Lalasticlala ..lets all learn..spread the lessons. |
Ignatius D. Meshack As the USA celebrates Donald J. Trump as the new president who will take over the White House from Barrack Obama, can we learn a few things please? I personally watched the final debate between Trump and Clinton on Youtube. I was grinning from ear to ear as the cool headed Madam Clinton responded to Trump's allegations and how the hot headed Trump fumbled before he could have a grasp to counter the allegations against him. At times, the allegations against themselves by themselves went messy and vulgar. Everyone respected the tactical wits of Clinton against the bellowing whims of Trump. The media painted Trump blue-black. Trump made derrogatory remarks about Nigerians and the blacks in general, people kind of hated his bloatedness, some termed him arrogant and proud. Haa...even some prophets in Nigeria went further to prophesy that a woman would take over the White House and all that ... I personally didn't like Trump's manner of speaking. I had him on Twitter, and his tweets were always 'arrogant' and on the defensive so to speak. BUT, by and large, it seems USA knew too well that the social media is just a place to be social and that's all. Anything being propagated there has little or no hold on reality. So they still voted for him into office. Nigerians and everyone, please learn that. The social media is a social media and remains a social media. The real world is a real world and remains a real world. USA citizens understands this well, hence they were not fooled by all the brouhaha propagated by the social media, they followed, voted and decided with their hearts, not with their fives senses. Nigeria, Africa and the world at large: learn that. Let socials be socials, and let reality be reality. Don't take it into your home, don't take it into your family. Be ruled by your heart, not your head and those deluded five senses. What do we also learn from the US polls? Perseverance, doggedness, an optimistic mindset, a positive mental attitude, I can go on and on. Trump was ridiculed and mesmerized by the social media, yet he wasn't bamboozled or pessimistic. He just had a mindset that, The White House belongs to him, any time any day, and it did belong to him after all. Almost similar to this is the Edo polls. I happened to watch a part of the debate between PDP's Ize-Iyamu and APC's Obaseki. Oh..pastor spoke eloquently well. Infact his answers to questions thrown at him showed off that he had confidence, oratory and all that... That was in contrast with Obaseki's coy and 'retarded' composture. Stammering and finding it quite difficult to put words together. At that time I also thought, Ize-Iyamu had it! (Oh, do I have a poor sense of judgement?) But, what happened? You know the story. Very soon Obaseki would be taking the oat at the swearing-in-ceremony to be the next governor of Edo state. Dear friends, your beginning doesn't really matter, your end does big time. Be optimistic. Be positive. Be dogged. Thank you for your time. SHARE to bless others. Ignatius D. Meshack #Mescopaul http://mescopaul..in/2016/11/lessons-from-2016-us-polls.html |
moski5:Thumbs Up. and honestly i dont care why. Mine is I am forever grateful that HE DIED AND RESURRECTEDThat's a mediocritic view bro, no knowledge is a waste |
Did JESUS Die On Friday And Rise On Sunday? Does that sum up to '3days in the heart of the earth' as Jesus said? What and why have we been made to believe this ancient lie? Keep reading to find out. Jesus explicitly said in the Holy scriptures: "As Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly", he said, "so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth" (Matthew 12:38-40). Now, I suppose if you did your elmentary right, 3 days and 3 nights would sum up to 72hours. See this: 12hours makes 1 day. 12hours makes 1 night. Giving us 24 hours in what we call a day which is actually a day and a night. So, Jesus didn't leave us in the dark when he said 3 days and 3 nights, he was very specific. Since 12hours=1day then, 3days= 3X12=36hours Also, 12hours=1night then, 3nights=3X12=36hours 36+36=72hours. So, we are certain Jesus was in the earth for full 72hours, that is 3 full days. Now, a day starts counting from 12am to 12am, right, so if Jesus were crucified, died and buried on a FRIDAY (as we were made to believe, which is the advent of GOOD FRIDAY), then summing up 72hours from Friday night would certainly not give us Sunday as the day of his ascension. See this, I made some calculations, and found this: Lets say he died and was buried by 6pm on Friday, 72hours from that would give us: Follow me, 6pm friday to 6am Saturday = 12hours. 6am Saturday to 6pm Saturday = 12hours. 6pm Saturday to 6am Sunday = 12hours. We only have 36hours now, yet we've not gotten to 72hours (3days and 3nights). Continue, 6am Sunday to 6pm Sunday = 12hours. 6pm Sunday to 6am Monday = 12hours. We now have 24+36= 60hours. Not upto 72hours yet, and we're already on Monday! Then how come we are made to believe JESUS rose after 3days on Sunday! Let's go on, 6am Monday to 6pm Monday = 12hours. Now, 60+12=72hours! So, following what we had always known, if JESUS actually died and was buried on Friday night (say around 6pm), he should rise after 3days and 3nights and that should give us MONDAY around 6pm also! What actually happened? Why and Who fabricated the Friday-Sunday death and resurrection of Jesus Christ? In this series of #TruthAndMysteries, I'll be talking about many issues among which is the lies of the Papacy and the ills The Roman Catholic Church has propagated for centuries. Smallville10:Welcome bro. Though since you said EXPLANATION of Creation you should have overlooked what anyone would say, you go on and ride on with the truth, for we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth... And be careful of rexben, and the likes, I would appreciate if you left him off this, this is for Christians and not for ...I don't even know what he says he is.. God have mercy. |
While as I said, I'm not here to argue or drag. We are all here to learn. Most of your explanations were very correct though. I give a thumps up for a platform like this were we as a body come together to reason with the scriptures. Nevertheless, I will still say that if you posted this with the mind that every Christian should swallow it hook-line and sinker, then you would really get offended by this: Smallville10:Sure. 2. Genesis 1v2You see, taking a careful look at the creation story would send various deductions and assimilations. Now, verse ONE of Genesis ONE and verse TWO is quite CONTRADUCTORY if there isn't an indepth explanation. Verse TWO is NOT actually the CONSTRUCTION of the earth as you said, rather it is the REPAIRING of the earth. Now, verse ONE says: In the beginnign God ...pause, which beginning definitely not God's beginning, because, God has no beginning and no end. He is infinite, that's the meaning of Eternity, the life of a never dying God. So this suggests to us, that the beginning spoken about here is a beginning of creation as we were told, what did He create: The Heavens And The Earth. Note it didn't say, some part of the heavens or some part of the earth, it said God created the heavens, and of course everything in it, what makes up the heavens anyway, is it not its constutients? And what makes up the earth? Is it not everything within it? So we see that in verse ONE God succeeded in creating the heavens (and everything in it) and the earth (and everything in it). Now verse TWO kind of gives us a striking revelation: it says: The earth that GOD created was without form and void, the question is WHY? Why would GOD of gods, create something that's without form and void? Why did the earth He created in verse ONE became formless, having no shape, distorted, damaged, and voidless, empty, dark, useless. Would God make such a thing? What does that suggest? Of course we were not told how or why the earth was formless and voidless, but we quite knew that something might have happened to the earth God created in verse ONE, probably between Genesis ONE verse 1 and verse 2 are billions of years. Seeing the mess the earth was now in, God began rebuilding the earth from verse THREE. |
Samville10, before I would contribute to any of the points you talked about, I want you to note that the Bible is of no private interpretation. We as Christians should not really care about what atheists say or do. I don't mind if anyone claims to be an atheist. So, I hope you're not here to get locked-on on a theist-atheist fiasco, I'm not ready for that. My race to heaven is too preoccupied to get myself entagled with obstructions and distractions. |

6. Careless And Careful Thought. Careless thoughts might be thoughts you didn't pre-meditate on. They just come in like flashes. While those thoughts at first cannot make one miss heaven, dwelling on them could polute your mind and defile you. It's not hard to view porne these days. All the street and even right in the church pornography, both direct and indirect ones are staring at you. The sizes or shape of a lady's bursts for instance are enough to pollute your mind as a male if you give it a second thought. It's not easy anyway to stop it if you've not mastered the way out (To read my PDF on how to get rid of stubborn thoughts titled: Thoughts, Mind And Imaginations, request me for it). The other is careful thoughts. Not all thoughts are careless. Some are carefully palnned and orchestrated. While I might not be able to speak much about this here, I urge every believer to get rid as quick as possible of any thought you know will lead to ungodliness. I cannot say these are the only things that would make one miss heaven (for I can't even type all the points I have on my note) there are many of them, but let us as in the day WATCH our Words, Attitude, Thoughts, Character and Habits. Amen. See you in heaven. Please SHARE if you can. http://sundryvirtues..in/2016/09/six-things-that-would-make-you-miss_29.html |
5. Daily Response To Others This week and past week, I've been really offended by many things that had made me reply rather harshly. My spirit has always pricked me when I reflect my day's activities (Do you see why the first point is very vital?)) On the other hand, I had felt peace immediately I said the right things. On a WhatsApp group lately, I posted something and some people kicked against it and I was offended. At first I dragged the issue, and as I clicked the Exit button on my WhatsApp, I waited anxiously to see the next reply so I could 'fire back' again. I totally thought beyond doubt that I was outrightly right, (And I was, for I later confirmed it), but after sometime, a voice softly told me to apologise and let the matter be. Brethren as easy as it was, it was not easy for me, but I eventually did and Oh my God, the peace I felt within was so soothing, I was just grinning from ear to ear. That's what you get when you learn to talk and respond to others with nice words, not shouting and getting angry and worked up. |
4. Besetting Sins I really did have to struggle with that at certain times. Yes I did, and I'm not ashamed to say it, because I've overcomed it, how would I be ashamed to testify my victory over evil? Ministers, pastors, old believers, young, old, rich and poor, besetting sins cuts across all levels. You don't have to be a pastor inorder not to be overcomed with besetting sins, and that you fall to your besetting sin doesn't mean you're doomed excpet of course if the rapture catch up with you while you're at it. I don't want to go into how to stop besetting sins, but I'll say something the Holy Spirit ministered to me. While I struggled with mine, again and again I saw how flat I fell. I was sad, very sad. I prayed, I fasted, I wept within, I took several decisions, yet ... Until as I sat one day meditating, the Holy Spirit said: "What can you really do by your strength?". For once I realised that all the decisions, determination, and resolutions I've been making towards this monster was not with the consciousness that I had to hand over to God. I thought besetting sins was what I would fight with my strength and by myself. Since I handed it over to God, I've been having victory. Could that be your problem too? Of course you now know what to do. |
3. When You Stop (Or Don't) Judging Yourself You see friends, this is one of the most vital part of sonship in the Kingdom. This scene comes to mind as I write. I and a friend were once caught in this web of unfaithfulness to God. We would go to service late. We seldom share God's word, and infact our zeal for dropped. On a faithful night on our way to a Bible Study, we were late this time also, and Oh, we felt so bad. We remembered where the Bible talked about judging oneself and we actually did just that from our very hearts. We confessed that we have not done well. We compared our zeal for God back at home to now in school, how we've degenerated to be 'strolling' to service when we were quite very late. We dismissed all supposed excuses no matter how viable they seemed, and like babies we verbally promised God that we would change. We judged our actions, lives, zeal for God. You see if you never judge yourself, you will never see the ill in what you're doing and that ill might just be what would block your ears from hearing the trumpet blast. |
2. When You Think You've Overgrown Saying "Lord, I'm Sorry" You see, this attitude is predominantly found among pastors. They almost never see any reason why they should confess sins. They spend too much time preparing for sermons and programmes and they have no time to think about themselves. They just look at themselves and smile, having without doubt to themselves that all is well, when all might just be unwell. It will take a very sincer and 'childlike' pastor to fall on his knees and say "Lord I'm sorry". Please pastors constantly say this prayer, it doesn't make you less spiritual, rather it makes you more dearer to God and hence more spiritual. |
