." You receive Christ by faith. You live by faith. Everything you receive from God, from the moment of your spiritual birth until you die, is by faith. Do you want to be filled with the Holy Spirit? You can be filled right now, by faith. You do not have to beg God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. You do not have to barter with Him by fasting or weeping or begging or pleading. For a long period of time, I fasted and cried out to God for His fullness. Then one day I discovered from the Scriptures that the"just shall live by faith." An Illustration of Faith.. Suppose that you want to cash a check for a hundred dollars. Would you go to the bank where you have several thousand dollars on deposit, place the check on the counter, get down on your knees, and beg,"Oh, please, Miss Teller, cash my check?" No, that is not the way you cash a check. You simply go in faith, place the check on the counter, and you wait for the money which is already yours. Then you thank the teller and go on your way. Millions of Christians are begging God, as I once did, for something which is readily available -- just waiting to be appropriated by faith. They are seeking some kind of emotional experience, not realizing that such an attitude on their part is an insult to God -- a denial of faith. But faith is the only way you can please God. Though you are filled with the Holy Spirit by faith and faith alone, it is important to recognize that several factors contribute to preparing your heart for the filling of the Spirit. First, you must desire to live a life that will please the Lord. You have the promise of our Savior,"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." Second, be willing to surrender your life totally and irrevocably to our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul admonishes in Romans 12:1, 2:"I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- which is your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will." Third, confess every known sin which the Holy Spirit calls to your remembrance and experience the cleansing and forgiveness which God promises in 1 John 1:9:"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." I call this process"Spiritual Breathing." Just as you exhale and inhale physically, so you also breathe spiritually. You exhale spiritually when you confess your sins. The Command and the Promise If you have wronged a brother or have taken that which is not rightfully yours, the Holy Spirit may lead you to make restitution to right your wrong. If so, obey Him, or you will miss His blessing. The blessings of the fullness of God's Spirit come only to those who willingly obey Him. Jesus promised,"Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." Again, you are not filled with the Holy Spirit because you desire to be filled nor because you confess your sins or present your body a living sacrifice -- you are filled by faith. There are two very important words to remember. The first iscommand. In Ephesians 5:18, God commands you to be filled:"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." Not to be filled, controlled and empowered by the Holy Spirit is disobedience. The other word ispromise -- a promise that makes the command possible:"This is the assurance we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us -- whatever we ask -- we know that we have what we asked of him." Now, is it God's will for you to be filled and controlled by Him? Of course it is -- for it is His command! Then right now you can ask God to fill you -- not because you deserve to be filled, but on the basis of His promise. If you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit already dwells within you. When you purchase a mechanical item that runs on battery power, frequently the notice"Batteries Not Included" is printed on the box. The Holy Spirit -- your Source of power for living -- is"included" when you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Therefore, you do not need to invite Him to come into your life. Ask God in faith today . - Bill Bright. http://hellisnojoke..com/2014/07/how-to-receive-gift-of-holy-ghost.html |
jackal001: Sometimes I can't help but laugh at our ignorance and sheer backwardness! How on earth should this be a news, much less this unwarranted celebration? Neither solar power utilization nor car itself is new, so why this noise? I would give it a slight attention if he were to be the one making the solar panel himself using his own technology. Solar-powered and hybrid cars abound everywhere in the world, so how come a lot of people don't know about it? One clown in Ghana even did something like this not long ago and posted it on youtube and the general appearance was far better than this piece of crap(mind you I'm a Nigerian b4 you start thinking Ghanaian beefs here). If i hear ![]() |

I enable login approvals on two of my facebook accounts. I tried logging in and was told to use the code that would be sent to me. I've waited for more than 30mins and the message (code) has not arrived. It doesnt take so long in the past, but now am totally fed up with it. From trying to provide security to my accounts it seems i've locked even my very self out of it. I can't use any of the accounts now. Previously today, when i tried logging in, i encountered the same problem, though the messages with the codes arrived very late, i had already closed my browser and was doing something when the message arrived, and of course i can't use the code as at the time it arrived because it must have already been invalid. This thing is making me loath Facebook. I recieve notifications of what's going on in my accounts, yet i can't log in to access these notifications simply because of this goddamn Login Approvals. Does someone out there know a possible way out? I've reported the issue via their Help Center, and am still waiting. Thanks to Nairaland, where else could i have turn to , with my fbks accnts forcefully locked! |
Hmm, how foolish and slow in thoughts man can be. Man most times behave like animals esp goats. You try to show them the right and danger - free way they are to take, but they willingly choose to fall prey to the horrors of their stubborness simply becos of PRIDE! Lucifer fell as a result of it. He choose to fight against the Most high even when he knew he will be the looser. While some wise humans all over are craving to serve this God who loved us without measure, some others who know less to nothing are busy trying to fight and remain stubborn to the love of Christ. PRIDE indeed is a KILLER. |
losprince: heck no!!!like seriously |
