1. When You Don't Observe Sincere Retrospections When you don't occassionally ask yourself this same question: "What would make me miss heaven?" Actually this is the title for my retrospection today. Yes, when you don't occassionally sit and ask yourself "what could make me miss heaven", you deny the Holy Spirit the time He would have used to point out hidden sins you've committed during the day. If you're waiting for your quiet time the next morning before you "examine yourself", what if the trumpet sounds before you wake up? |
http://sundryvirtues..in/2016/09/six-things-that-would-make-you-miss_29.html If you're confused or you need more clarifications let us know after reading this. Actually this is one of the gravest posts that I've ever written, and as I write I can imagine my hands quaving and my heart thumping. They may not seem striking to you, perhaps I couldn't pick my wordings well enough to carry the 'feeling' it had and still has on me. I'll not dwell much on any of the points. Let the Holy Spirit shed more light on any issue as you read. Don't read this post with divided attention and please don't ever think "well, this is not for me", for that's the mindset that almost every believer has. When God's word comes forth, we always think its meant for the person next to us, but we are quick on the other hand to claim blessings, while we push over instructions. It's a pity what the church has become. These are the points the Holy Spirit gave me as I observed my daily retrospection. The following things will make you miss heaven: |
Richy4:Hmm..you are right bro..I would do just that ... |

RoyalRoy, Seun, Lalasticlala I need serious advice pls. Help move this to frontpage. Thanks. |
I stay at Benin, Edo state, with my aunt, a sick cousin and a house boy. The house boy, name David. I must admit he lacks certain manners and I dont blame him as such, as I know he grew up all along in the village, so you could imagine how sussy he might be atimes. I'm easy going. I'm a Christian. I take Dave as my brother. We talk, laugh, and of course 'hail' each other. Despite his flaws in behaviour, I see an obedient fellow, who just want everything calm and straight forward. He doesnt hide his feelings. He speaks without reserve. Now, here is the big one, my aunt. Oh, I once packed my things and set to leave few days after I arrived her place, but I was touched when I saw her weeping like a child, asking me 'who is going to help her at that time look after my sick cousin?', then she had not hired Dave,. So I changed my mind and stayed behind. Later on I left her and went to school, and this holiday when I visited I saw she had hired Dave. Well my aunt is very hot, very hot angered I mean. Oh, you'ld hate yourself when she explodes on you. She can say things that rips one's heart, she is very good at stirring up hot anger in even a very quiet person like me, that made me at that time almost left her. On the other hand, she is good, loving, kind hearted and she's a good giver. You can eat till you die at her home. Now, here's the biggest one, my aunt always gets into word tussle with Dave. She shouts, yells and barks, accuses most times unjustly, blames him almost on every thing that goes wrong in the house, and hmm..you should never pray to be under the weep of her tongue when she starts her blame or accusing game..that was what provoked me at first to leave. Dave being who he is, with his sharp tongues atimes replies or ignores her rather uncouthly and that aggravates the whole thing. Most times I just stand and watch as both get locked on in an arguement, I dnt know what to say or do. Sometimes I dont side her, and I dont still Dave esp where the issue at hand is no one's fault. What do I do? How can I curb this constantly reoccurring problem? Cos I really feel for Dave, sometimes he justs sits and cries after the usual catastrophe,.. I really want to do something but I dont just know what to do and my Phlegmatic 'introvercy' is not helping matters. |
The Birthing Of Inspiring Quotes In our world today, we have quotes on almost every and anything.http://sundryvirtues..com/2016/09/the-birthing-of-inspiring-quotes.html |
Seun:I don't doubt the existence of Allah (God), so why I should I ask if he exists? You are the doubter, you should be the one asking. |
Seun:Needless to say I couldn't bring you to be convinced as much as I would have done myself. You might be right. It doesn't mean that I don't know what and WHO I believe, but my arguements might not have been really indepth enough to convince you. I do wish you'ld come across one who can actually convince you. I'm happy I tried. |
I think this is beautiful. The rat race of life lies in an eleven letter word: "competition". The absence of competition gives out the real you. The presence of competition gives out a shadow of you. Always ensure you are not hidden behind your real self. Be good, if you are. Be bad, if you are. Be righteous if you are. Be profane if you are. The difference between you and your shadow is Reality. There is room for adjustments though, as much as there is also room for maladjustment. You can decide to adjust to be a better you, and that should not be coerced by "competition" Anything done out of competition is fake. It's like pretending to be fit for a 100meter race when under your pants is hidden, covered away, a huge sore that aches terribly at the slightest movement of your legs. You say it's braveness, or being strong, I say it's the result of the molten magma called "Inferiority complex" that has errupted out from it's shadows to dwell among men on earth. You say it's a nice shot at self improvement, I say it's a blind shot at self worth and ego. You say it's a platform that kills shame and offers a sense of belonging on a platter, I say it's a platform that seems beautiful on the outside, but within is a platter of debris and staleness. You say: "Now what!? How am I going to improve my looks, character, attitude, behaviour, words and appearance without taking clues from others." Wait, who ever said you shouldn't take clues? Whoever said you shouldn't learn from others. Of course you should. The drive of competition does not give you the chance and time to LEARN or TAKE CLUES, rather it makes you want to beat down the owner of the clues inorder to place you 'above' the fallen: that's cometition. You can never learn when you compete in life. You will have to miss dozens of clues when you fix your eyes on how to outsmart your opponent in a bid to makeup for your ego. IPhone 7 is out. You want to buy. Some ladies would sell their precious virginity for a metal: They did it before when 'Blackburial' was the craze of the day. So, why do you want to own that indomitable metal, iPhone7? Are you going for it because of what the phone has to offer, or you're going for the it just to feel that you belong? You see that? So, some people that barely know how to use 20% of what the phone can offer, struggles to have it in their purses and handbags, and the slightest opportunity they have, they flaunt it for the world to see. It's not their fault anyway, it's how far the molten magma of competition has dried and become stuck to their mentality, clouding their reasoning process. You need to break loose from the spirit of competition. You need to be yourself. You need to embrace self management. Cherish your worth. Take your eyes off the crowd, you don't belong there. Look up to men and women of virtue. Sit and listen when they speak. LEARN from their words, don't gloss over them. Don't fall prey to the waves of competition. Be real. Don't pretend. Pretenders are loosers, they lost the time they began wearing the face of some else. Be true to your character. If you find it faulty, make a sincere change. If you find no reason to change, then please don't change, no matter how foul you might be. We will get to the top. Be real, be natural, be you, and be HAPPY! rexben:Ok, there's no problem pls... I told u before that am not ready for this. The Rapture would soon take place. I have less time to prepare for that than to argue here. We will all know the truth when we get to HEAVEN. Thanks. |
Nairaland Faces (Emoticons), And Their Descriptions Though to many of you, thia may seem useless or unimportant, but for some new nairalanders who have not gotten use to the system here, I think this would go a long way to get them acquainted with NL. I implore mods and supermod (lalasticlala) to move this to an appropraite section and of course the frontpage if need be.Below are the faces (emoticons) that are very popular on Nairaland. Faces And Their Brief Description https://www.nairaland.com/faces/smiley.png: This indicates a smiling face. Sure you can use that to indicate that you're happy about a topic or a comment. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/cheesy.png: This is called cheesy, it's like saying "cheese" when taking a photograph. It's a way of showing happiness and fun in a greater degree. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/angry.png: This has it's name as angry, and just as the name denotes, it shows that the user is definitely annoyed and even mad either at the author of the post (popularly reffered to as OP) or a comment by someone. You might want to check yourself twice before "Quoting" one who says "I'm angry!" https://www.nairaland.com/faces/sad.png: This is the sad face. It shows total offence to the issue at hand. The user tries to show that he/she is not just happy about the issue. Situations that might trigger the use of this face ranges from Crimes such as rape, theft, to bad incidents such as accidents etc. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/shocked.gif: This is shocked, as the name implies, the use of this face shows the state of it's user. Words such as speechless, mindblown, surprised etc, are synonyms which describe this face. The user tries to express his outter shock and disbelief at the issue on ground. He thinks and assume how on earth such event might happen or occur. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/huh.png: This has the name Huh, it's the Westerner's way of saying "Kilode" in yoruba, "O gini" in Igbo and "Abin" in Hausa. It's used mainly if the issue posted is not clear enough, distorted infos, unknown grammatical expressions or foolish or unwise statements. It's use actually varies from user to user. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/tongue.png: This tongue face is a way of playfully showing a disapproval to something or someone. It's use is similar to the physical sticking out of the tongue, either to jeer, mock or make fun of something or someone. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/embarassed.png: Now this is termed embarrassed. It means exactly what the name implies: that you're extremely embarrassed by someone or something. The little patches on either side of the cheek of the face directly implifies the 'colours' that rises on our cheeks when we feel embarrassed in real life. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/lipsrsealed.png:Lipsealed clearly tells us that the user seeks to remain silent on the issue at hand, either because he's not prepared to say something yet, or he's not willing to speak at all. Yet also it could mean he has nothing to say or he is - like is commonly used on Social Media - 'just passing' https://www.nairaland.com/faces/kiss.gif: Kiss face signifies a sign of affection used by someone for some other person(s). Same gender usage could signify gay or lesbianism, and as such usage is maximumly reduced to opposite gender, whose significance actually is just for 'fun' and nothing else, at least none that the other members are aware of. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/cry.gif:Cry as its name implies signifies the total emotional breakdown of the user. He or she is severely touched by the issue on hand or relating to Reply or a Quote. Though this face shows grave emotional condition than sad, there is still chances that it might be used just for the fun of it, to show mere disapproval that might not even warrant tears. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/wink.png: Same as in reality, Wink, seeks the attention of the recipient(s). https://www.nairaland.com/faces/undecided.png: Undecided is one of the most popular faces on Nairaland. It shows one in a jolt between two decisions. Though its use at times differ from person to person. It could also be used as a 'critic' element. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png: Grin is the most widely used face on Nairaland. Its significance ranges from grinnings, mockery to full blown laughter, which actually acts as a 'synonym' to LOL. https://www.nairaland.com/faces/cool.png: Cool as the name implies is another way of giving a 'thumbs up' to a post, a reply or an idea. http://mescopaul..in/2016/09/nairaland-faces-emoticons-and-their.html |

Ifexxy:You can only do that when you go through the dashboard. Blog This method is just a simple, short and easy way to post. |
In this short and direct tutorial, I'ld be unfolding the very easiest and best way to post easily on your blog with your java, symbian or android phone (Nokia Asha, C2, Xpressmusic, C3 etc, Motorolla, Samsung, Sony etc) without getting a "Bad Request Error 400." It's very annoying when you get that "Bad Request" issh. You can use any browser at all, Opera mini, Uc browser, Bolt, IE, Firefox, etc. Also note that this method is only for Google Blogger, that is, .com blogs owned by Google. It supports HTML codings. Does not show HTML literally (unlike blogging from email), and posts quick and fast. Just follow these simple steps below: 1. Open your favourite browser (yours could be Uc, Opera etc, for me, its UC). 2. Log on to the email you used blogging. That is, go to www..com and sign in with your email and password. 3. After step 2. Open another page in your browser and type in this url address: https://www.blogger.com/blog_this.pyra 4. A page will open up. At the top of the page is a drop down menu were you select the blog you want to post on. Select your blog, put the title of your post, write what you want to post and click Publish Post 5. You can EDIT your post after publishing. Thats all. http://mescopaul..in/2016/09/how-to-blog-on-blogger-with-your-mobile.html cc: lalasticlala |

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday urged Nigerian youths from the South East to tell their colleagues agitating for the sovereign state of Biafra to forget about it even as he enjoined them to remain focused in life, pursue their dreams and reject those fanning embers of discord and disintegration of Nigeria.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/09/tell-your-colleagues-who-want-biafra-to-forget-about-it-buhari-urges-youths/&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwjq6argwo7PAhVow4MKHdF6C2AQqQIIBQ&sig2=9o4vniWxPcdUJBztcioXOQ&usg=AFQjCNEsNF_oa4NtCDNqD9h2KURIBcTaeA |
GossipHeart: :Actually what you said here is outrightly uncalled for. We were just meant to air our intelligebly view not to curse ouselves out of existence. I'm deeply pained that I made this thread where you decided to attract unecessary problems to yourself. Pls try as much as possible to quietly reverse what you've said and dont let the devil take an advantage of it. He's very tricky you know. Thanks. |
